Can anyone with rooted stock MIUI upload the apk of the CIT (Engineering Tests) app for redmi note 4 snapdragon?
The file is probably here - /system/app/cit.apk
Update: i don't need it anymore.. but you can still upload it for other people if you want

It seems vivo 5 stock camera is very nice .......can we also use that camera on our android phone .....if it hasn't been made now for every phone ....I'm requesting to developers plz port that apk file for our phone.which can smoothly run on our device:good:

The camera app on the linked post should work on Mi3 and Mi4. Have you tried it?.
As both these phones share similar hardware , can I install redmi note 5 miui rom on rn4 or any way to mod rn5 miui so that it can work on rn4 ?

Never flash a rom that isn't for your phone or you will very likely brick your phone
Android isn't like windows, you can't simply install the same version on every phone, each rom is only meant to run on a certain device with a specific configuration.
You can install pixel experience for rn4 mido version with Qualcomm cpu here:

However I am not a newbie here , I have been tinkering with android devices , even with earlier mediatek based devices.
I have had my fair share of bootloops and stuff.
The only reason I asked this was that these both devices are literally same. Just different screen sizes(which doesn't matter much in software side of things).
They share same ram, rom, cpu etc.

Just found out , theres no portrait mode on redmi note 5/ redmi 5 plus , whereas portrait mode on rn4 works perfectly on both cams.
Beta of rn4 is more like stable , however it is not the case with note 5/ redmi 5 plus.

I am new to development so my question may be stupid.
I have Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 (mido) which has SD625 chipset which supports dual VOLTE but as firmware dont support we cant enable the feature in custom rom. Few months back Redmi Note 5 Pro got dual VOLTE update though OTA and that device also has SD625 chipset. I know firmware is not open source but can we edit using HEX code editor or IDA my Redmi Note 4's firmware to enable dual VOLTE or some other features which are locked by taking help or comparing from Redmi Note 5 pro which has the features and same chipset.
Appreciate if anyone could explain if it is possible or not.

This Patch was made to fix camera for joyeuse or excalibur on ported roms based on curtana R Vendor or other vendors such as oem meant for Curtana devices
Why Doesnt Curtana R Libs work on joyeuse or excalibur ?
Because of the firmware incompatiblity as they all under Q and Both Has Samsung 64mp GW1 isocell Sensor Unlike Gram and Curtana Which Have GM2 48mp
Also Cause of miss mapping for camera ids as it loads depth sensor as camera main ID
As Gram and Curtana are no diff in camera section

Hello. I know this post doesn't belong here. But please can anyone help upload the lib and lib64 camera files (as a zip) for Curtana (Redmi Note 9s). Please I need it urgently. Thank you so much.
To explain my problem: My camera module in my Redmi Note 9 Pro (Joyeuse) got faulty Soni had to replace it with the only available module from a Redmi Note 9S (Curtana). Now the camera app doesn't work. I think using the lib and lib64 files for Curtana will get it to start up. Since I do not have access to Redmi Note 9S, I would be glad if someone uploaded zipped them and uploaded them here for me. Kind regards.
