Android Tablet Stuck Rebooting, Can't Enter Recovery Mode - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Greetings xda!
I came across the forum after searching the internet trying to fix my problem. I appreciate the advice in advance!
I have a Gigaset QV830 android tablet. I have had it about a year. or so A few days ago it started unexpectedly crashing/rebooting while browsing facebook and using firefox. It would start right back up until today when it finally got stuck rebooting at the Gigaset start screen. I let it sit for a few hours and nothing happened.
I was able to boot into Recovery mode, and I attempted to wipe the cache partition in hopes that I could reboot the tablet, save my data, and then hard reset. Unfortunately since I did this, I have been stuck in the android bot loading screen for hours now. Since I am a new user I can't post a link to the picture but it is the android bot with his front compartment open and a blue spherical structure spinning and a loading bar moving above it.
Now I cannot enter recovery mode to do a factory reset and my computer won't recognize my tablet. I am stuck and frustrated and am not sure what to do next. I plan on leaving my tablet plugged in over night with the hopes that the android bot loading screen will work itself out but I doubt that will happen.
I didn't do anything to modify my tablet in any way (all factory OS, just installed apps etc).
Any ideas on possible next steps? Disclaimer: I don't know much about android development but am open to learning/trying anything to fix this.
Thanks a lot for your help. :good:

I have tried a few things with no luck. Here is a bit of an update:
I installed Smart Phone Flash Tool, and the necessary drivers. I found two separate copies of my QV830 files to flash the system. I cannot flash my android with either of the system.img files. It gets stuck between 13-15% with the error message: ERROR: S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (0xFA8). Everything else will flash just fine with no errors (the boot file, logo, recovery etc).
I played around with a few other things. I found that if I tried to format or choose the firmware upgrade option, while they don't run successfully, they do seem to stop the android bot looping screen. After using these options, the tablet is unable to start whatsoever but after downloading the files to the tablet through the Smart Phone Flash Tool (again, all but system.img), I am able to start the tablet up and instead of getting stuck at the android bot screen, I get stuck at the Gigaset screen.
The good news is that I am able to enter system recovery now. The new problem is that when I try to wipe data/factory reset, the tablet gets stuck on the android bot screen and gets stuck saying --Wiping data..., Formatting /data... This once again when I reboot, gets me stuck at the android bot screen with the loading bar.
AHHH!! Ideas? Appreciate it!
EDIT: I also do have another, one of the Gigaset QV830 tablets that is working if that could be of any help to me.

Ok so I know its kind of late, and I'm new here, but I was having the same problem with the same tablet, and I wanted to know if I could follow the same steps that you did to revive your tablet. So could you please give me the QV830 file links so I could figure out how to use the flash tool to bring my tablet back to life? Thanks in advance.?

I did an oof!!!
I made an attempt to flash a ROM on my Quanta Gigaset QV830 tablet. It was the SDK and Fastboot ROM from Magisk Manager. That stupid decision may have soft-bricked my device, thus making it inoperable, yet repairable. I do not have a computer that will be of any help at the moment, as the only laptop I have is an Asus Chromebook C202SA under jurisdiction of a school district using Enterprise Origin, unless, of course, the repair simply involves downloading and unzipping a few files to an SD card.
My Quanta Gigaset QV830 tablet will not be read by a computer via USB, it will not boot into Recovery Mode, or Fastboot Mode, and it will not leave it's state of being in a constant bootloop. Please help me, as I have run out of ideas, and I cannot afford to get it fixed.:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

[Q] Flashing Any Android ROM on a (somehow) bricked Tablet Device (Tabulet Mech)

