So your using an x829 in Germany? Did you unlock band 20? Does your device have the FCC info printed on the back?
I live in Poland. FCC is printed. Band B20 is locked

No x829
Be careful with x829 version. I bought one in switzerland. But the change for data connection does not seem to work. Only with Sim1 I get data connectivity. Change is greyed out in the menu. With my x822 it works all fine.
At Gearbest. Use coupon code 'LeEcoGB'. 189,99 USD and free shipping (depending on what you choose).

Did you flash the stock Chinese 020s?
i jsut received my x829.. anyone know will chinese 020s rom work for this x829?
This is the same question I am asking myself. As I have been asked whether I flashed it, I would assume that it works.
Tinydeal X829 grey 4gb/64gb
initially paid 240€ all inc. for gold X820 6gb/64gb.. since they coultn't deliver startet little email-battle and got the x829 with 84€ refund on my initial investment
156€ for grey X829 is a good deal, i think

yes my x829 came with google apps preloaded and no updater app..
after several thread and forum, i did flash cn 20s on my x829 and it work fine.
at first i try flashing 20s using eui recovery, but it fail with error message 'Cause:corrupted'. i know its not cn20s rom fault, because i already use it on my x820..
then i find a thread mentioning i must use twrp to flash it, then i follow the clue and 20s installed without problem..
if you need guidance, use this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/protocol-backup-stock-rom-flash-stock-t3517151
Fyi i didnt use sideload adb, i just copy the zip file to x829 storage and clean + install from zip like usual.
hope it help..

happy flashing!!
btw it seems fingerprint on x829 is not as good as on x550..
on x550 95% accuracy with <1 sec respond time, but on x829 70% accuracy with >1 sec respond time..
dunno why they change hardware or software for it when it used to be perfect..

Hello, so I am pretty much looking to buy this phone. Actually, I am not even sure if it's this exact phone. What I am looking at is the snapdragon 650 3GB ram 32GB ROM variant. It seems that this xda is a mix and match. I want to know if this xda is for the phone I am looking to buy. Also where should I order this phone? I've looked at gearbest, and this is what I found (http://www.gearbest.com/cell-phones...tm_medium=calinapostALLEN&utm_campaign=review). I am not a huge fan of MIUI, so I am not exactly sure if the phone that I am looking to get has XDA support. Honestly sorry if I am posting in the wrong phone section, I just thought that this phone was really good for the price and it would be a really nice upgrade from what I have now.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Stay away from gearbest, you will probably end up with a vendor rom.
It can be got for good value from aliexpress sellers "Top One" or "Goldway"!
All xiaomi phones come with MIUI, but you can flash customs roms like CyanogenMod.
or better geekbuying....

Top One -- This is where I purchased mine.
Goldway
If your in the EU, you can avoid customs by using EU DHL Express with "Top One" which is faster shipping than "Goldway's" sellers shipping method.

And you should check for your countries LTE bands.
The new "Special Edition" (Kate) Supports a lot more LTE bands, than the older models. it has its own global ROMs.

The special edition "Kate" has no custom rom support yet and you maybe stuck with MIUI.
It does support more 4G bands.
I jst thought abt u before 1 month ago, but at last i got courage and i ordered this mobile, and belive me it was one of the best mobile in so gud features and very cheap price.
Give it a try and miui isn't bad at all im using it for a month n its same as any other android os bt wth better features and tweaks.

