Hello everyone I am starting this thread to discuss about the various Roms and Kernel which are f2fs supported. So if you were able to convert to f2fs please share your rom and Kernel so that others can try too.
I have been able to get succes with the following
1.RR rom and flash kernel
2.Uber rom and faster kernel
For both of the above I have used the latest twrp by Flash.

pretty much any rom + flash kernel works with f2fs

Strange. I tried but data keeps reverting back to ext4
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I'm currently running latest PN with franco kernel. Works with f2fs.
Ones that have worked for me + flash kernel.... Benzo, DU, PN, AOSP extended, nitrogen and Uber worked out the box. All the rest bootlooped
anyone tried ElementalX-N6P-4.05 kernel with F2FS ?
I just now tried RR rom and faster 2.1 but can't boot up but RR and flash is able to boot. For f2fs
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA-Developers Legacy app
I've tried flash kernel with multiple known f2fs capable roms and it always reverts my data back to ext4 during boot. Faster kernel is the only one I can get to run f2fs data/cache. Currently using nitrogen latest with faster 2.0 f2fs data/cache. Runs like butter. Ive used flash kernel on all my previous ROMs and loved it. "Using ext4". And honestly there not much difference in speed. Marginal if any.

Have you tried faster angler? I'm struggling to think which to use. I'm currently on Chads uber and faster angler and there's no way I'm changing Roms but I'm not sure about which kernel. Have you tried both? Thanks

Yeah I've used them both. Faster kernel seems smoother and less scrolling lag. Hellscore I get better battery life. Uber ROM is a nice "stock experience with speed. Nitrogen has the same speed with more customization options. " in a nutshell"

Actually Chads uber ROM is much faster and is on clang 5.0.0 but whatever. Which kernel do you prefer overall then?
I prefer faster kernel. Its what I'm currently using

You need to flash a kernel that supports OC and UC. Like the Cherry Picker kernel bundled with ShoStock 2.

This kernel that comes in CM9 ROM does not support OC? What kernel would be stable with the ROM that I use?
Thanks.

Download v3.2b1 - CWM Flashable
WITH mic swap (use this one if you are using a ROM directly from the I9100 forum, AOKP or CM9)

WITHOUT mic swap (use this one if you are using a ROM from OUR I777 forum like UCPLCx or anything based on these)

In case you're trying to use this kernel in CM 10.2/Android 4.3, it won't work. But it doesn't matter since CM kernel for this device is based on blade kernel. So just use the one included in the rom.zip

Ok, another thing is, that CM requires ramdisk changes in comparison to other AOSP roms, which is probably the reason it does not work. But also here the CM kernel is based on maxwens blade kernel, you have all features and options from blade kernel with the kernel included in rom.zip.

yeah but I just wanted a kernel that would allow me to tweak stuff like voltage and number of active cores , as the one that comes with CM roms usually don't allow that

It is the same kernel! Only with some Ramdisk changes to make your phone boot with CM installed, you have all those features if you use the kernel from inside the rom zip file!

Last try to explain it to you: the kernel included in CM rom.zip is the blade kernel by maxwens, there are only some very small changes to get it booting with Android 4.3 and some Cyanogenmod related things. CM does require certain kernel changes (not really kernel but ramdisk, which is also included in the boot.img) in order to get the kernel working. So as is said the kernel in the rom.zip file is the blade kernel with all of it's features, only some minor modifications were made (you won't notice any of them) to make it work with Cyanogenmod 10.2.
Now I get it, thanks

Why did the cm team go with using the old Mali drivers and not the newer r3p2? I'm currently using Temaseks v16 with 1.8.5 devil kernel with GPU control, and I gotta say its the smoothest experience I ever had! The newer Mali drivers are so good.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
The impact on new mali r3p2 drivers on other devices using same kernel branch. It breaks a couple of other exynos devices. Unless someone ifdef the kernel source and enable both old/new mali drivers or make devices that git broken compatible.
Remember i9300 is not the only device using smdk4412 kernel branch.

There are many my friend !! It depends on your interest !!
Presently these are top notches which are stable and i personally prefer this order top most at 1st in 4.4.4 for i9100
Cyanogen mod cm11 m12
Dirty Unicorns V 8.0
SlimKat
Paranoid Android 4.6 beta 5
PAC MAN rom
Omni Rom
Nameless Rom
Edit : Also NeatRom Aosp !!
Aosp Neatrom 8.0st is definitely a top notch performance ROM. Very good with power consumption.Try it..its better than cm11 m11

Yeah i was using cm11 m12 on Dorimanx kernel with greenify i got a battery life of around 10 hours with wifi on all the time and 5+hours on screen. And i didnt bother much about camera as i dont personally use much of my camera.. So there might be some problems with it I'm not sure and cant check them now too as Im presently on AOSP NeatRom, the one which you reminded me earlier
But i can say that cm11 m12 snapshot was good, smooth, stable and suited me !!
