Baseband Radio Flashable Zip - Moto Z Questions & Answers

Hi there!
Is there any repository of baseband radio flashable zips, just like we found it for Nexus models?
Right now, I use default baseband version, but LTE data speed is quite slow: less than 15 Mbps. With my last device I was on ~35 Mbps.
Thanks in advanced.

I was going to ask the same question. I'm on Lineage OS and want to update the baseband without reverting to stock and then doing an OTA update. The thread with the "official" firmwares are also quite old.
Is it possible to 'dd' the according partition on a updated device to get a fastboot flashable image?

With the old radio version is a problem while flashing LineageOS that the MAC adress is cloned. We have the problem in our Wlan with two Moto z and the same MAC adress.
I am interested the get the acutel modem version to clear this problem.
now I am flashing ex kernel additionally to solve this problem.

Nothing ?
It should be really helpfull.

*sigh* You realize when you say "I downloaded this..." without providing what "this" is is pretty useless for us to help you troubleshoot?
What update WERE you on before you started modifying the phone?
What did you download and install?
What modem / baseband version is installed?
Wifi and phone functions are most likely not working because you either downloaded the wrong thing or didn't follow the installation instructions correctly. Typically this would be because of mismatched modem and kernel or there's a patch that needs to be installed.
Usually I would just say install the newest stock firmware (4.4.2) through Odin, but depending on what update the phone had originally and if you plan on continuing to customize your phone, it might be better to stick on an older system as the newer ones really lock down the ATT version.
Long story short: Help us help you. Provide ALL the details about what's going on and we can probably get you fixed up easily enough.

I337MVLUFNC1_880525_REV06_user_low_ship_MULTI i installed this rom , i was on kit kat 4.4.2. and i installed gummy rom which did not work , then realized i lost the @#$#@% backup here is what it says under about device: model sgh1337m

[Q] SGP511 Does running different base firmware under cyanogenmod make a difference?

Hey Guys
Having some trouble with my z2 tab. Might be hardware related not sure yet. Regardless, can anyone tell me if the firmware a sony experia is running before flashing cyanogenmod makes a difference? I am unclear on this being an HTC user for years I know that firmware in HTC land updates modem and wifi drivers etc so base firmware makes a difference. Is this the same in xperia land? Seemingly I have two choices moving forward with my z2 tab as doomlord has stated that there are two firmware versions that are compatible with his root and CWM recovery.
He says:
7.1.1.A.0.402 - v03
17.1.A.2.36 - v01 or roms based on that firmware. Not sure what he means by roms based on that firmware. Can anyone please shed some light?
Thanks
Bump

I am running CM11/CM12 since last summer on my SGP512. No problems whatsoever.
To run CM12, you don't need to install a recovery with a stock kernel. Just flash the CM boot. img via fastboot as described in the thread, it contains the recovery and the kernel.
Note that the CM12 recovery has some bugs, so sometimes the CM11 recovery has to be used. Everything is explained in the CM12 thread in the original development section.
Thanks. I too have been running cm11 and now 12 since may. I am more curious if the base firmware before u load cm makes a difference

Updated to 4.3 EFS went from v1 to v2 and can't get signal on custom roms

Hello!
Phone Gt-i9300
So i was happily using omnirom for 1 year until my motherboard died last week
so i ordered a new board. i installed it, it was on 4.1.2 unlocked, and i decided to update it without making a efs backup! so dumb!
So i installed a 4.3 Stock ROM, no signal so i had to install
-Patched XXUFMJ9 kernel
- Patched BUUGMJ3 modem
So i can use my phone with no problems in STOCK....
BUT. I hate STOCK..
I have tried to flash omniroom 4.4.4, but it says unknown baseband, uknown imei.. i tried installing omniroom and then installed again the patched modem buugmj3 and ofcourse nothing happened...
So.. my question is.. Am I forced to stick with this TouchWiz Rom? or is there any way for me to do something to get omniroom detecting my signal?
Oh something i was forgeting.. before i updated to stock 4.3... i installed first omniroom.. but i decided to update to stock 4.3 because i was getting signal but it could take 1 HOUR for the phone to get the signal.. and from there signal would lose at any moment.
anyone? i read the FAQ and did this
Q9: I'm sure I've correctly flashed an SGSIII ROM with the right CSC for my network but why can I still not make calls?
If your phone was running an Android version less than v4.3 before you flashed a new ROM then you may need to install a patched modem and, if you upgraded to a newer stock ROM, a patched kernel too such as the zuluman modem FW/kernel. You will usually not need to install a patched kernel if you install CyanogenMod or a CM-based ROM. A number of kernels and modem firmwares patched for Android 4.3+ are available here.

and still nothing

can I install a modem?

if not, it's because kernel android is monolithic?
if yes, how to do?
I read several posts about update firmware on my P7500XXKI1 ("open europe") but no procedure done detects and updates my modem.
someone notice and wrote it.
I have a f**k of tablet 10 y.o. but a decent firmware, lollipop too, with 3G and wifi I can't find it.
thanks to everyone.

Galaxy S III I9300 LineageOS 15.1 (8.1 Oreo) WiFi Does Not Connect

Got a second-hand S III and looked for a ROM. Since my favourite OS was 8.1 Oreo, I decided to install LineageOS 15.1. Installed and so far is great, except I can't connect to WiFi. When I click on the WiFi, it says Connecting and then goes back to Saved, then to Disabled. Before I ROM'ed it, there was no problem with WiFi. MAC address is the same, I checked it. Can anyone help me?

this is a common bug. just try switching the wifi on the phone on and off with the button or reboot the phone and try again or remove / forget the wifi and add it again. ive had this happen with other roms too, but usually it works after some attempts to connect.
you could also try resetting the phone / factory reset or full wipe and reinstall the rom.
if it doenst work at all flash the latest stock rom in odin complete with all modules (bootloader, ap, modem and csc) to update your modem and csc.
then install your custom rom again.
if it wont work at all try another mod.
you can use samfirmreborn to find the latest stock rom for your model:
