[Solved] SGS2 stuck in boot animation after flashing stock rom - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need some help with my SGS2.
I was on custom rom CM (6.0.1) with Team win recovery. I wanted to give away my phone to an elderly person and tried flashing the stock firmware with ODIN 3.
All went well but after restarting the phone is stuck at Samsung boot animation for long time.
I tried reflashing, restarting, wipe cache partition, factory reset etc but nothing worked.
Any idea how to come off this?

You repartitioned your phone to install cm13
So you have to repartition your phone again with stock pit or a pit that have 1.5gb system and 512mb preload to install stock rom , you will find all needed pits in the repartition thread by Saber.
Flash the pit in odin with CWM kitkat compatible recovery, reboot to recovery and wipe data, cache, dalvik cache, system, and internal storage then reflash stock rom and it should boot

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3, I9300 weird problems

HI.
I had installed Odin and flashed the touch CWM 6 to my phone then I installed PureHD custom rom.
I noticed that the phone would reboot on its own every now and then.
But when it reboots, it just goes into a boot loop up to the logo , then reboots again.
Till I take out the battery, wait a little while , then re-insert the batter.
After that the phone will boot "normally" and would be functional for some time again.
I decided to change the Firmware, so i downloaded the cm-10.1-20130701-crDroid-build5-i9300.zip and install it.
That loaded fine for the most part.
I say that because when i try to use the sms application i noticed 2x since last night.
It does the same thing. It just reboots and get stuck at the logo once again.
Also I cannot copy items to my phone when its connected to my computer via the usb cable.
It tells me "cannot copy to device, either the device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.
All this is very frustrating.
I am thinking about trying to load a stock rom via Odin to see if that will help.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks..

have you tried a hard reset? format data , cache and dalvik in recovery? after you successfully flashed stock rom? hope that helps
Try using MegaWipe from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832326&page=31
and then flash a ROM.
Just don't forget to backup the Important stuff.
Just wipe phone and install stock rom

You don't mention the word wipe so I figure you didn't do that. If you can't get into the phone you should do your battery-removal thing and let the phone get into the OS, then connect USB and copy out the files you need to save. If you've got a backup to your extSDcard that would be helpful - you can always restore data from an advanced CWM Restore setting.
Copy the ROM you want across to the estSDcard using USB
Download megawipe, copy it to estSDcard and flash it in CWM.
Flash your ROM and restart phone, Set it up and once done, then start adding apps and restoring data, THEN make a full backup.
As a rule, the only time you do not do a full wipe of your phone is when you are flashing a point upgrade. i.e. going from AbcROM 7.1 to AbcROM 7.2 - if you are changing ROMs or doing a full step upgrade (AbcROM 7.x to AbcROM8.x) you need to do a full wipe to avoid problems.

Galaxy S3 stuck on boot [stock, never rooted]

hey,
so my friend brought me his S3, never rooted or tampered with. He just said the phone went into boot and never recovered. I can go in download mode but not recovery (my initial plan was to wipe cache).
he would kind of want his data intact but I don't know how viable that is by now..
Any advice?
Thank you

Try flashing a custom recovery like twrp or philz touch. But it actually sounds like a soft brick. worst case scenario you would have to flash a new firmware/

The phone's own recovery mode is not much flexible as other third-part recoveries. So I guess you have to install CWM recovery and wipe dalvik cache from there before booting. Try installing CWM recovery via Odin and then wipe dalvik cache. And don't worry, installing custom recovery won't root your phone.
If the stock recovery can, wipe the cache and dalvik cache

How can I know what that is? I can't boot the phone to see the exact model? Says I9300GSMH on the back behind the battery so I should assume that's accurate?

