it's not Nougat firmware for EU(including UK) market yet.
exist firmware's from Latin America and Mid.East - but they don't have a vodafone splash screen and may be have some other functionality (like recording during call, Voice over LTE, etc)

Hi
I'm looking at picking up a sgs2 phone from the three (3) store on a payg deal. I wanted to quickly check, I should be able to sim unlock this no problems right?
Also are there issues with debranding three versions?
Thanks

Think so
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064978
mine came unlocked. what i'm more interested in is if we can have the original three firmware from someone, so that we can slap unbranded one onto the phone and then revert back if we need to (like bringing it back to three in case of a fault or something like that).
If you can sim unlock the SGSII which others have managed via that thread, then why wouldnt you buy the o2 payg for 399 rather than the 3 version for 499.
(At least those were the prices 2wks ago)
My bad, Ive seen theyve taken it off PAYG

Thanks All - I ended up getting one from Phones4U.
Turns out they have completely unlocked stock samsung devices without any bloatware. I thought this better than de-branding & unlocking etc.
Cost was the same, £499 but as it was stock I avoided the costs of unlocking etc.
ohmz55: Would like to have done this, but O2 stopped the deal.
Thanks

If you post the product code and the firmware details (pda, csc, modem) I can try to get it.

O2 no longer offer it online, I was able to get one for £399 from O2 store just yesterday however. The guy in the shop did say he wasn't allowed to sell it on pay as you go but that he was just going to ignore that!
I recently bought this amazing phone on ebay(H901), and I'm trying to sim unlock it, the phone is not blacklisted, or financed, but It cannot be unlocked since its not in T-mobile database(even when it is branded tmobile phone with all the tmobile bloated apps), since T-mobile or LG cannot unlock it I was looking for a Root-unlocking solution for this since I dont want to start the process of returning the phone at this time of the year and I already paid for my country customs fees to get the phone here.
Is there any way to sim unlock the LG h901 using root mods? may rooting and deleting t-mobile unlock device app do the job?
Thanks, I will appreciate your answers
Do you have some Solution??

No I haven't find a solution to it, I'm currently living in Japan, and I'm using this piece of art as a media player only because I can't get it unlocked online nor a tmobile sim card to use it.
Can't find any answers by searching the threads (apologies if I've missed something obvious!)
I'm thinking of buying an EE UK LG G5. I'm already with EE but I hate slow updates, and in my experience EE firmware tends to get updates really slowly in the U.K.
I have flashed Samsungs in the past and it's a very easy process - no need to unlock bootloaders or anything, just flash in ODIN and there's your stock UK Samsung.
Is it as straightforward with a G5? I don't want to do any modding, rooting or anything like that - I just want to effectively turn the device into a SIM free model with no carrier apps or customisations whilst retaining warranty and the ability to do OTA updates in future. Can I simply flash generic UK firmware onto the G5 to replace EE's? I don't even care about SIM unlocking since I'm already with EE.
I don't mind if it's not possible by the way, I just won't buy it if so, just thought I'd put the question to this community as if anyone has the answer you do!
Thanks again.

Just get it through Carphone Warehouse and it'll come without Carrier rubbish. I bought mine from O2 directly and there's no Carrier apps or what i'd call bloat at all. LG tend to update much much quicker than Samsung anyway, but stock ROM's can be flashed.

I'm on Virgin UK and flashed Orange's firmware which worked fine without issue (I did this as I had a sort of temp brick of sorts.)
Might be worth having a look at this thread if you haven't already http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g5/how-to/lg-g5-to-stock-t3369959

At the time yes, but It wouldn't make much difference as It works regardless of bootloader status
Hello, I buy a lg V10 H901 on ebay I use it for several months without any worries I live in France so I used the temporary unlocking of the application "device unlock" but since yesterday impossible to use it the temporary unlocking no longer works and thus the phone and block I am therefore not t-mobile client is there a software way to unlock it?
??
No solution for unlocking ?
No there is no known method other than using the app. You may be able to purchase an unlock and seller would submit your imei for processing on Tmobile server I would assume.
Hello still no way to unlock the lg v10 t-mobile

Yeah I mean usually those services are pretty cheap like 30 or lower to remote unlock the phone. Worth a shot just look for reviews of those sites first too.
Just got my V30 Moroccan Blue from 1&1 (only available with a two year contract).
The screen is fine, no banding or clouding. I can see some slight light bleed around the edges and the already mentioned color changes when viewing the phone at an angle. Besides that, I can't find anything wrong with it.
Do you guys have any questions or want me to try something with this phone?
Post some live pictures of it. Interested in the blue color.
Same here in UK,preordered the silver colour but thinking to go for the Morrocan Blue. Some pics and thoughts would be nice....
Sent from my LG-H870 using Tapatalk
The phone feels very nice, no real issues so far (see first post). The blue color is beautiful to look at and the glass back has a premium feeling to it.
For my personal taste, the phone feels a bit too smooth, I'm afraid to have it slip out of my hands. But that can be solved by using a case.
When it comes to software, there's not much to say. Everything works as expected. There's some LG bloatware installed, but besides that nothing. I can confirm, that the phone supports the european Gallileo satellites.
The bootloader is of course locked.
Hi mate!
Could you please make a dump of your /system folder? Try with some file explorer first (easy way)
Thank you!

Hello!
Couple of questions:
1) Are there B&O headphones in the box?
2) Is it single SIM or dual SIM?
Thanks!
Jealous that you got the international version single SIM at the earliest, which is bootloader unlocked! I hope here in UAE , LG should sell this variant instead of dual SIM in most LG flagships, if not , I'll order LG H930 from online like eBay, Amazon etc ! I know in the future, you or LG H930 users will enjoy rooting the best phone in the world, or install custom kernel for some modding fun! LG V20 got some cool modding stuff in the XDA like custom fast charging without further heating up the phone , some very cool custom kernel stuff etc! Now the Samsung's flagships like the Galaxy Note 8, S8 etc their unlocked variants in XDA has cool mods like QHD (2K) @60fps , Open Camera which performs much better than stock camera! I really am eager in the future the unlocked LG V30 should have lots of unleashed capabilities!

It's not SIM locked to a carrier. 1&1 is an ISP and a third party seller for phone contracts. The phones themselves are unlocked and can be used with on any network.

OK, thank you. The two year contact confused me, because that's what U.S.carriers have...
So, will your phone be eligible for official bootloader unlock?

According the the HiddenMenu, the following bands are supported:
1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 20, 28, 38
The following bands are NOT supported:
2, 13, 25, 29, 40
By the way, the correct code for the HiddenMenu is *#546368#*930#
Hi you mentioned some LG bloat could you please make a list of the apps which came installed on your unlocked version? Thanks a million!
Thank you for bands lists. Can you clarify which provider sim you are using with it?

You need to register for a LG developer account in order to unlock the bootloader. There's a list of offically supported devices. When the LG V30 is put on that list, you can request an unlock code from LG. With the bootloader unlocked, you can flash a custom recovery, roms, etc. The downside to all this is, that you loose your LG warranty when you unlock you phone.
So, currently, there's no way to unlock the bootloader. We'll have to wait for news from LG. When the first developers unlock their bootloaders, root and custom roms will follow soon after.