Hi there,
For users in USA who wish to use Le Max 2
1. Which version should we buy X820/X822? I've read model number are assigned based on where these phones are being sold (china x820/indiax821). But I am making sure if buying a specific version is beneficial in any way for USA users (spending 300+ dollars and don't wish to ship stuff back to china)
2. Will the phone work with 4G LTE Band 2,4,12 (confirming even though tech specs indicate it would)? Do I need to do something special to enable them?
3. Once model suggestions are given, shall it be rooted and then custom ROM be applied? If yes then which one? OR Shall we stick to standard out-of-the-box ROM?
4. I frequently travel to Asia (India). Do I need to do something to make the phone work on 4G bands there?
Buy the Le Pro 3 which officially goes on sale 2 November in the USA for 299$ instead. It's just straight up a better choice.
As I mentioned in the post, I travel to India quite often. I would have bought Pro 3 if it supported 4G bands in India. It is also missing dual SIM capability. Again for my needs, I am leaning towards Le Max 2
le pro 3 is not straight up a better choice, it's actually not comparable to the le max 2 at all since it's the le pro line. Two different phone type basically. I believe Le Max 3 is coming soon.
Well, I appreciate your input. I still am waiting for answers
Anybody?? Shall I buy le max 2 phone to operate in US?
Yes u will not be disappointed! However, get a tempered glass protector for your front screen and camera glass on the back.
Le max 2 is an awesone phone for its price (210 euro). I am from europe and flashing the latest china rom s18, gave me full signal on 2g 3g and 4g.(very good stock rom) Good battery all good. It can even record calls, it works on USA networks too.
Just make sure when you buy it the proccesor is snapdragon 820.
There are many inferior max 2 with lesser proccesor, snapdragon 820 is a lot better and others not worth it just to save a few dollars.
Many people complain about the fingerprint only and always the fingerprint. But for me is lighting fast and acurate.
The (x821) will work fully in the USA I have it working on T-Mobile I get volte and I got the 4gb 32gb version for $250 on eBay
I bought X820 and it arriving in 4 days. Kindly share any changes you made to the phone and how. Appreciate your help.
In US u should buy x829
My x820 arriving tomorrow. Too late for x829.
Will x820 not working with lte bands in USA? I'm little concerned now. I would appreciate if you provide reasons why to go for x829
all the phones have same bands and will work for US LTE. I'm on AT&T now and I got 60mbps on LTE
Thanks xterminater07!
I would appreciate if you can provide information on first few things to do get going with the phone. Like do i have to do something to get google app store working?
Hi all,
I'm keen to get the Mate 10 (non Pro) 6GB/128GB now - and I see some of you have it! (I have the Mate 9 Pro)
I'm in the UK - where's a good place to buy it? I see Wondamobile and TradingShenzhen and some of you give good reviews.
A few places like Banggood have it but not available for weeks.
Can this version be rebranded? FunkyHuawei seem to do it?
I have purchased from Wonda before with good service. Took a while to arrive though! Thinking of the Mate 10 at moment!
I've been in touch - FH say that the Chinese version of the 6GB/128GB can be rebranded to Asia. They're saying not to rebrand to Europe as this is a single sim ROM and they don't know how the second sim slot will behave.
So where can I buy it? Somewhere preferably that can avoid import customs and tax to the UK?

According to Wonda Mobile website, they have arrangements with shipping courier to pay all VAT and import fees. The price at checkout is FINAL. No need to risk being charged a VAT up to 20%
This explains why they're about £50 more than anyone else.
Giztop now appear to have stock and cheaper than Wonda(£699) or Shenzhen(£649) at £615
https://www.giztop.com/phones/huawei-mate-10.html
But Wonda will rebrand the phone for you and have excellent ratings.

I have ordered it from Wonda and asked them to rebrand it to L29C636. I know it's more but I hear it's very difficult to rebrand so I will let them do it.
I'm quite curious as to how well this particular model would work on AT&T in the US? I'd love to grab it but $900 is very pricey if I cannot take full advantage of its connectivity.
Guy's I would recommend Wonda Mobile, I have bought a total of 22 phones from them in 12 months and never had a single issue

This is getting exciting! I'm still a little confused about versions. Is the L29C636 the Asian version? Is this version devoid of all the Chinese features, but allows two LTE sims? Whereas the "European" version only allows one sim? Are there other differences. Anyways, please keep folks posted on how it works out. Thanks!

Yes - that's the sum of it.
You may find that you can't do OTA if you're outside Asia. I have a Mate 9 Pro - L29C636 and until very recently, I had to install updates via Funky Huawei. Huawei seem a little odd in their approach to updating - your device needs to be authorized to receive it, but if you were in the wrong region for your phone, it wouldn't update without a sim from that region.
Saying all that, my Mate 9 Pro received, for the very first time, an OTA update this week.

Ok. Hopefully the OTA situation changes with Mate 10. One more question. Do voice commands for default apps work in English using Asian version? For example, I have a Chinese version of the Mate 9. The default phone app allows voice commands to answer phone but you had to say "answer" in Chinese. It could not be made so that you could say "answer" in English. Thanks!

My understanding is that Asian version ties up to Singapore, where the default language in English. I've never encountered anything remotely Chinese on my 'Asian' version. I use Google Now, but not used voice commands per se!

A few months too late, really strange move from Xiaomi : why didn't they launch it at the same time as the "Mi 9T"?? Plus, rebranding from Redmi to Xiaomi in Europe is a bit strange imho. Do they think we in Europe don't read the worldwide news? Additionally, they won't release the 8/256 version.
Btw, I wonder what will happen to the Mi 9 with a price that close...the real difference is the camera which seems better (to be honest even my Mi 8 takes better pics vs. K20 Pro).
Also I think its a little bit priced.
I'm not sure if I'll buy, long time waiting to be this difference.

