Hi. I'd want to install CM on my new Redmi 3 Pro. But all the ROMs I find are for the Redmi 3! Will they work fine on my Redmi 3 Pro? And will they support stuff like the fingerprint sensor?
Can anyone recommend such a ROM?
yes all the ROMs are useable for the redmi 3 pro, the CM builds don't have fingerprint sensor functionality as far as i know. the spacex and european roms do.
But those are miui ROMs, right? I would really prefer plain aosp/cm.
Is there any way to enable the fingerprint sensor on those ROMs? Like an xposed module or something?
Hi everyone,
plane and simple:
Is there a way to use the Redmi 3 without Miui? Its not a bad OS, its just to bloated.
I would much prevere the stock andorid, ir something very lightweight.
I already checked out with Cyanogen Mod, but they said, they are NOT supporting the Redmi 3.
So can I run a stock Android on the Redmi 3 without having issues? Or can you advise some other roms?
TY.

there are cm 12.1 and even cm 13 roms for redmi 3 why dont you search it on redmi 3 thread.
Apparently CM13 development just resumed yesterday and it seems to be pretty good for now.
I don't mind miui, it's an attractive rom, especialy 8. But I do mind all the Chinese clatter that come with it. If there is a debloated version for 3S I'd give it a go
Just install the global ROM if that's your problem. CyanogenMod is decent but needs some work to be a daily driver. That and the many bugs that still exist for it.

The "stock kernel"-labelled CM12.1 on XDA works great as my daily driver
Does any AOSP Marshmallow rom supports VoLTE ?
I'm to interested in knowing thks, Just got the phone and want to use cm/aosp but Volte should work on it
Sent from my Redmi Note 3 using Tapatalk
I think it doesn't work on any non 5.1MIUI ROM, even the 6.0 miui doesn't have VoLTE. But I read somewhere that flashing the modem of 5.1 miui on aosp roms brings back volte. can anyone confirm?

No VoLTE for now. Xiaomi must release proper sources for marshmallow, which is not gonna happen soon, because even they have trouble figuring out a way to make it work in Marshmallow version of MIUI
Hello,
Regarding the recent KRACK Attack hack, will the rom Resurrection Remix-5.8.5 For Redmi 4X(santoni) be fixed? I'm actually using it and it's a fantastic ROM, very very much better than the original MIUI !.
Keep up the good work guys!
Regards.
Hi everyone. Am new to redmi note 9s. But was previously using a redmi note 5 pro. I used revolution is ROM as it didn't have root enabled and my banking apps worked without issues. Can anyone confirm if any ROMs have root disabled or can be disabled for the note 9s as I don't think revolution has a rom or is still developing them...
The majority of ROMs don't have root enabled.
thats good, i didnt realise, so banking apps should mostly work on majority of roms?
Yes.
