Hi I have some question. I have RN4 mtk, i know how to unlock bootloader. I have some questions about unlocked phone:
[1] Ota works (global)?
[2] fingerprint on global works after unlock bootloader (i read somewhere that it doesnt work)
[3] SuperSu is works ok on global stable 8.1?
[4] What other problems create unlocked bootloader?
[5] what is best, developer rom or stable
p.s. Im not noob, i always unlock samansung bootloaders, using mtk flash tools for jiaju s3 and dev some roms, but:
xiaomi rn4 mtk dont have good alternative roms, and im thinksing about sense of unlock bootloader (i like global miui, with changed DPI with ADB adb shell wm density ..)
Thx for answers, and have a nice day

The official bootloader unlock guide here http://en.miui.com/thread-202290-1-1.html states that "If you're using Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm version or Mi 5, you can unlock on MIUI Global Stable ROM"
1- Did anybody succeed in doing so?
2- After unlocking the official way, can I still flash the latest global stable? (assuming that point 1 is not possible and I have to flash the china dev) I read warnings everywhere not to do so to avoid boot loop, is this warning valid even when unblocked through the official way?
3- If I flash the latest global, will my bootloader get locked again?
I would like to unlock my bootloader to prepare for CM13 and in the meantime I want to keep running the global stable ROM.
Many thanks

I'm on Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm.
1 - For me, it only worked with the Global Dev ROM. You can switch from Global Stable without erasing any data though. I had the usual "never works on the first try"-stuff though, so I tried a lot of things and I can't say if being on Global Stable was one of the main issues.
2 - I read similar things, but also that you can OTA update without any problems when you are officially unlocked. I think the posts warning of bootloops concern the unofficial unlock only and it will happen if you forget to delete emmc_appsboot.mbn before flashing an official ROM.
3 - Shouldn't happen. Haven't tried it yet, but what would be the point of Xiaomi locking the bootloader again, just because you changed ROM versions.
So, #2 and #3 is guess work on my site. Hope someone else can chime in and give definitive answers. As of #1, hope it helps to know that Global Dev works fine. Or was there any reason you wanted to stay on Global Stable?
Hey guys,
I just bought an Redmi Note 3 Pro SE and i wanted to know is there any way to get root, Cyanogenmod ?
I am new here so sorry if it is already asked
You are able to get CM13, however I do not know the method as I do not have the Special Edition.
FIRST you need an unlocked bootloader ant twrp installed. After that you just need to flash cm13 the traditional way and flash RN3 SE modem to get wifi and sim working. If you read a bit you can find this info on the forums and more. You are welcome.
Thanks guys,
I got my bootloader unlocked confirmation but i can't unlocked it via MiFlash Unlock.
Which ROM should i use to unlock it ?
Thanks in advance

official unlock doesnt work. for no one. 99% of the people it stays at 50%.
so u must use the un official way to unlock.
U must wait 7-8 days. After that you may be able to unlock it officially. It took about a week for me to successfully unlock it after receiving unlocking permission.
Hey friend No OEM lock on developer options in marshmallow rom so i cant flash twrp. How can root to marshmallow stock rom ? (Sorry for my english)
If you have one of unlockable variants, just go and request bootloader unlock code, unlock bootloader and flash recovery/root after that.
Root

You can search in youttube for this video, this is the one I followed.
Keep in mind that OEM unlock it's only in the old versions of the phone, right know you just have to unlock usb debugging and you are allright !
Just remember to NOT follow the OTG unlocker guide in this forum

Go into Android's Settings -> Developer options and check whether option OEM Unlock is provided or not: if not then you can't neither unlock the bootloader nor flash a Custom ROM because the latter requires an unlocked bootloader.
I am currently on 13.0.2.0 SKEINXM and i hate global rom , I want miui dialer and messages app to come pre-installed , so I found that Indonesian rom has miui dialer and messages pre installed , so how do I flash Indonesian rom on top of my global rom without unlocking bootloader ?
I found a video on YouTube that is flashing Indonesian rom on global without rooting .
Here is the link -
I don't think there is a way to flash roms without unlocking the bootloader. You need it unlocked for the adb and the fastboot commands to work.
There is a way to install through the ota update system, but I'm not sure how stable or safe it really is.
Why do you not want to unlock the bootloader? You don't need to have a rooted phone for flashing roms, rooting and unlocking the bootloader are 2 seperate things.
For warranty reasons if you really want to have a locked bootloader, you can unlock it and then flash and then lock it back again.
