Hello guys,
if someone can help me with this:
- I got a brand new galaxy tab A6 2016 Lte sm-t585.
- The combination Power Vol Up Home never brought me anywhere.
- I managed to get once into what I think is the bootloader mode
(text list of options that loads after you see the image of the droid open being operated)
when I was trying to get into Odin download mode for the first time.
Now I do not know if and how that mode is accessible (I never managed again to get into it).
- I wanted to install xda ULTRALEAN rom. To do this I first looked the tutorial on how to
install TWRP and root the device on xda.
- I installed odin 3.12.3 and samsung usb drivers, downloaded supersu and the verity file
for later,
- I picked the twrp-3.0.2-0-gtanotexllte.img.tar file from the relative
xda thread and followed the instruction exactly (The only difference is I could not load
the .md5 file since odin would hang, I read many people had this problem. I did it with the
.tar file directly and everything went like described in the gui). Until "PASS!"
- Now the bad surprise: after Power Vol Down Home in Download mode (I tried with both USB
cable attached and not) Power Vol Up Home doesn' t work. The system would eventually boot
the stock Rom.
- I repeated all these steps many a time, with no success.
- Then I made what I thought is the big mistake: I ticked Odin Phone bootloader update
button and repeated the procedure.
- Now the phone is stuck on the galaxy samsung a6 splash
screen. The only thing I can do is to go to Download mode.
Ok, don't panic, all is not lost. But first let me tell you that you are not in the correct forum. This one is for the old P7500/7510. You know, first generation.
Anyways, since you can put it in download mode and you have Odin installed, you only have to hunt for your stock firmware (sammobile is a good place to start} and flash that with Odin. Your tab should be as good as new.

I was trying to install cyanogen on my galaxy s2 which is rooted with clockwork mod but after the install finished and I rebooted, it got stuck on the boot screen - the black screen with the words "Samsung Galaxy s2" and the yellow triangle on it.
I can't seem to figure out how to load download/recovery mode via the phone. I know you're supposed to hold down volume down + home + power, but I think it doesn't work on the ATT model since the home key is capacitive so it doesn't register. I got around this to flash clockwork mod by connecting the phone to my computer and using adb. Now that it's stuck on the boot screen, though, the computer won't recognize it so I'm unable to get to recovery and restore my phone.
How do I get my phone back to working order?
I think there is an att sgs2 forum, but your best bet is to get it into download mode since you can't get in recovery.
Edit: try using kies it may help recognizing your phone or try on another computer
I've been through this stage a few times in the last 24hrs as I got to grips with my new S2.
My basic un-bricking solution was to boot the phone in Download mode and use Odin with a suitable "Samsung Official" ROM from www.samfirmware.com. The one I downloaded came with the latest Odin included. It had four *.tar.md5 files and the one which unbricked my phone was called CODE_I9100_blah_blah.tar.md5.