Hi Guys! I usually lurk around here, but now I really need some help.
Basically I have a Rebranded Chinese Tablet called "Tabulet Mech" and it's a redesign of a M701 tablet.
With a bit confidence of rom flashing, I tried flash a rom from a forum which talks about this type of tablet. With careful action I tried flash the rom using FWDN, and miserably failed T.T
while flashing on FWDN I used "Low format whole memory before download", so I guess the FWDN is formatting the whole tablet.
I dunno if I did something bad while flashing it, but since I didn't see any Recovery Mode available for the tablet, I can't exactly recover my tablet at all.
And now, I don't know if my tablet is already turned off or not, since the tablet is still heated up, and when I plug my USB on it, my PC still detect it (even my Moborobo), but since there's nothing on the screen, well you know I can't figure what's happening.
So my question is, is there any way I can install any rom to just make the tablet back working again?

[Solved] CyberNav 7" Chinese tablet- boot loop, doesn't boot- logcat

Hello, after playing with a tablet I got boot loop so below is solution for this.
This is what I wrote first:
I purchased Chinese tablet called CyberNav, there is link to the website with specs http://www.dracotek.com/cybernav-7-...ps-navigator-ultra-slim-wifi-8gb-gps70yw.html It works great and is worth the money. I received- on request- firmware for it, but it is with .img extension and I have no idea how to get to the files. Attached application PhoenixCard should install it on sd card but it does nothing. So there is my question- can anyone help me with it? Possibly root it? Or update to newer firmware version? I'll post a link to, just need to upload it to my dropbox on my next break at work.

im pretty sure you need a 3rd party application to flash that firmware, i think you load the .img file into the software on your pc, connect tablet in flash/recovery mode then flash it that way, dont know which software you would need to use though , sorry i cant help further
There is link to rar package http://db.tt/jm7eHfbq
If there is someone who wants to spend some time... Please help.

Some new infos:
As far I found out tablet is detectable during boot in adb, but it stays in boot loop. I think I've got right usb drivers.
I tried unyaffs the .img file using C:/unyaffs/unyaffs pw08.img but it shows file corrupted (might be wrong method?).
Logcat attached.
Maybe there is someone who will find what it's missing...
I see there is nobody who can help me, so... If some of u have similar problem with chinese tablet- bootloop, can't flash it with LiveSuit our update from sdcard, I found solution which worked for me. Using adb, pulled catalog /dev/data/ to hard disk, then deleted all dalvik cache, installed by me apps and almost every other file from /data on my hard disk. Then typed adb remount, then adb shell rm -r /dev/data/* to delete all data catalog on tablet. Then pushed /data catalog from my hard disk to tablet, and finally adb reboot. And it WORKS! Booting without problems. I wasted 4 days on research how to turn it in flash mode etc. But it was very simple.
Cheers

Hi, sek111
It was necessary to use the LiveSuite to flash through usb.
Thank you very much, from your post, I found the firmware for my tablet.
An experience with another low cost tablet with Bootloop
I happen to got my tab (Wammy from WickedLeak.org) stuck in BootLoop and was struggling to get a way out for the past 3 days, checking almost all of the posts for this issue!
The tab would stuck on the android loading animation despite running for 2-3 hours and after several hard reboots, it throw-ed following error-
Encryption Unsuccessful
encrytion was interupted and cant complete. as a result the data on your tablet is no longer accessible
to resume using your tablet, you must perform a factory reset. when you set up your tab after the reset, u'll hav an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to ur google account
Click to collapse
Despite going for the factory reset, it still didn't workout as the reset activity never completed or proceeded. I happen to be a beginner/noob and was trying my luck with possible solution but was comfortable with ADB stuff and workaround. Well i checked the solution which sek111 offered in this post and it was most closely helped me out. So i would like to Thank him a ton for sharing his solution.
Another method for few others if you don't get through the technical stuff and handling all the flashing tools, i was successful in bringing up the setting window of my tab and chose to do Reset via GUI which worked. Actually my battery got drained out to 7% and a popup message for same displayed while i was on the above error page. I selected the "check battery" option from that pop up and got my way out via factory "Backup and Reset" option under settings.
I hope this might help few people if not all! But the XDA forum is great and everyone will find a solution here. Cheers!!!
So I got this wm8850 chinese generic tablet. The camera is in the front in the middle (wide). It was shipped to me with 4.0.3 in boot loop. I soon found out that it boots into safe mode when I usb to pc. This is the furthest I've gotten with it so far. I can adb into it and have already tried to wipe data. It seems like since its from factory screwed up that a may need to reload the firmware or the os or something. Im kind of a noob because I only have my droid x. I've gotten it out of a boot loop before but I also knew what I had done to cause it so I fixed it. I tried to follow seks adb commands but im too noob to do it I guess. I was able to wipe data and dalvik-cache. Issue still occurs . If anybody can give me some adb commands than can help I would greatly appreciate it. Im fairly sure that I found the firmware elsewhere on xda. I thank you guys for any help at all you can give. I don't wanna send it back without trying everything software related as I can, but ill send it back if I can't fix it or if I brick it
Sent from my DROIDX using xda app-developers app
i have same problem in my china mobile.. dupad k1 ... after in installed new boot screen, device stuck in boot... please help to recover my device in step by step....

