I have SAMSUNG GALAXY ACE S5830i and installed MindCr Rom v2.4. I wonder if i install another custom rom without flashing back the original stock rom will it work? I had done this before and it causing bootloop problem. Is there other way to do this?
Nope. Backing to stock ROM is important for CM-based custom ROM's. If it's a stock-based ROM, you can install over it but it MUST be a stock-based ROM too. CM7.2-based ROM's need Bieltv.3's kernel flashed via CWM and CM11 needs a MTD-compatible CWM (6.0.5.3 is the only one that works.)

I thought of porting a custom rom to my android device but there is no custom rom available for my device because no one created a custom rom for galaxy grand prime smg531f but there are custom rom for other devices which are same like this. I tried porting custom rom with my stock rom but nothing worked. There was no metainf folder in my stock rom so what to do?

Need help for a custom rom compatible with my device. It runs on MediaTek's MT6580, i already flash TWRP v3.0.2 but have not rooted it yet since I need to flash a custom rom, my reason is to remove bloatware and solve my flickering screen. I understand that i by running on custom rom, I would be able to stop my screens from flickering. I would like to install CM13.1 or Lineage OS but I want to ask some experts here first if there's much better ROM that I can use from your recommendations.

Another inquiry regarding porting custom rom, I found some roms dedicated for MT MK6850 devices i flashed it directly to my phone (stock rom) but I get an error 7, my question is do I need to port it to my device? If so, I understand that you need a custom rom compatible for my device as Base and the custom rom I want as port, how to do it if i am from a stock rom?
