Master_T has modified the standard YouTube with the modification from the Xposed module and packaged it into a working APK. He then integrated Arter97's ad-free modification to the app. Better yet, another user has created a Magisk module for the modified app so you won't have to mess with your system partition.
The YouTube adaway and background-playback Xposed modules were the only reason I even considered rolling back to Marshmallow. Now, there's nothing compelling me to return. I have installed the app on OOS 4.0.3 Nougat and background playback is working flawlessly without ads.
You do need to be rooted to install the app. You will also have to uninstall the stock YouTube app to use it, even with the use of the Magisk module. I tried flashing the Magisk module without deleting the stock app, and reverting the stock app back to factory condition, but it kept overriding the Magisk-mounted modified app.
Check out the original thread for more details.
Also, if you want to disable the modded YouTube app's market link to prevent accidental auto-updates, check out hinxnz's script, which also happens to be Magisk compatible. It's a simple script that runs 60 seconds after boot and removes market links from certain apps every time you boot. While it was developed to mask substratum theme-ready apps, they work for original and modded versions of the apps as well.
Note, 360 degree videos will cause the app to crash unless you extract the lib folder from the app and place it into /system/app/YouTube/lib and granting the folders 755 and files 644 (permissions). I've remade the Magisk version such that it includes the lib folders in the correct location with the correct permissions, link is posted below. This Magisk module contains only the ad-blocked and background playback-enabled version of the modified YouTube app for ARM64 devices (such as the OP3/T) and will not work for ARM(32) or Intel devices. You can flash this in Magisk or TWRP. Don't forget to delete your stock YouTube app first. I have tested this Magisk module on my OP3T running OOS 4.0.3. This should work on any other ROM that Magisk works on. Magisk is required for this module, you can download the original (non-Magisk) modified APKs from Master_T's thread. Please also visit his thread to thank him~
Edit: You do not have to completely delete your YouTube folder using a root-enabled app or through TWRP. The Magisk module now works if you remove the updates to YouTube from /data/app.
Simply go into Settings > App > YouTube and delete updates (restore to factory settings).
You can achieve this by disabling the app in settings, then re-enabling it.
The link has been updated.

Magisk module did not work. I also didn't uninstalled the stock youtube.
Background playing is working on Magisk Module: OOS OB3. Adblock doesn't seem to work. Adblock wasn't integrated in the magisk module. Pushing Apk manually to system works as a charm.
If you want to use the ad-blocked version with magisk, you can simply open the zip for the magisk module and replace the modded YouTube app inside with the version you want. The original magisk module on the post contains the non-ad-blocked, bg-enabled app by default.
Correct Lucky Patcher is considered warez and is not to be discussed on XDA.
Thread cleaned.
Thanks,
Sloth

Magisk version is working on my OP3T with OOS 4.0.3. You still have to delete the stock YouTube app from system if you use Magisk though.

I had used ES File Explorer's system app removal tool to remove the old YouTube app, though you could probably use any root explorer to manually delete the YouTube folder from /system/apps

I used the apk, no ads and background playback.
- Restore Youtube to the stock system app (Uninstall updates)
- Delete the stock Youtube app from systems/app/Youtube
- Copy the modded Youtube apk in the same folder and set the permissions

It didn't allow me to replace, but I'll try and use it to delete.
It was pointed out that 360 degree video causes the app to crash due to a missing lib folder. I've made a Magisk module for the ad-blocked version of the app with the correct lib placement and uploaded it, link's in the first post as well as Master_T's original thread. It is now fully functional, as far as I can tell anyways.

I can't install/update anything with 3.3.11. Even pushing an installation from Market @ PCs browser FCs the Market app
The automatic updates don't work either, but hasn't for quite a while for me now so I do not put it on this.
EDIT: Prev version doesn't work either now. I already tried fixing permissions, clearing cache/data and switching language to English UK...

I think I have the same problem
Ok so I tried updating from 3.2 and since I couldn't I deleted it with TB and then installed the new version. So now I can't install or update apps and if I try market fc's and the app cannot be found anymore. Market isn't a system app for me anymore so maybe that's the problem?
Now I tried moving the market apk to system with root explorer so let's see if that helps.
Edit: it did help you should try that too!

