Some of them work android auto?
I connect leetv max 2 with the original USB-C cable to my car (KIA RIO) and my car does not detect it, I performed several steps:
1) connect usb cable, ask me the USB mode I want, I have selected MTP, PTP and only load and it does not work.
2) I enable the USB debugging mode, I connect max 2 to my car, it asks me the USB connection mode, I tried with all and it does not work.
3) The bluetooth also does not connect, in fact leetv max 2 does not show the bluetooth of my car.
I changed my nexus 6 for this equipment, nexus 6 did not give me problems with android auto and my car, always worked.
Thank you

Hello folks.
I bought this phone 3weeks ago and I can't use it with my kenwood kmm u11 car audio. When I connect my phone via usb to car audio, files are being read but sound is coming from the phone instead of car's speakers. Also I have tried it with some other car audios and it did not worked. My phone has B370 build and I could not find a solution for this situation. Please help me if anyone has a solution.
It can't work as a USB mass storage device as the radio doesn't have the right protocols.
When you connect it to a windows PC, it install drivers. A radio can't do that.
Sound only through BT or 3,5"mm jack.

I have an LG G2 and it works with usb connection. What is the difference? Honor 7 and LG G2 have Android 5.0.2. I can't get the point.

USB works like any other mass storage device. Might be compatible or not. The the device that's accessing the files plays and handles the output.
The car radio could have a protocol to control through USB the android music player. Check if H7's music player is working. There's also a similar protocol for iOS.
Finally, there's only 5 ways of getting audio out from Android, to other than built-in speaker:
1- 3,5" jack audio out (headphones but works with anything)
2- MHL, for compatible devices, but audio is automatically routed
3- HDMI out, audio automatically routed.
4- Bluetooth, audio automatically routed.
5- Wi-Fi cast, audio automatically routed.
You can use USB as an audio output, but you have to fiddle with the OS. And I'm not sure if it's possible with all devices.
@blast4620 some devices have inbuilt Mass Storage mode, but Honor 7 just have MTP protocol and no Mass Storage protocol.
MTP protocol requires some drivers to be installed on the device to which you are connecting your phone, so it can't work on your Kenwood Player.
Whereas Mass Storage mode doesn't require any drivers to be installed, it's just like Plug & Play(A USB Pen-Drive). So, your LG phone must have a Mass Storage mode, but Honor 7 doesn't have it.
I hope this helps.
I'm trying to switch it on so i can use it as a microphone for pc using WO MIC. It works just for 2 seconds before the connection is lost and i can realise the usb mode is switched back to file transfer.
Right now im switching to h2os back, hope it will work on it. Any other solutions i should try ? Tried both debug mode on/off.
UP. I switched to stock H2os and there is no "MIDI" usb mode listed. I still cannot connect phone's mic to pc using WOMIC cause it's not detected ! The only way i could get it to work was in MIDI mode, but it would switch back to MTP the next second. I could test the mic in these 2 seconds and it works !
Got drivers installed, debugging mode ON, tried three different usb cables. Please help me out with this
AS for other way to link the phone's mic to pc there are : BLUETOOTH and WI-FI
*for bluetooth, i doubt my pc has such thing
*wi-fi : I am connected through cable to my router whereas the phone is connected through wi-fi to the same router.
*usb : my only hope. I heard it's the fastest connection though, and it wouldn't bother me to charge the phone as well while i'm using it as mic. IF IT WORKED !

Midi USB mode is listed on my OPX with LOS 16's Yumemichi test build.
Not sure it works...
What's on you system?
Is there anyone success in connecting this phone to a car using "Android Auto" ? I try many roms in the kenzo development section but none of them makes the phone being detected by the car through USB. I had another Mi Note Pro on the CM13 rom and the phone is connected to the car through USB cable.
on my note 2 i have to connect the phone and then activate thhe MTP protocol. it gets deactivated automatically a few seconds later. after that android ajto works perfectly good. maybe this will help you
I know this is an old thread but any solution?
I purchased this indash Pioneer unit for large screen display of nav info using Waze or Google maps. The phone function connects OK via USB, the bluetooth connects OK for music, but the Pioneer will not recognize the phone's nav input.
Two different brand phones owned by the radio shop crew connect flawlessly to the unit via USB. They have tried repeatedly to get the X829 LeMax2 running stock Android 6.0.1 to connect, without any sign of success.
Could it be the USB-C? The two other phones are the older style USB.
Anyone have a solution?

Hi!
Do you use Android Auto?
Do you enable the connection to your Pioneer?

Thanks for the info - I had not heard about Android Auto. I tried it, and it does not recognize my Pioneer unit. It is not listed either as an accepted or rejected car.
After some experimentation, I found that the problem apparently is in the USB-C. I had thought the phone was commecting via USB, but it was using BT. A. Auto will connect via BT but not by USB.
I tried with USB set for debug or not, for MTP or not, but nada all ways. The Pioneer will not connect via the USB-C. A thumb drive of music with the old style USB connects perfectly, so it is not a defective USB connection in the Pioneer but the C format. HELP!!!

Bluetooth issue
My Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G does not connect automatically to my paired devices like car (most important), speaker, pc, headset. I always have to connect manually, entering the Bluetooth menu and select the device and connect it.
It has the latest global rom.
Tried to sent the issue to Xiaomi, added logs, but no response from them. Searched Internet, no solution.
Anyone has a solution?
Laptop no connection
I found a solution here to connect to laptop/pc with a USB-A port and it works but...
My Asus laptop doesn't have a USB-A port only 2 USB-C ports and I cannot connect the phone here. Updated all drivers etc. but no connection.
This is frustrating since I want to transfer music this way.
Any solution would be great.
Thx for the support
