Note: This is merely a temporary solution until everything gets released officially.
edit: Official version of lineage-14.1-20170316-nightly-onyx-signed.zip now works without flashing a custom kernel.
What's different here than official twrp and arsenic r32?
There's no point of releasing a new one unless it has some more fixes.
Fyi I'm already working on twrp, aroma is almost fixed, only some graphical glitches are remaining(which doesnt appear in screenshots), will release as soon as its fixed.

It actually works on the new revision of the oneplus X.
Alot of people had trouble getting a working twrp to flash a custom rom on a E1003_15 oneplus X . Since almost no roms came with a kernel that supported the E1003_15 , i figured i'd patch arsenic's kernel since it supports both AOSP/CM roms.
This is by no means a replacement for any official release and merely a temporary solution until everything gets released officially.

It only has the fix for the e1003_15 devices. It's merely a temporary solution and i do suggest people use the official Twrp/Arsenic kernel once it's released.
Ps: Nice to see aroma installer will be available to us soon. Any repo where i can find these changes? I don't mind testing it

@ChzeRub, Is it possible for this patched TWRP version to mount USB-OTG so that I can install Arsenic kernel from there.
I only copied RR Rom and gapps to internal storage, flashed them, flash boot.img, now I am stuck in RR booting animation.
Tried to push kernel from ADB with no result. Device not found error.
Or could you make the boot.img version of arsenic, so at least my opx pass RR booting animation.

It's enough, don't hide TWRP inside a ROM thread!
Built from source inside cm-13.0 source tree, always sync to upstream TWRP
Trusted, completely open (recovery changes, device tree, kernel, etc)
Currently use the new default TWRP theme
Qualcomm encryption support (untested, have no plan to encrypt my device)
Properly run AROMA Filemanager 2.00b7
Compatible to both old KitKat and new Lollipop bootloader (since 20160201 build, use updated kernel source but CM known not boot with the new bootloader)

@Kuma, Is there any reason that the new twrp is not working when pressing Vol UP+Vol Down+Power. I tried many times. I always flash through fashboot. And how can i permanently flash new twrp based on CM 13. I tired from adb folder, but recovery from phone is not working. Only one recovery working perfectly from phone is TWRP2.8.7.1. But you are saying use the proper recovery for better experience.
My device is Redmi 2 (2014818).

Working for me. After the Tux logo, still no idea why TWRP splash screen not appear but blank screen and then main TWRP menu shown. You can flash recovery via fastboot using "fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.8.7.0-wt88047-20160101.img" command.
<noob> Sorry, I'm new to Redmi 2 </noob>
Now the question: I am not able to permanently flash the recovery using fastboot, though the phone can hotboot one ("tethered"). Whenever I flash a recovery and reboot to it, only stock MiRecovery comes in.
Does anybody know solution?

Pay attention to the phrase "next to".
I mean use the commands both.
First, fastboot flash recovery ***.img, it will flash your recovery partition;
then, fastboot boot ***.img, it will override your boot partition, and your MiRecovery will be replaced.

Hello @Stayn aka @ Artx Dev ...great work. Its fantastic this TWRP...fast backup, aroma and MultiROM...uauuu..congrats.
Oh lord! Thanks for making TWRP even better!
Thanks a lot
Just wondering, usually some roms works as first only and not second and vise versa, does this apply here as well ?
F.eks lg official rom and its light versions ( clean rom etc.) As first rom
And then asop, caf, lineage or any custom rom as second
And vise Versa
Just to avoid a lot of fiddling....and time waste?
Again thanks a bunch
will donate some € for sure
Been on MultiROM a few years it seems and the current MR-TWRP has been good to me. Finally took the plunge and installed this one.
Now I gotta do some flashing and see how it feels.
As always, nice work @Stayn.

d855 user, For some reason this recovery fails to decrypt my storage, same for stock multirom recovery, I'm using f2fs and Ressurection Remix btw. The stock twrp recovery works perfectly fine btw
Thanks man! The official TWRP guys never seem to update anything for the G3. 3.1.1 has been out for a while now, and we've been stuck on 3.0.2

Is it possible to add support for large exfat microsd cards to this? Apparently this has the same problem mounting them as the official twrp does. I'd be ever so grateful.
Hi Stayn,
First just to be clear, is your twrp made to boot a multirom or is multirom required to do this first?
And second, I've heard twrp 3.02 is recommended on stock roms with aroma installer. Is your version 3.1.1 able to boot with stock roms as well?
Thanks for your work. Look forward to your reply first to try it

I made this Twrp because of the long time backups time, AROMA Compatibility and many other optimizations that I wanted to add, started with normal Twrp but then switched to a Twrp modified for multirom
It works like any other Recovery, but, is more optimized, faster, updated and has AROMA compatibility, if you flash multirom then you'll be able to flash secondary ROMs and it doesn't matter if is stock rom, I've AEX has primary and Fulmics has secondary and there's no problem at all
In other words, you don't need Multirom to run this Recovery.

Flashing Instructions
Needed files:
-TWRP with encryption disabled by @vache
-No Verity & Disable Force Encryption Zip by @Zackptg5
This will disable encryption, don't boot into erecovery or restore stock as it will wipe your internal storage to re encrypt it
1. Copy Rom, the disable verity & encryption zip, Gapps and Magisk (optional) to microsd or adb folder on PC
2. Install the TWRP and verify if it works.
3. Make backup of internal storage, next steps will format it.
4. Boot to fastboot and do the following command (it will give an error):
Code:
fastboot -w
5. Boot to TWRP and do Format Data.
6. Reboot to TWRP and wipe system, data and (dalvik-)cache.
7. Flash rom and disable verity & encryption zip (microsd or adb sideload)
8. Flash gapps & magisk if you want root.
9. Reboot
Steps and files are from this guide

I remember running and liking Ground Zero roms on my LG G3 - Validus, Tesla, and Tipsy. Will have to give this a try.
I successfully flashed magisk 17.1, 17.2, and 17.3 in multiple install attempts but the rom was never rooted.

I have downloaded the linked twrp twice and successfully flashed it four different fimes and it states it is 3.2.1-0 by Pratoriano80 and zxz000. Is this correct?
After that I followed the directions but after trying to boot it twice - getting to the start install gapps screen, it booted to the erecovery screen.

You can download the TWRP app. Search for the device name and the TWRP version. The file can be flashed from the app as well as from the recovery.
I was almost on the verge to buy a new phone. Thanks for this! Long live the poco.
Thank you for the contribution! @lakshay18
Can somebody tell me the function of recovery image on the website download section? The instruction doesn't tell to install it. I'm coming from last Pixel Experience PLus 11 ROM.
Btw, the website still says it is in Beta.
Does this have face unlock?

it isn't important at the end after flashing the rom recovery will be flashed automatically, and this is stable rom written on this forum i think website have to be updated.
Does PE recovery allow flashing of TWRP recovery?
i dont know how to report bugs, but im putting here, in first image the icon of link on top and icon of image on middle doesn't come automatically, i have to press an option called select in multitasking menu and after cancelling select option these buttons starts appearing otherwise dont, i recently saw in youtube video that this is working fine for other this means this bug is for me only
The steps given were clear and precise.
ROM installed successfully.
Thanks for the great work.

Will OTA work with magisk/root?
Does magisk work ? Or do I need Canary Magisk ? Also regarding OTA, is it the same as Android 11 ? Updating then flash magisk from recovery ?
Cheers

Will do, yes, full wipe. Not sure if its an twrp issue as i get some crypt errors in twrp.
Paranoid installs nicely with the aosp recovery they provide tho
Edit, getting impression that the wipe command not functional in twrp. Lets see other users manage to install

So found the issue guys. Problem beetween user vs userdebug build (Selinux issue) Building again.
Wait few hours (2/3) and see on DL page for the new builds.
i always use an userdebug build for debugging and it's the first time it happen
Very sorry for this inconvenience, my mistake...
I've updated too the TWRP process with format userdata in OP
