I decompiled framework-res.apk and edited 3 values to lower the minimum brightness from the default 10 to a very dim value of 1, you can flash this zip normally, dirty flash your ROM if you have issues (I didn't and neither did 2 other users I tested this with).
Also the default dim is set to 5 instead of 10 (for screen time out)
If you choose to flash this MOD you should know how to recover from anything thay may go wrong, I take no responsibility to any damage caused to your phone.
If you wish to have this mod for any other ROM, just comment with the corresponding framework-res.apk and I'll mod it for you when I have the time.
This is the Mod:

Tutorial, do this yourself:
0. BACKUP system or at least know how to recover.
1. Download APK Easy Tool v1.2
2. Copy over to PC and decompile framework-res.apk
3. Open decompiled folder and go to /res/values/integers.xml and open that file.
4. change these values:
<integer name="config_screenBrightnessSettingMinimum">1</integer>
<integer name="config_screenBrightnessDim">5</integer>
<integer name="config_screenBrightnessDark">5</integer>
the red numbers are the modified values (recommended values)
5. save changes and recompile the apk.
6. locate the new recompiled apk and open it as a zip to view it's contents. DO NOT PUT THIS APK IN YOUR ROM OR ON YOUR PHONE.
Instead, you now need to extract (using 7zip) the new resources.arsc from this new apk to a folder.
7. Next open the original (unmodified) framework-res.apk with 7zip. Delete the resources.arsc and drag and drop the new resources.arsc extracted from the new recompiled apk into the original apk and you are done.
You can use any of the provided zip's in attachments to flash your new framework-res.apk

Also it may not be wise to mod framework for new ROMs that are currently under heavy development. I can teach you how to decompile and recompile it appropriately if you wish, send me a pm with your answer please.

Modding framework for a ROM that is undergoing heavy development is not recommended, any update might make things not function correctly, currently I've only done this mod for final versions of ROMs. If you still wish for this, I can teach you how to do the modding.

I wanted the VoLTE Icon from RR in AOSIP ROM.
I have decompiled systemUI.apk and extracted the icon.
Anyone has any idea that what changes I need to make in Aosip's system ui.apk file to get this icon ?

If you search for "stat_sys_volte" in decompiled systemui.apk, you'll find 3 files.
res\drawable-xxhdpi-v4\stat_sys_volte.png is the icon
SystemUI.apk\res\values\public.xml
SystemUI.apk\res\layout\mobile_signal_group.xml
You'll need to modify these two xmls as per op3 mod.
Not sure if it'll work.
Unofficial lineage os rom by thestrix with my pixel ui mod v7 have this one icon.

This is my second thread at the XDA-Developers forum and I have tested the so-called Oreo Mod for 2 weeks. Now I think it is stable enough, so I post it here.
Btw I'm a student, so I'm sorry that maybe I cannot ensure weekly updates after weekly updates of LineageOS.

Instruction:
The reason why I make the mod only for Official LineageOS is that LineageOS doesn't have Theme Engine for now or ever. Actually other ROM that supports for OMS like RR, Nitrogen OS and etc need no mod at all. So plz don't ask me for it. You can get the same Oreo experience by using substratum themes.
Attention:
The mod can only run on LineageOS by thestrix, so don't flash it over other ROM.
If you flash it carelessly, just dirty flash the previous ROM again to restore your device.
When a newer LineageOS version gets available, there's no need for you to flash the undo zip to update LineageOS. Just flash the ROM directly.

The mod need no support for substratum. For LineageOS, phone.apk's default color of statusbar is the very blue, I didn't make some modifications for it.

Nope. I customized apks from LineageOS by Thestrix, so I don't think it can work with other customized LineageOS.

Thanks. It works for me on RR. Can you suggest a way, volte icon could get enabled or added to any volte supported rom? (I see your position here, so asking ) I was reluctant at first to try anyone of the 3. I saw volte icon on Slim, but it wasn't there after the rom booted up.

Ah, sorry dunno. If a Rom didnt have any volte icon added then its impossibru (afaik).
I flashed NOS with pico GApps..But I require Rounded Pixel Icons...I searched everywhere but I am unable to find it..Could Anybody happen to have a link to flashable Systemwide Rounded Pixel Icons? Thanks in Advance
Install lawnchair launcher. There would be an option for rounded icons. As for editing the framework to get round icons is not working yet in oreo.

Download this pixel launcher flashable zip. Flash it through TWRP and u will get option of rounded icons in launcher setting.

Didn't tryied that LOS 15 ROM but it's should be worked on any rom having android 6.0+ coz this is a simple flashable zip of a pixle launcher ported for android 6.0+.
And this apk is from the 3rd DP of oreo.
That time i am using this apk on Los 14.1 and NOS N rom.. Then i make its flashable zip. I checked it on AOSP, NOS & MCAOSP OREO ROM and its working fine for all.. So go for it with LOS 15 it should be fine. :good:

Form here i got this pixel launcher.

This is the modded version of pixel launcher... I just copied it to system/priv-app/Launcher3 and give it to correct permissions. After that I make its flashable zip so that after everytime updating my rom i do not need to manually push this to system apps. So created a flashable zip for it.
Now the letest version is pixel 2's launcher which i am using currently. This is the thread form where I got the pixel 2 launcher.
