Google Sign In goes to blank screen - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
My 8 year old took my HTC Sensation out of its drawer today and we set about upgrading it. Finally managed to get ivanich's lineage 14.1 ROM installed and running with GApps nano. The phone runs ok better than before but the problem is I can't sign in with Google Account. When I try to sign in by clicking on Sign In the screen goes blank and white... Nothing happens and sign in does not proceed... How can this be fixed please?

Hello, I managed to resolve a very similar issue by switching to Google WebView. Basically following the steps in a techtricks article.. I am being prevented from posting links.. Google keywords: google webview blank techtrickz.com 14.1
should get you there.
The gist is: download the google webview apk and install it, then go you developer options in your settings and switch the webview implementation to Google Webview

Cannot get market place to work on Gtab

Hi all, I just changed ROMs on my GTab from VeganTab 7.0 to now CyanogenMod 7. I am having a couple of issues with it mainly this message DSPManager (process com.bel.android.dspmanager) has stopped unexpectedly) as soon as my GTab has been booted up. And Google Market does not work for me. I installed market Version 3.1.3 but when I open it, it says "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?" Whether I choose Yes or No, it will just kick me back out to the main screen.
And help would be appreciated.

[Q] New Android location service with CyanogenMod?

Hi, has anyone tried the new location service at https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager yet?
My phone does not seem to respond to anything there. It cannot get a location, and I can not force it to ring. I also cannot use the web link to make the phone go to the Google Settings.
There is no message that it failed to ring my phone, or failed to send the message to go to Google Settings... Just, nothing happens.
I am able to push apps to my phone via the App Store from a browser, so I assume my Google account is set up for my phone correctly.
Does anyone know if this service is available in CyanogenMod 10.1? Do I need to enable it somewhere? Or do I need to install something for it to work?
I am using a Samsung i9001 with the latest ADC Team rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315448
Also installed the latest gapps from that thread.
And this custom kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2315721

Well, I tried it again today, and now it worked. I could make my phone ring, and the notification was also sent successfully. In fact, I got the same notification about 10 times, probably a backlog of all the times I tried it before, but they didn't arrive earlier for some reason.
After a few tries, it even got my location correctly.
I have not changed anything on my phone, didn't install or uninstall anything, didn't change settings.
I think it was a problem in the Google service itself (perhaps it was overloaded because so many people tried the new feature).
So anyway, at least on my CyanogenMod 10.1 ADC Team rom, it works!

Problem with Google services connection

Hi,
my phone is:
Redmi 3 Pro
Android 5.1.1 LMY47V
Miui Global stable 7.3.2.0.0 (LHPCNDD)
After two weeks of perfect usage, a problem with Google services connection appeared:
can't sync, can't enter gmail, Play Market, can't add new Google account, etc.
I've tried:
deleting Play Market's cache - no results
removing current Google account - no success, "doesn't permitted by administrator"
add new Google account - no success, since there's no connection to Google services.
reinstall Google services - no success, phone isn't rooted
back to factory defaults - worked for another two weeks, but then the problem reappeared.
Two weird things:
once in a while, in a couple of days, connection reestablishes for a minute and a sync is done
after a restart of the phone, connection to Google is good, but disappears after 2-3 minutes.
Is there any things I can try to do before flashing a new ROM?
I also have this problem, don't know what to do! Please help some one...if you fix this problem please share your guides.
Your are using a Shop Rom (Unofficial Room from the seller).
Better flash the official Global room from Xiaomi http://en.miui.com/download-298.html
Or the unofficial from xiaomi.eu https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424944320

Its official global rom by miui.
Your Version with 2 zero at the end show you have a Vendor room.
You can check here if you want https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/need-to-flash-7-3-2-0-0-lhpcndd-not-successful.33274/
Try installing Google play games, when it runs it will hopefully prompt to install or update Google play services as required. See if that helps

[Solved] Stuck in Google Sign In after new installation

[Solved] Hello,
I installed Xiaomi.eu ROM (tried Global/Russian MIUI as well, same procedure) and am stuck in the phone setup process. Google detects, that this device was reseted and forces me to login with the old google account, and i cannot skip this step whatsoever. I deleted my google account a few days ago and have been using my phone with a fake account/without google services.
Any way to get out of the MIUI setup process and maybe have the option to create a new account. Singing in to another google account doesnt work "not the device owners account..".
Edit: Same on PE. But i figured the fake account out Problem solved for me (for now) /closed
can you add the word "solved" to your tittle.. Because we go here to heop you but problem is already solve.. thank you

Question Help with Lenovo Legion Y90 (L71061)

I bought the Y90 from Aliexpress and was assured the device will come with google play services and google play.
I understand the phone is a china ROM and I checked the bands for Australia and it seemed that it would work.
After receiving the phone, I tried to add my google account to the phone to begin to import my saved data and download apps.
However, all I get is "Couldn't Sign in there was a problem communicating with google servers try again later".
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this (it is my first post) but this was the best place i could find with regard to lenovo china ROM related queries.
Also, is it possible to install a different ROM on this phone? (I've seen that a global ROM is generally required to install custom ROMS. I'm also a noob with this stuff so be nice)
Thank you!
Hi,
I also have the y90 after I recieved from china, I updated it and google play service stopped working.
I can try to send you the my gdrive link below:
google-play-services-22-18-20-040300-451484765.apk
drive.google.com
You can download from there and try installing the framework(google services apk) and install google playstore direct from the app gallery provided with legion y90 china.
you can also find the google services apk on uptodown.com website, I downloaded it from there.
First you need to remove the google play store and google play services from the app management in settings (clear storage and clear cache before uninstalling the google playstore and google services).
Then download the google services apk from my link and install the services then install the google playstore.
Enjoy your Legion y90.

Hello, all u need do is go to Settings > App management. In App management, u will see three dots above. Click on the three dots at the top right corner and go to Google basic Services. Off and On the toggle button. This time, u should be able to open google applications and login to them without any problems
Are you facing issue with lenovo legion y90 for notifications.
Whatsapp notifications and google notifications not popping up.
I somehow fixed it by reinstalling the google play services and it just worked.
Will definitely look at the app management section it seems it will come in handy.
Yes, I also have a problem will notifications for most applications just not coming through unless I physically enter the apps then the notifications will come through altogether. That's why im interested in a custom ROM hopefully someone can help with it in the near future..
Hello. You guys don't have contact contact issues? It gradually erases my contacts. I import them from a file to the phone memory and it does the same thing to me. I passed them to a microsoft account and still they keep disappearing.

have the same problem did u solve it ?
Anyone wants to try to root?
Quick question to Y90 users, since I can't find the info anywhere else, what's the thickness of the Y90 at the edge and at the bump?
I've found in specs that the thickness of the phone is 10.1 mm but it doesn't specify if at the bump or not.
im receiving it cant sing in on google services, does anyone knows what to do ?
I found the issue go to settings > manage apps > ... > google services > activate it.
Then try again