THANKS (pressed). What I did:
- uninstalled Market with TB
- flashed gapps 28.08 (gave me working Market 3.1.5)
- restored 3.3.11 from TB backup (same problem with FCs)
- converted it to system app with TB (here is your hint working!)
- tested positively.
EDIT: I have only now noticed being far away from known grounds - this being HTC area of XDA

That didn't work, that's why I posted the question.
With only Greenfy and Bootmanager modules installed, I rebooted a dozen times but it didn't get SU permissions.
The problem was solved later on when I installed the "true silent mode" module (it doesn't work in case you want to know), wich I guess needed the permission.
Anyway, problem solved, now it has SU permissions. Thank for the help anyway.

Hi there..
Its because of improper rooting.
I Suggest you to re-start the rooting process from the guide above.
After OEM Unlock and recovery flashing.. DO NOT REBOOT
Then Reboot to recovery and then Don't forget to slide (RECOVERY IMAGE STABILIZING)
Then after rebooting to system..
Reset your Phone (Prefer to take a NANDROID after this)
Then Flash SU and check with Rootaccess Checker
If everything Goes well
Then Flash the Xposed Framework given above an then Install and REBOOT before opening.
Then when you open the Xposed application, then SU should popup for permission..
Hope this helps...

No, I just got it, and I'm trying to figure out Oxygen OS lack of funcions compared with Cyanogen wich is what sold me on the OPO.
Maybe in the next few days I will.
Just my 2 cents:
Download xposed-uninstaller-20150831-arm64.zip and keep it on your internal sd card!
In case of a bootloop caused of a trouble making Xposed mod you just flash the uninstaller to get rid of the bootloop.
Then uninstall or deactivate the mod in Xposed Installer app and reinstall Xposed again.
So when i checked the official thread for xposed it showed a newer file version than what is mentioned here. However in that v74 there are 2 versions again
xposed-v74-sdk21-arm64.zip -
xposed-v74-sdk22-arm64.zip -
not sure which one to use with my Oxygen OS 2.1
Anyone has any information on the above.
Edit : Never mind mound it.

Thanks !
problem Solved
Copy the files-.apk to their folder using your filemanager app
and /system/priv-app/CameraCommon/CameraCommon.apk
You must have system-partition with read/write/delete access.
Dont forget do change file privilege chmod with the Root explorer touch-interface to permission-mode "644"

Okay, so you have two files, the .apk file for the Xposed Installer app and the .zip, which you need to flash for it to work.
It is now super easy to flash it using TWRP, which is a custom recovery now available for C4/5 thanks to @bigrammy (I'm very thankful for the hard work and detailed instructions!):
forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-c5-ultra/development/bootloader-unlocked-custom-recovery-t3285521
Read everything carefully. I was able to get TWRP and SuperSU then easily flashed the Xposed Framework .zip via TWRP.
According to the second post in the thread I linked to above, it's confirmed to be working on Firmware Version 5.0.2 and 5.1.1 for the C5 Single, Dual, and World Wide for all Variants with Boot Loader 0.5, so the method may work for your phone.

I'm sorry if this is an OT post, but I can't seem to find a dedicated place for the C4, and the C4 and C5 seem so close in terms of specs (other than the screen size, for example) that they're often used interchangeably in this forum, so I wanted to post about my own experience with the Xperia C4 (E5303). I want to confirm that I was also able to get the Xposed Framework working, gave it root privileges via SuperSU, and even installed a module. It seems to be working fine so far.
However, I also ran into the problem of the camera and album FC. Since none of the files linked to here are for my device and I'm afraid that using them might have an adverse affect because they're only compatible with the C5 Ultra, I'm going to try the Deodexer and report back here to let you know what happens.

Could you please provide more details about this error? What were you doing?
I think I got a similar error when using LBD2.5, but I know why. I tried to deodex my system folder, and it failed to deodex the CameraCommon app because I didn't delete the "arm" folder in CameraCommon. I delete it then received the error you mentioned above probably because everything but CameraCommon had already been deodexed. What I did to resolve it was copying the respective files from my device to my pc once more then trying again, and it was successful, so it's worth a try.
Okay, I can't seem to figure this out... I was able to download LBD2.5, and it worked fine when deodexing CameraCommon.apk with no errors after I followed all the instructions in the first post (only leaving arm64 in the CameraCommon directory), but after a reboot it still didn't work. My album seems to be working fine now, though, and I'm not sure why that is.
I tried leaving just arm in the directory and then tried neither arm64 nor arm, but they both failed to even doedex completely. Nothing seems to be working for me. I'm able to do everything in the first post, but the camera never works.
I even downloaded the file attached, although it's not for my Xperia C4 (E5303), and that didn't work either. I'm going to try a free camera app for the time being until I can figure this out. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

I'm happy for you! :good: However, mine still isn't working, even when I just tried again by downloading an already deodexed apk and giving it the right permissions.

