hi guys, im currently working on a galaxy a3 2017 rom for j5, its almost done. a friend of mine will also make nougat mods so u will be happy
heres a list of remaining bugs
Remaining bugs of A3UX ROM
-messages and incallui opens slow
-camera (no filters)
-radio
-aod and blue filter
also it wont have multiwindow since, as far as i know, a3 2017 doesnt have it.
possible bug is, front camera flash not working but we will see.

Check on J7 ROM section, they have A3 2017 full port, it is one of the most stable ROMs, because of similarity between devices, and it is one of the best looking ROMs if you ask me.
rom will be up in 1 hour for j500fn, u can flash ares for j500f and m but no volte

Sim card 2 have no voice as the base ROM is cm11 and it have this bug.
This ROM gonna Have same bugs as cm 11. ,so don't ask about sim 2 bugs

Hi guys, I managed to succesfuly port A5 2015 6.0.1 firmware and its AWESOME. It has a hybrid lollipop-kitkat UI, and alot of kitkat apps, even the old Camera! Also private mode is there. Here are some 4K pictures that i took:

Even the a5ux is fast with kraken kernel and some tweaks in Kernel aduitor app

Hi XDA people, I have the pleasure to present you the ultimate J5 2016 roms' and kernels' thread.
Before everything, I am going to explain you the story of all the roms and kernels development for J5 2016...
Everything started in November, 2016, there was a man, called @KingRaheel who started making the first two official custom roms, they were Light Stock Rom and Williams Hybrid Note 7 Rom...
They were heavy and full of bugs, but on January he released Light Stock Rom V3 but he closed Williams Hybrid Note 7 Rom project because he didnt have the device... He was working blindfolded...
I started to help him testing all he had done... Reporting bugs... But when he gave up, he gave both projects to the Big Boss,
@GeneticEnginer, but by then he was only an apprentice, and @KingRaheel had to teach him all his knowledge...
After a long period of time, he released more projects and started to collaborate with other Big Bosses... they were @Wizardlysense @zonik and others...
He started working very hard, but how he was going to the university, so he didn't has enough time to develop with university exams between... But he achieved it, he released a lot of projects, fully working, with very little quantity of bugs... Then he created his own kernel too... Basically, he took the situation very very well...
After a long time, he finally achieved it, he achieved porting CyanogenMod 13 and Lineage OS 14.1 to J5 2016, a very hard challange. Then, J5 2016 community started helping him, giving a lot of feedback and trying to solve some bugs... Like in call audio (the worst and most difficult to solve).
While he was hard working, other developers made other builds for J5 2016, and now, we are here, with a Mega account with all the roms, and kernels of J5 2016 community...
I repeat, thanks a lot for all your job, you made this possible. We love you <3

I am not the creator of any of this roms and kernels, but you can see in the roms folder a folder for LineageOS, inside there are two versions, the third is going to be uploaded very soon, with no random reboots.

I have installed it and until now its pretty stable. But like op said you should wait for v3
Edit: Anyone on v2. Google now feeds don't work. The device gets laggy and weird behaviour so I have to reboot.

Make sure you are using latest twrp by lemlis.
Go to wipe then check system then click change filesystem to ext4. Then try installating it

What changes in version 2?
This rom is sensational, I only found an inconvenience that I use a lot of photo editing applications and especially AfterFocus, whenever I save the photo it does not show in the gallery, nor in the folder it creates, I thought it was an app error but when testing in another ROM based on Android Oreo, it saves normally, I do not know what I can do.