Hello, recently my Samsung s3 just shut off instantly and when I tried turning it back on it just remained stuck on the boot screen. It only shows "Samsung galaxy s III GT-I9300" there's no animations or noises after that or before it when you try to boot it up. Then I tried entering recovery mode but that failed, the only thing it can enter is download mode. So i tried to flash a stock ROM via Odin, however this failed. I'm not sure why since im not too familiar with flashing roms, I may have used the wrong stock rom for my phone. I bought this from T-mobile and had it unlocked to all networks, I did root this phone about two years ago, so it has a custom ROM flashed on it previously. If someone can take me through the steps to flash with the correct ROM it would be greatly appreciated. thanks
You don't flash ROM's via Odin in the same way as you do via your phone (CWM, Philz etc).
As I've just experienced the same problem try this.
Get Odin (3.0.4 upwards)
Make sure you have Samsung drivers installed on your PC (can be found by searching this forum)
Put phone in download mode
Start Odin
Goto androidfirmwares.net and download an i9300 ROM (must be a ROM file!!)
Unzip it (7zip, Winzip etc)
press PDA button in Odin. Select the file you just just unzipped (which should end .tar.md5)
Wait for it to check MD5
Click Start
You should then, fingers crossed, have a bootable S3.
From their you can install whatever you please once you have installed CWM or some other recovery.
Hello all,
So, let me keep it as short as possible.
The incident
I was talking on the phone, after the call i tried to hang the phone and there was just a black screen (phone stuck).
Pushed Power button steady and the phone rebooted and never boot again.
Mobile bio
The phone was rooted (2+years ago with CF Root)
Rom was stock European 4.1.2
I have available a full nandroid backup (boot.img etc)
The latest Custom recovery i had installed was CWM (ver. 4 something).
Current status
The phone is stuck at boot with a yellow triangle.
The phone can get to download mode (and be recognized by odin)
The phone cannot get to the recovery menu, (to be more precise when i press vol+, home, power the phone finally gets to a black screen {no backlight} but it is recognized by the command "adb devices" as in recovery status)
Kies cannot connect either in recovery mode or download mode. (Stays in connecting message).
Tried the following
Installed various kernels (Siyah-s2-v4.1.5, Siyah-s2-v5.0.1 etc)
Installed various roms (including stock roms) via odin with NO error.
Installed the original .pit file for 2Gb S2 system memory.
Tried the flashing method with 3 separate files (CODE_I9100XXLSJ.tar, CSC_HOME_OXX_I9100OXXLS1.tar, MODEM_I9100XXLS6.tar) via odin appropriate fields.
Tried two different Odin versions (1.85, 3.07)
So after trying all these, i finally rest my hopes in the community.
I really hope there is something more i can do, in order to fix my phone.
Thanks in advance for your time and effort.
Hello again...
Still trying to find a solution...
Some more info, in download mode i get the following info:
Custom binary download: YES (1 counts) and it doesn't change no matter how many times i flash anything through odin.
Does this count change only if you flash a new rom via recovery?
Anyway, i'm pretty desperate so i keep on trying to find a solution...
ANY help appreciated.
Ok, I know i'm going to look like a fool. You can tell me all you want about how stupid I am for downloading the wrong one but my phone is just stuck on boot looping i've tried so many different things to try and get it back and honestly i'm posting this because i've ran out of ideas. I need help, and honestly i'm way over my head i've used software i've never even seen before so please try and keep it simple. I must sound like such an idiot
Hi. In order for someone to be able to help you'll have to be more specific.
Exact phone model name, what you did to make it not boot, what you've tried to get it back, any errors during the process to where you are now?
Have you checked the S7 forum for answers?
I just bought a Galaxy S7 and it had Android 6.0 Marshmallow on it. I imagined that it wouldn't already be updated so I downloaded the stock 7.0 Nougat image from the SamMobile website. So I flashed the ROM and got the dreaded Samsung logo boot loop. I tried flashing over and over again with all different versions of Odin. Every website said to click on the "AP" button within Odin, browse to the .tar.md5 file and then flash the ROM. Well that's not the case. This is what I did to fix my boot loop issue:
• Open Odin as Administrator (right-click, choose "Run as Administrator") (I used v3.12)
• Put the device into download mode (Hold Power + Volume Down + Menu)
• Connect the device to your computer
• Odin should recognize the device and the ID:COM port should turn a color, usually blue
• Now your ROM image should be a .zip file, extract it. You should have five files, each beginning with AP, BL, CP, CSC and HOME_CSC. What you have to do is match up each one of these to the corresponding button in Odin. For the last button, CSC, I used the HOME_CSC (as opposed to the one that starts with CSC).
• This worked and my phone easily booted and was upgraded to Android 7.0
I hope this can be helpful to everyone!
Hello,
i've got a little Problem with my S6 Edge Mobile Phone. Since a few days when i press Power On, it's in a Boot Loop with the Boot Screen "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge powered by android".
The only Options i got are:
-Pressing Volume down and On/Off for restart
-Volume down, On/off and Home for Download Mode.
No Recovery Mode and if i want to shut off, i can only do this by removing the Battery.
At first, i checked all the Hardware Connections (a few Months ago, i switched the Battery, i thought, there could be a Problem with the Hardware). Then i tried to fix the Software. Smart Switch doesn't work (It couldn't find my Phone and is asking for a code), then i tried with Odin (Diefferent Versions, 1.85, 3.14 and 3.13) and different Firmwares (searchzed here, sammobile and with samfirm) and different Cables (With Samsung Original) on different Systems.
Each time Odin stops at "Boot.img".
It's an original S6 Edge with no Modification (except the new Battery) and no Root.
Can anyone help me? Thanks for your Support!
PS.: Sorry for my English, i'm from Germany and my English from School is a long time ago

If odin keeps failing at boot.img then this is because you are flashing an older bootloader. Try flashing a new firmware with the latest BL and see what happens. Try the UK BTU firmware, also I've found odin 3.10.7 or 3.13 work best with G925F
I had a very similar issue... but with my phone also the battery was dead, so i was able to turn it off by removing the charger. In my case it always stopped at the boot.img or some other. Here is what i did do to fix it
1. Use SamFirm to Download the right firmware... Download one time with binary nature and extract the pit file. The other one without binary is to actually flash.
2. Put in Download mode: In odin select the pit file and nand erase (repartition should be already checked) -> Start (Without any firmware selected).
3. The phone will now stuck at the samsung logo (maybe i a loop) *OR if i remeber correct it just showed the smartswitch restore massage(that's ok, its then already in download mode) ... start download mode (the screen will go black but that's ok)
4. In Odin select in AP now the firmware without the binary nature and flash without nand erase and repartition - Only by this weird way i was able to flash anything But it worked.
5. The phone rebooted and in my case it stuck still at the first boot graphic.
6. I turned the phone off - waited about 15h - and plucked it in without a fast charger and now it was booting.
7. It now booted android, but stucked at boot animation -> I restarted to recovery mode and wipe cache and did a factory reset. Then I rebooted and after this process it was finally booting into the welcome screen.
*Use Odin 3.13.1
I know weird, but it really actually worked for me