I had the same problem with my C5 Ultra Dual E5563. I've tried both downloaded deodexed file on xda and deodexed the file myself but none of them work, of course I've set chmod 644 for the file.
I did it like that: gave root permission to es file manager, deleted cameracommon.apk under system priv app. then reboot and again placed the deodexed apk to priv app and changed name to cameracommon. then gave the permissions 0644 and again did a reboot then it got fixed. hopefully it helps you

I just ported it for users who wants to use this script
Looks like no one tried this so I am the lab mouse. I have a G920F and was waiting for a stock-like modified Nougat ROM. After a week or two, I went another route -- flashed a stock ROM and used this script.
Since Nougat for Galaxy S6 is not yet out in my country, I used XEF firmware from France. After flashing and without deleting cache/data, it just upgraded my existing Marshmallow ROM and worked just fine.
Then I went to TWRP, did a factory reset and flashed this debloat script. I can say that after initial setup and a day of usage, everything seems to work.
Thx for the script, works good. But after magisk update, it says "no root" in the magisk app. Any ideas?

The new update from Magisk-SU in the Magisk-Manager app works great.
My device is now on N7 with Magisk 12
---------- Post added at 07:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:46 AM ----------
So after some problems, here is my short test of the script:
My device: G925F
My steps.
1. ODIN flash with the new german N7 version from vodafone
2. ODIN flash from the newest version of TWRP (3.1.0.0)
3. Wiped all partitions on the phone (including "internal sdcard")
4. Changed internal SDCARD from S2FS to EXT4
5. Mounted the device via cable to pc an transmit this script.
6. Flashed the script (no errors on the display)
7. Restard and booted the first time in my new Android 7
Magisk V.12 is ready to update via OTA
Here some problems I have found:

Have you found the problems with "remove knox"?
I see "Knox-Version 2.7.1" in my Softwareinfo.
So I think KNOX is installed.

I've flashed V1.1, but i have issue with samsung account, it keeps giving me session expired, and i can't login to samsung account.
EDIT :
It appears that flashing the TWRP 3.1.0 through ODIN breaks samsung account, any suggestion to fix it ?
EDIT 2 [FIX] :
I've managed to get it fixed by wiping the data for "Samsung Account" app using Titanium Backup
Does this rom work with S6 G9200 (dual Sim)?
please advise. Thanks

Just use Titanium Backup to wipe the data for Samsung Account.
Go to "Backup/Restore", open "Samsung account", click on "Wipe Data"
Then re-login and everything should work fine.
it worked for me.
Do you guys have any fixes to this issue? I've hidden magisk and hidden pubg new state within magisk but nothing works.
It's easy for any app to detect whether Android is got rooted or Magisk got installed or device's bootloader got unlocked.

Unfortunately none of those worked for me. But you can delete or rename libbugsnag-root-detection.so
from its data/app/libs dir then the game starts for me.
Im Also using magisk and have an unlocked bootloader.
Update : it doesn't work the second time

MagiskHide was removed in Magisk 23014. You can't hide your apps anymore.
You will have to downgrade your Magisk or find another alternative.

Yeah Im going to try those now. I thought It was because it could tell we had our bootloader's unlocked

libbugsnag-root-detection.so dissassembled
they seem to be looking for these to confirm your device either has root or enabled adb start adbd confirms this
so, if an app is actively using root at the start of the game, or adbd is started, the game won't start (notice I left adbd running after exit root):

I have orange fox recovery and I uninstalled magisk and then installed new state.I then installed magisk through orange fox as zip and installed needed modules and enabled magisk hide and now i have root and pubg new state also runs.I thinks It was by pure chance but I did all this today. It is running right now and I still have root. This only worked this time as the last time I tried with Twrp and it did not work then.Maybe I am lucky.I have a poco x3 pro a12 8/256 with base rom.Maybe you can also try my process and you might get lucky.
SORRY FOR GRAMMAR AND THIS IS ALSO MY FIRST POST SO I HOPE IT HELPED IN ANY WAY.

Basically, just do all the previous steps, with shamiko module installed on magisk.