[Q] I need desperate help.

Hello guys! I have a HUGE problem with my Q88 Allwinner A13 tablet.
I installed an application on my tablet called Z4root, and I wanted to root my device. Two options came up and it said:
Permanent Root
Temporary Root
I clicked Permanent Root because what's temp root anyway?! Big mistake.
So, once it so called 'rooted' my device, it closed itself. I assume it was done. The app told me it would reboot but it didn't. So I turned it off and back on again.
Apon turning it on, I realised booting took a rather long time, but it got to it eventually! But here is when things started to go wrong. There was no Superuser app/folder. It had completely reinstalled a new os (I THINK) onto my device. But this O.S (I THINK) is buggy as hell. It FACTORY RESETS every time I turn it on, can't install any apps! As far as to my knowledge, it has NOT rooted either. When I go onto settings to check on my INTERNAL STORAGE, it says 0.00B on it, when the tablet came with 4GB?!?! So, thats messed up.
Then I thought to myself, FACTORY RESET! So, I rebooted into Recovery Mode from the Settings menu. I cannot get into it any other way as far as to my knowledge. As it booted up into Recovery Mode, it came up with a picture of an android DEAD with an red ! mark. Type down ON Google Images "android boot red triangle exclamation mark" It's that. I have waited FOR AGES for the options to pop up, but nothing is there. Only the picture. So, I can't do anything about that.
As I reboot, it is factory resetted again.
Also, plugging the tablet into my pc dosen't help I think because the Android driver "Did not install correctly". So I message the person I bought it from to provide me with the driver for the Q88 Allwinner A13 tablet. Got no reply.
What do I do? I don't care about my files, I just want a working tablet. Please help and plus, I don't know any Android techy language so please comment clearly so I can understand what to do to fix my Q88 Allwinner A13 Tablet. Thanks.
P.S I can boot into recovery using the BUTTONS. I have a POWER button and VOLUME ROCKER.
same problem
Hi,
I have the exact same problem with my allwinner 13 and the reason is Z4root.
The problem is that half of the memory is locked (1.96Gb) and it prevends installing apps. With ADB you can install things on an SD card but nothing works good and rebooting will give you factory settings.
The supplier will send me an SD card so I can flash the device.
If I have it I will come back to you (if it works).
How do I get in recovery mode with the buttons?

Tried to flash ROM to China tablet, appears hardbricked, please help?

