Instructions:
1. Enter recovery (TWRP)
2. Factory resetting the device (Additional wipes maybe needed as well - Clean installation)
3. Flashing the ZIP file: ZTE_A2017V1.1.0B10_Nougat_Full_by_djkuz.zip
4. Flashing the ZIP file: no-verity-opt-encrypt-5.1.zip ( 1,04 mb )
5. Wipe cache/dalvik
6. Load the system and see if its working alright
7. Install all the apk's for google services (contributed by Snowy88).
Flashing SuperSU:
1. Go back to the recovery
2.Flash SuperSU 2.79 ( 5,65 mb)
3. Wipe cache/dalvik
4. In the terminal of TWRP please input the following command : reboot disemmcwp
Special warnings : in later posts i have noticed people are saying that they are not able to enter EDL mode, instead it goes into DFU mode, making a brick possible if not following the rules correctly. I haven't tried this myself but many people have and using this Nougat, currently I am on b13 that was made by djkuz and I know he can be trusted.

I am from Germany too, but I have no signal with any of my sim cards.
I can't change the network mode etc.
Did I miss something on my G Version?
I was before on LineagOS 14.1.

It only works with this!SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815.zip and the step by step, exactly as it written otherwise it will not work.

This firmware for the Chinese version of the phone (including the Chinese BootStack) so your sim cards do not work.
If you want I can give a link to Nougat for A2017G V1.1.0B01
Also there is a new version for Chinese version of the phone V.1.1.0B11
Both firmwares are not tested, if you have a desire to check, I'll post links

Hi djkuz as you're here, couple of questions.
i'm using 2017U and tried flashing you're V1.1.0 B10 Chinese firmware and it stuck up with 3 led blinks on any combination.
But able to boot through by flashing the AX7 Kernel..
so my issues may or may not related as i'm using the Custom Kernel for B15. want to check if below options working for you
1. NFC is greyed out. can't select the option.
2. WiFi calling option not working after a reboot.. have to turn off Airplane mode to activate back.
3. flashing the Viper4Arise or any modes, going in a bootloop
Also if you have full Chinese V.1.1.0B11 version please share it with us.

Could you tell how can I root it? I tried the Nougat update for 2017G before and wasn't able to root it with magisk or with supersu.

Sadly your update has overwritten my twrp recovery, now it just starting and I'm not able to get into fastboot. Any advice?

You can just make sure it's the same variant.
ofcourse it is J500FN but im afraid that like service wont work, idk if the device is locked only to my carrier but if it wont brick the device i will definitely try it

im from czech but i flashed poland firmware without branding works perfect now i waiting for root and twrp for marshmallow on FN

i tried italian version aswell, and it worked just fine out of the box (well i had to delete 1 file in the firmware to get it to install) but it works fine! but now imma jump back to 5.1.1 and update it from the phone itself cuz other people from bulgaria told me that there is an update for bulgaria, it just isnt in sammobile
i tested marshmallow and i think lolipop is better smooth speed and ram managment is for me lolipop is better
Downloading it now we have been waiting for months now, I had to uninstall many apps to download it though
Download and install Poland firmware, everything works well !

Yes. That's how I did when I tried Marshmallow. Other people did same as well.
You root the same way on Lollipop.

I do not believe that the APN is the problem i used the same setting on the CyanogenMod 13 rom and there it did work :/
1. Get root and TWRP (LGOneClickRootRecovery) ---> https://www.dropbox.com/s/2shvozzbu29xjfu/LGG2-D802-OneClickRootRecoveryV1.1.zip?dl=0

stock recovery mean doesn't flash Twrp or CWM anyway you can download KDZ (rom LP ) and flash it by LG up or LG flash tool

Hello ! You have to flash D802 version and D806 modem because if you dont do that you will have loss of total signal when its 4G and you have to reboot (my experience)... And LineageOS have random reboots with F2FS... Thats all i think :laugh:
Well, for some unknown reason OneClickRecovery didn't do it's job properly and when I rebooted to go into recovery it actually did a factory reset and I lost all my valuable data. Worked second time but I'm so fcked now.

The previous owner of the phone told me that it was rooted, but the application "root checker" says the contrary.
In order to be sure, do I need to do a reset, or can I just simply start this procedure ?
Also, does the TWRP update is mandatory, because the last version of TWRP recovery on their website is 2.8.7.0, it is not sufficient ?

as i have flashed LOS i didnt care about bootloader but it worked. RR should also work but i didnt try it

got my new x829 a few week ago, and I'm wondering if I should do an update, but since people talk about indian stock , chinese, etc...
The first think I would need to know is what ROM I currently have !?!?
In "About phone" it just says : EUI version 5.8.016S .
But is this chinese? Indian?
I'm quiet pleased with the current ROM, just maybe the camera soft is not as good as I expect, hope to improve it by updating.
What would be the natural succession of the ROM I have?

Can one update to chines or indian ROM with normal update procedure (copy zip to internal storage, then update) ? Some threads appear to talk about the need to use TWRP, which is confusing.

You can if you have the updater app installed and can see it in settings. Mine did not have it so had to install twrp as it failed to install in recovery on rom it came with.

I can not judge from here but if you're still full stock (recovery, kernel, rom) you are supposed to update.
I went back to B08 and logcatted the update and pulled out the ZTE link

You always can try to update through recovery or adb sideload it.
Btw, did you manage to update before ?

I already tried to update from recovery.
I updated from B05 (or B06) to B08 before. Not sure I had my bootloader unlocked then.
"update.up" doesn't solve my issue from settings>updates. Will try later from recovery.

Download Moto X4 Retail Android Pie Firmware:
RETAIL
RETBR
Install Motorola Driver and ADB Fastboot on your PC.
Now extract stock firmware in ADB Fastboot folder.
Turn off your device and boot into bootloader by pressing volume down button + power button.
Connect your device to your PC via a USB Cable.
Execute one of the scripts provided with ADB Fastboot folder.
Update: changed the link of retail to the latest one, with January patch applied.
Unfortunately the netlib.re link is not working. Do you have another link?

Have you used this one? And... if so... Is your Software status in the Bootloader still "Official"?
Since i took my device under sea water my USB port is having some issues... can we flash this without PC?

no, you need to be in bootloader to do this.

Is magisk working in this rom? Tried to flash it through recovery. It says magisk has been installed successful, but can't find it after reboot.

There is also a retail build. Is lte band 20 supported by br-release? I installed xt1900-6 brasil on my xt1900-7 and i didn't find a why to list the supported lte bands. Now i think about installing retail rom.

I put the Retail link on the OP, I think you can flash only modem.
Code:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
Flashed over 8.1 without any trouble...pie is working without any problems so far. Will OTA update work? I suppose, yes ..but not sure.
I think I know the answer but it's worth a shot..... Can this be flashed to the Amazon version of the Moto x4?

I'm not familiar with the Amazon variant but I'm pretty sure I read where bootloader can't be unlocked?
This can be flashed without the device being unlocked using the locked.bat file (I think).
Can someone else confirm this?