[Q] GT-S5839i Bricked :(

This is my first thread, so hello!
Me and my sister both have a S5839i, and my sisters just randomly bricked, and it is on a boot loop.
I have tried EVERYTHING online- recovery mode, downloading firmware with odin...you name it.
I have used the totoro_0623.pit file, and on Odin, it said it passed. But then trying with all the other firmware, it didn't work.
Yes, I am using the right version of Odin, and I don't have Kies running at the same time as Odin.
This is what happens when I put S5839IBULL1_S5839IVD2LH1_VD2.tar.md5 into the PDA section in Odin. This is the Germany Vodafone firmware, someone else posted in the forums. I have tried the UK one with the 3 network (what my region and network is) , but that doesn't work either, and comes up with the same thing in Odin.

Get the official firmware needed on Sammobile.com, you need an account on there. Don't worry it's free. Flash it as PDA on Odin. Make sure your phone is in download mode (volume up+volume down+power). If it boots, the boot animation might start looping. From theres you can access recovery (volume up+power+home). In recovery you wipe data and wipe cache and select reboot. It should work.

Hi
Don't panic !
Is not a brick, but Odin doesn't support one file (PDA) package.
You need to use Odinatrix to create a 3 files firmware or download a 3 files firmwares

Format the data
Put the pit file and tick Repartition. And then flash with Odin.
And you have to use Cooperve pit, not Totoro, it's for SGY

Can someone please help me I was on CM 10.2/CM11 and wanted to restore factory images, because my Audio Plug-In didnt work properly anymore and my screen had some pixel errors.
I tried to flash a CWM touch recovery, but that did work only once - then flashed the bootloader downgrade Restore_Bootloader_XXBLFB.zip, but
I still couldnt flash any factory firmware
I also tried this here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2083860
Tried method 2 of that one, didnt get me in position to install the stock firmware.
Does anyone have any advice?
I still can enter CWM (or install it) and can enter Download Mode
I tried 4.3, 4.1.2 and 4.0.4 , nothing worked
Update #1 I could reflash cyangenmod over cwm again and my cell works too. *phew*
How do I get back to stock rom? Meanwhile I'll try mobile odin
update #2
mobile odin worked, got back to stock. just letting u know.
Have you tried another version of ODIN? I used to have some issue with version 3.0 and above. So it seems that version 1.8.5 is more stable that the new ones... try redownload your ROM, maybe it has some issues too.
Finally, use SAMSUNG SG3 TOOLKIT, I have used that too and without any issue.
Good Luck

Galaxy S2 i9100 Odin problem without flashing

Hi to everyone,
i had a problem with my galaxy S2 i9100 with stock ROM 4.1.2 with root executed by philz temporary recovery, i hope someone may help me.
Yesterday i was taking a picture and suddenly my phone showed Galaxy S2 logo, I think started bootlooping. I tried entering in recovery mode, sometimes showed "Applying csc etc." but never entering in recovery menu, other times blank screen.
So I decided to flash stock JB ROM with odin, my phone can enter in download mode correctly and stated original samsung binary and counter 0.
I used latest branded H3G stock ROM downloaded from sammobile: I9100XWLSD_I9100HUILS4_HUI Odin recognized phone but stucks on
Code:
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

I followed this troubleshoot trying with multiple odin version, more cables but nothing worked. So i tried flashing philz custom kernel PhilZ-cwm6-XWLSD-OXX-4.87, odin started writing NAND but received write failed, i checked download mode and now i have custom binaries and increased counter with yellow triangle during power on.
After i tried to flash an old bootloader, and this flash was succesfully completed, but not resolved any problem.
Finally i tried to flash wipe JB leaked ROM linked in troubleshoot thread linked above with three separete files for PDA, CSC and MODEM but no luck. now when i power on, phone shows "Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue" message.
What can i do? Any suggestion will be appreciated
Try an older stock ROM with Odin (GB), and use a PIT file to repartition at the same time as flashing the ROM.
Then once you've got GB working, upgrade incrementally.

Do you mean selecting PDA from sammobile and pit file? Where can i get the stock one for pit?
I read about repartitioning with pit files that's a risky procedure that can brick phone definitively are there other safer procedures?
EDIT: Tried to flash stock ICS without pit and still not working
