Wifi & Bluetooth Not Working - LG K7 Questions & Answers

I have the tmobile version after flashing the security patch rom my wifi has stopped working as well as bluetooth searched for related problems and came up short.... possibly looking for a backup of persist/prima folders any help would be appreciated

Can anyone send me a copy of etc/firmware/wlan/prima

I'm having the same problem.
I have two nearly-identical LG K7 on T-Mobile and one is connecting to Wifi and bluetooth while the other is not.
I coped the etc/firmware/wlan/prima folder from one to the other but that did nothing. I'm curious as to whether you've got a resolution or not.

For anyone interested, I got a reply via PM. Use LG up and the version j .kdz. This will complete factory reset, including recovery partition, so... you know... back up.

[Q] 4.3 disrupted wifi, now can't fix

Hi all,
I've been happily following the progression of ROM developments, since I got my P7510 (P4WIFI) and sampling a variety of ROM's up through the versions of Android. I recently upgraded to a 4.3 ROM and developed a problem...I could connect to wifi as always, but could not get internet access (wifi connected, but no browsing, play store, weather apps, etc.).
I worked my way back through a number of recovery backups, knowing that in all of them I didn't have this problem, but it remained.
In desperation, I unrooted and returned to stock and the problem was still there! I found a .pit file for the 7510, re-partitioned, formatted the partitions and reloaded the stock ROM...still no change.
Can anyone point me to a solution? I've googled myself stoopid on this one...
Cheers,
PF.

Try to toggle airplane mode on then off..not sure if it will work on our tabs...but it works on my epic 4g touch..this is just a work around though.
What stock did you return to...
I'll look around and see what I can find...
My first thought was it's a router issue. I've had the same thing happen to me and in the end all that was needed was a router reboot.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried the airplane mode on/off, but it didn't help.
The stock version I'm on is Build number IMM76D.XWMPF (P7510XWMPF_P7510XSAMP1_HOME.tar.md5)... I believe the correct one for my country...? Not sure if that's a red herring, though. The problem occurred going from 4.2 to 4.3 and has stuck with every restore and rebuild I've tried since.

Thanks B-man.
Tried the router reboot, no dice. Also tried connecting to different WAPs and the problem remains. I tried connecting to my SGS4 as a portable hotspot, which was working fine previously...identical problem...

Wifi not connecting on Asus Memo pad 10.1

My tablet will not connect to ANY WiFi network anymore. Everything was working perfectly, but had to send the tablet to Asus for RMA because it would not charge anymore. But now, when i connect to my wifi network it just says its saved and does not connect" I figured maybe it was an issue with my network, so I went out and tested it with other WiFi connections. It can scan and detect everything, but the same thing happens while trying to connect to anything. My Sony phone and laptop are able to connect to everything perfectly, but the tablet will not, even to the networks which it has previously connected to.
Things I have tried:
Deleted all networks by using the "Forget network" option and tried connecting again.
Tried "open" type networks without any passwords.
Rebooted the tablet several times.
Done a factory reset, twice.
Tried to analyse logcat data.
Anyone else know a fixs for this problem? Or do i have to rma it again..

Same issue - any resolution?
I purchased two refurbished ASUS MeMO Pad Smart 10.1" tablets from Groupon - $109 each - in late Sept 2014. Figured it was a good deal so I jumped on it: I would have one for myself and one for a gift (for my father). Mine has worked without any issues, but I finally gave my father his tablet today (Mar 1, 2015 - yes, six months later) ... and I cannot get his tablet to connect via wi-fi. I've tried all the same steps - from the initial setup to trying other wi-fi locations to doing a factory reset. Nothing is working.
How can I fix this???? Please help!!
I just had the same problem reinstalling the stock rom.
It was a permissions problem caused by the su executable blocking che permission change, I solved installing a selfmade custom zip via recovery, ispired by this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/rom-asus-memo-pad-8-me180a-ww-3-1-0-42-t3027620
This is the url of the zip, if you know how to use it... https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/18969675/me180a_permissions_fix.zip

My system worked for my MemoPad, but I have no idea if it's compatible with your model...
It's a simple script who changes the permissions, it doesn't install anything, so I don't think it could do any damage...
The problem with original rom was about "set_metadata_recursive" function not existing, so I had to list all files from the directories and call "set_metadata" on each one.

Hello, I hope it's not against rules to bump old threads, but I need the file from above post, it would be great if anyone have it and is willing to reupload it.

[Q] Help restoring to working 2.3.4 please, not in the US and my data/wifi don't work

I have MOF2.3.5ish installed on my Photon and the Wi-Fi doesn't work, it just says Wi-Fi: Error. I gather that this is a problem because I didn't activate it on Sprint.
I'm not in the US, so I can't activate it on a native Sprint network. What can I do in this case, what ROM will help me? It is unlocked and rooted naturally.
In the Data Roaming screen, all the boxes are checked and grayed out, so I can't even switch on my mobile data. How do I get a working phone? I recently lost my main phone so I need this working urgently. Your help is important!
Ok, I realized that I made a backup of my working installation before I upgraded to ICS originally, but I can't restore it since it was a different recovery.
Can anyone help me get the brand/version of recovery that are the most common? Right now I have CWM Red and it saves the backups in clockworkmod/backups whereas the old recovery saved it in nandroid/MB133S09455 or something. Any tips would be appreciated!

[Q] WiFi will not list connections, wifi just scans with no results.

Hello xda!
Long story short I updated my phone and all went well. About a day or two later, my phone randomly disconnected from wifi, and will now no longer show any wifi connections after scanning. I have tried wiping and reinstalling from the recovery. I can't download the exact version of this ROM I was on because the version doesn't exist for download anymore. I, however, could not see how the ROM could be the problem, since wifi was just functioning after the first install. Is there an area I am missing that is not getting reset? It COULD be efc's, but I have my IMEI number listed.
I have the LG Optimous L9 P769 and this is the ROM. As you can tell, our forum isn't exactly a very busy or active forum.
P.S. I was on a v2.x and went to v3.4
Anything that could help, please feel free to comment or ask anything needed!

Seems like it might be kernel related, perhaps... Which variant (carrier) P769 do you have?

Wifi MAC Address changes on every reboot - H90120j

Hi guys,
I have Tmobile LG V10 H90120j which its Wifi MAC address changes on every reboot.
Long story:
It was originally Lollipop, I updated to stock MM v20e then v20j. It was still OK after that.
Then I tried to root it using tungkick's method. However, the bad luck began, I forgot to change the Process to Upgrade instead of Refurbish when upgrading the TOT file. The phone bootloop to TWRP after that. Big thanks to @tungkick, he helped recover it.
I realized that from then the Wifi MAC address keeps changing on every reboot. The phone also cannot automatically get APNs from provider (I have to manually add them).
The really bad problem is the MAC issue. Only registered devices can connect to my home and my company Wifi networks. I can temporarily workaround by manually changing MAC address on rooted ROM after every reboot, but it's not an actual fix.
Factory Reset or Restoring to stock v20j can't help.
I did some search and found that some others also had the issue. Some said this method also can fix it: youtube . com /watch?v=8ejnFB5i5o8
But I can't see any nvram folder in my device.
Anyone has any ideas about fixing this, please help
Thanks.
anyone?
I have this with the T-mobile LG G5 H830 that is rooted on 20j (Nougat) with the dm-verity patch applied as well. I have 7 days left to return the phone). I also cannot find the nvram file/folder on my device (I am searching my LG G Pad 8.0 X to see where it is at via Root Explorer).
You mentioned you went back to stock (in TWRP, did you format the system and data directories and wipe the caches before; I ask because if you did not, I was going to do that, then re-stock).
My only other guess is the bootloader unlock would cause it (but then my LG G Pad 8.0 X is bootloader unlocked and doesn't do this). There was a CM7MAC.zip file (which I know is supposed to be for CM rom but I wonder if that fix would work for us).

Been months, I cannot recovery my memory well. But I might not format the system and wipe the caches in TWRP before going back to stock. Still having the issue, and applying workaround after every reboot .
Bootloader unlock is unlikely the cause, cuz I rooted another H90120j (my cousin's) after that. I followed strictly the guide and made no mistake. The phone's still working well now.
Well I think you can give it a try. Looking forward to your good news
My 13th day is Saturday so I am going to get T-mobile to exchange it for a new one (since about 1/2 the posts on this topic says it's a hardware problem with certain chipset mac addresses and I hope that batch of phones that WA gets is different than the batch that HI gets) and reboot that several times before I leave.
I only found out I had this problem since Shaw Cable use MAC address for the 10 devices include in the Shaw Go wifi (wifi public hot spots) and when I put the original address in while still in HI, then got back to Calgary (after a couple of reboots had occurred during my trip) noticing Shaw would not auto-connect like it does on the other devices which are all rooted and sim unlocked (LG G Pad 8.0 X, Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Moto X Play).
If not for Shaw, I would have been none the wiser until I got an employer that only used MAC address and by then, I'd be stuck with the phone.
I notice that this problem allegedly was based on a chipset and/or the Android software itself (there doesn't seem to be a consenus one direction or the other) when I googled this (and subsequently found your post on XDA). I have had several generations of Samsung Galaxy S and Note Series as well as Moto Triump (Sprint), the LG G Pad X, and Moto X Play and have never seen this phenomenon.
Since you say your cousins device is working well and you did the same thing with it as with yours, I suspect it's a hardware fault in our devices. I already returned a V20 to Freedom/WIND since that bootloader is locked and no root possible (will try to get T-mobile to give me the V20 instead of the G5 since I have to go through all this drama; the Freedom V20 was rebooted more than 7 times on purpose and no mac address change occurred).