So, for Christmas my daughter's mom got her an A33 Q88H QuadCore Softwinner tablet, and we discovered the OS it came with had some very strange issues related to a lack of compatibility with Google Play, so I tried to get around that with software, but I needed to be rooted. However, I had bizarre difficulties with SuperSU, unlocking the bootloader, rooting, and even more difficulties trying to flash a custom recovery that I could use to ROOT-- the obscure china tablet had no TWRP or CWM support. I finally tried a very convoluted method of flashing what appeared to be a ROM for the A33 Allwinner tablet, which hadTWRP already installed, so I could use TWRP to root it, and then finally fix the software issues.
However, the process didn't work, and when I rebooted the phone, I found it stuck on a black screen with a tiny android symbol, and that's how it's been since. Holding volume and power button only reboots it to the same screen -- no bootloader or anything, so I can't find any way to try to flash a factory ROM to get it back to regular settings. When I plug it into my computer, it makes the input noise, and shows up in Device Manager as "Android Device" with "Android ADB Interface" drivers successfully installed, but ADB doesn't recognize it as a device, and I can't get it into any sort of download mode -- it isn't recognized in My Computer as a hard drive. So, I can't find a way to interface with the tablet to reflash a stock ROM. :frown:
It's her Christmas present, so I don't want to admit that I've broken it; I've been trying to solve it all night for 12 hours straight, but I just can't find anything that works! Is there any way you guys can help me? :crying:
I tried to attach some pics but the uploader isnt working.

Needs help recovering Gtab.

I just got the Gtab (UPC300-2.2) but it fails to load anything.
It does not boot and gets stuck. I do not know the boot version of it or any versions of anything because I can't access it.
When I try to put it in recovery I only get the following 2 messages:
Recovery Key Detected
Booting recovery kernel image
Thats it. i took the SD out of it and same bit when I tried to access it I seen Update and recovery files and roms folder so looks like someone tried to mod it but failed.
Is there a way I can recover it to working state to ether restore it to factory or any recommended rom...
I kind of need instructions because I never messes with this type of issue yet, as in I haven't bricked a device to this state before.
I also need to find a charger for it. looks like connecting the USB does not charge the Gtab
Id prefer recovering it to FACTORY SOFTWARE.
Im just not sure where to get the Factory software and how to go about recovering it...
So far I found out that this unit possibly has Bootloader v1.2 but recovery that was loaded onto the device was for bootloader v1.1
I do know know what the previous owner tried to do to it but failed and screwed up the device. Im just trying to fix it back to working condition.
It does not matter if its factory rom or a modded rom, as long as its stable.
Also I read up I need NVflash or something like that to recover the units bootloader ignorer to get it to work.
Any help is welcome, and I thank you all in advance.
Well I did the stuff from one of the posts here using nvflash.
Nvflash —bl bootloader.bin —getpartitiontable p.txt
Returned the SOS partition to be 11
Then tried the:
Nvflash —bl bootloader.bin —download 11 recovery.img
Finished successfully but I still have the message while trying to enter recovery:
Recovery key detected
Booting recovery kernel image
Then just sits there with the birds background.
When I try to normally boot it it does boot but I can’t open settings or anything and I constantly get this error message:
The process Android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again with force close button.
It constantly pops up, like once every 3-5 sec.
when i got mine it was messed up too, sounds very similar. When I got to the Viewsonic birds logo I let it sit forever and i thought it was done for, but after sitting for literally hours it actually booted up and i've been using ever since. that was about 6 months ago. just find a charger for it, i cut the end off one with the wrong voltage and attached it to an adapter with the correct voltage and amperage. It says on the back of my device "dc 12V 2A" then get it to the birds logo and set it down. Go have a day at the park or let it sit overnight, go to work for a day, out for dinner. do something so you're not sitting there looking at it every five minutes. Good luck!
Would it be possible for anyone to provide me with either the files or operational links to the files needed to recover this device?
I've scoured this forum and found nothing but dead links to NVFlash and the like. Thanks in advance!
Seems like there are a few of us still rocking this piece of hardware, me included. I"m stuck in the same dilema and the links to all the restore files haven't been preserved. Is it best to just concede that the tablet is ancient history and go purchase a new one or are the nvflash files available somewhere on the web?