You can import it from China (6/64 version) around 315 euros tax free and shipping included, and they're gonna sell it here for 430 euros? It will have a Global ROM for sure, lets see if its the same one as the India ROM (POCO launcher included) or not but still...
Btw i think if Europeans want to wait for a new phone they should wait for the Mi Mix 4. The 3rd was a bit of a flop because specs were too close to the Mi 8 which was great, lighter and cheaper but the Mix 4 specs will be spectacular according to rumors. Wait and see!

A lot of people doesn't want to import, and also the main problem is the warranty, people prefer to have a local store where they can go if the phone have an issue.
But anyway, for my part I will buy it on Aliexpress soon

Has it been confirmed that 8GB RAM/256GB storage version of 9T Pro will not be available for purchase globally?

As far as I can tell there has been no official launch of the phone, so nothing has been confirmed either way. There was the small announcement last week that it will be available in the Benelux region from the 20th, but it gave no specifics. Since then all we're seeing is the phone suddenly appearing for sale in various European websites. So far there doesn't appear to be any 8GB model being sold anywhere.
Even though the Mi 9 had 8/128 and 8/256 options in China, they were never made available on the global version, so it wouldn't be surprising if it turns out to be the same with this one.

Here: MOD Edit:- Links Removed & Thread Closed
Thank you guys.
Any shop, like Gearbest, Banggod, Geekbuying or the two german one (Tradingshenzhen and CECT) but for EU useless, because no FDD-LTE B20 (800MHz) in China version and if you flash global ROM, than you need to open bootloader and let them open (no Netflix in HD, no banking apps and so on).
If you from outside EU than look for Aliexpress, like seller goldway.
I could buy it over the counter today for 600$, but it's too heavy and not keen to wait 360. If it was 3 days like in Xiaomi Poco, that'd be acceptable.
Seen so many models with motorized camera and I love this notchless style into future. 10T model will be worth waiting for.
Disclosure: I have Mi 9 and it's 175g is just on the boundary of acceptable weight.
Hi,from where you culd buy?
I've spotted it so far on Shenzhen.

Link for CECT?
Are you saying that if you're in the EU, then these shops are OK? What about the UK?
No B20 means almost useless in EU

Yep. Also, at the prices they are currently selling the Mi 10 Pro, it's too close to Samsung and Apple for me to be tempted by Xiaomi. Despite the DXOMark's top scores, I don't think the images are consistent or better than the Apple, Google or Samsung's flagships. Pixel-peeping has its value, but even though the 27MP images can be very detailed, there are a lot of artifacts in the Mi Note 10 shots I take.
And the Mi Note 10 hasn't even received a security update in two months....
I want to buy the China model from trading Shenzhen, then flash the global ROM later, but what implications would I run into if I did that instead of waiting for the global version? I live in Canada so I don't really need band 20.
At the moment there is no global rom and you need fastboot global rom for flashing, so you need to wait a lil bit longer and don't forget you need to unlock bootloader first, which means after you get it, you still need to wait +2 weeks.

You will probably get earlier updates If you don't want that, wait for global firmware.
I live in Germany and I ordered the Mi 10 from TradingShenzen. I don't mind band 20 and my English is quite solid
Still have to wait a few more days...

Why are you asking? Could there be difficulties with banking apps? And for Google Pay, that doesn't bother me anyway

Im waiting on my seller from ebay to get them. You can use banking apps and google pay if you unlock the bootloader. There is a script online that uses magisk hide and makes the appp not be able to be updated. I can find the link and post it. It's been working on my mi note 10 for awhile.

Thanks. But why not just wait for the global version a few days (weeks?) so you don't have to deal with the security issues?
I use Google Pay everywhere, both on my phone and on my watch, so it's a must, for me at least.
Haven't decided if I should try the Mi 10 and hand down the Mi Note 10. It seems like the main camera sensor produces the same results, and I don't find the image quality of the wide and zoom to be that great comparatively. Or, may go back to Samsung for the zoom and the proper face unlock ...

I root my phone for magisk so I use this method to be able to use Google pay
I'm in the UK, and i bought a MI-10 from tradingshenzhen, which is still waiting to be shipped... I have tried to cancel the order and get a refund but according to them it's shipped.
I didn't realise as i've never had a chinese phone before, so i didn't understand about chinese / global version and how different they are. So i'm now going to be stuck with a phone that can't use the main 4G band 20 LTE on O2 in the UK, which is a big problem for me.
After realising tradingshenzhen would not help, i'm now looking at ways to make into a global version, but there seems to be risks with banking apps not working etc.
I have been using iphones for the past 10yrs, bought a note 10 a few months ago, and really liked it, and then the Mi-10 was released with a better chip, screen, ram etc. so i rushed into getting it as soon as possible without realising there's a big difference.... lesson learnt for me, i just hope i can get it to work at some point.
Any tips or adviced is very welcome.
