I have not flashed yet however android O brings mostly under the hood changes at this time. Improvements in areas such as Bluetooth audio, notifications API and also battery usage by background apps

I'll change my original post to reflect that I'm also interested in hearing people's usage experience, particularly regarding early shutdowns or random power drains.

Remember that it is an alpha version...

bootloader is 03.64
radio is 03.81 and I have updated
vendor. img is very big with 191 mb or what do you think?

FYI - root with SuperSUv2.79SR3 does not work. It will boot to lockscreen but your pin/pass will NOT work.
Reflashing DP1 zip fixes it. Wait for updated SuperSU.

About to dirty flash over beta 2.
Let's see how this ends up..
So far so good.
Though it wants me to download and install 7.1.2 beta 2 again :')
and BankID give some kind of library error but seems to work fine.
A lot of things seems to have been re-arranged and/or given a facelift.
Some will hate it and some will love it. Atm I'm with the love it (new is great).

Welp, I tried clean flashing the full developer preview but I can't get it to boot. After successfully flashing all images, it boots to a "No command" screen and bootloops from there.
edit: reflashed the boot.img and it's booting up.

Have you read the release notes? There is no battery life improvement, quite the opposite. This is a very EARLY development preview, it's not suitable for daily driver. It's not even close to a beta release.

As I'm aware, hence it's a developer preview and not a beta.
Having said that, since Google has mentioned battery life optimisations I think it's entirely valid to ask for people to share their experiences once they've flashed it and run it for a bit.

Just follow the flash-all.bat steps

Will flash-all.bat without -w work? Or flashing everything withing wiping/flashing userdata.img? I would like to flash it without losing my apps and data and stuff.

Yeah so it does work without flashing/wiping userdata and don't cause errors or something after flashing? I thought maybe the old userdata wouldn't be compatible with android o or something. Thanks!

Did you all notice the little animation in the status bar when you get a new notification, kinda nice ! BUT there's big lag switching apps, I think ram management is a litrle worse too.

Yes!
also people reading the article on the portal, the tool does not use fast flash commands, it uses the dd method for those flashes, when i add kernel flashing and backing up your device as .img files then i will be adding fastboot flash commands, so yes, the flashes occur when your device is booted!

ok cheers, no problem. Will wait for the new version to be up, no rush. Thanks for your commitment to provide a tool for us noobs/lazy people!
Would you recommend running your tool before first boot?
Just a few questions: when there is <waiting for device> for 5 minutes, that seems like my drivers are wrong? It was possible to unlock, but not to install a recovery, so i am trying to update my drivers...
And can i run the tool and select unlock, install recovery and root even when my device is already unlocked?

Has the same bootloader and radio as all the other builds
this is awesome!
i have 2 questions. is it possible to add double tap to wake and long press back to turn screen off to the stock rom. these 2 features are so convenient to use.
thanks
I am on the E bootloader and 95r firmware. If i were to update it would this cause a brick? I am no longer on verizon and E was the best firmware/radio to use (98r). I wanna make sure my system is running up to par with att or is the bootloader the same for all the updates?
@scrosler
Its taking forever to install any System App updates like GMail or Keep for example. All other apps like Whatsapp or Facebook, etc install quickly from the Play Store, been sitting for 30 minutes now trying to get a few apps updated. Playstore gets stuck on installing and after a few minutes it jumps to the next download, which happens quite quickly, but then once again hangs around trying to get the app updated.

That's not how WiFi calling works.
You will see a notifications and its not enabled by default because you need to set an E911 address. Plus, you'll see a notification at the top if it actually worked in this build, which it could possibly but it seems like its not finished yet. This build has Tycho.apk which is also called ProjectFi and requires calling/texting/voicemail/contacts permissions and such. So that's probably at least an early WiFi calling build.
Source: @askdes
Is build H 5.1.1?

[ROM][5.1.1][SM-G360T1] SlimPickins stock, rooted, de-(-bloated,-odexed,-knoxed),etc.

So basically I wanted something better than stock for this particular device and there wasn't anything yet (as of me posting this), so I decided that I had two options, either be patient and wait for something to come out or take the road less travelled and cram a bunch of information into my brain off the interwebs until I could produce something. About one week later, here we are now with a working semi custom rom. I dunno if you could tell but I was pretty proud of myself, lol. The reason I've said all that is so that you realize that I am not a professional developer, in fact quite the opposite, I consider myself very much of an amateur (First Rom). I'm hoping that this goes off without a hitch for most of you however if you do have issues don't be afraid to ask, I'll do my best to try and help you figure out what's going on. Plus who knows, maybe just by posting, somebody else more knowledgeable than I will see your issue and take an interest. Allrighty then, enough of my yammering, On to the good stuff!!
Obviously if you've gotten this far you should realize your warranty is void and I am not to be held accountable for anything that should happen to your phone during this process. Unless of course, if it's totally awesome, then I wouldn't mind a little credit

This rom is awesome guys! Been running it on my device and it's definitely much lighter, faster and gives you extra space for a bunch more apps and for a healthier CPU and ram. I recommend giving it a try. Be sure to back up your stuff first in TWRP! I also did a wipe of the stock rom data/dalvik/cache in TWRP first myself before flashing this rom for a much cleaner install, but you don't have to. You can just backup your stuff and flash.
Anyhow, I hope you give it a try and I also hope you'll give @Koognod some thanks/donations/etc for being the first to actually put in all the research and hard work required to give us a better rom! Thank you Koognod for getting the ball rolling for rom development on the SM-G360T1!!!

And mega's back up so both links should be working now.

We're trying to get more roms made for the Core Prime. Didn't you used to have one? None of the Galaxy devices though will ever be as popular as the S5, S6, S6 Edge, etc., so what it usually comes down to is you either have to start a development movement online and build some interest there or you can always try and make your own. That's what @Koognod did for this one. If you'd like more info on that by the way, then you can check out this guide here.

Here too is an example of how we're trying to get Cyanogenmod for our device.

Me Too!
Yes, I tried it and the same thing happened to me, it must be a corrupt download because people are giving the release a 8.3/10. I found a slightly older but highly rated rogue pig version. ( see same link above)
I installed it successfully and must say, it's actually extremely good.
Corruption
The original newer file is probably just corrupted so I am going to try redownloading it. Until then, check out the other version that I placed in the same megadrive folder see the link above. Yes, it's a little older but its actually awesome!
I just attempted to find the newer rom by cold ruthless on the BBS website, has he been banned. I had a bookmark saved and when I click I get this message " Authors are banned or deleted automatically blocked" Not sure if its the same person or not, if this next download is corrupt. I would still recommend flyme_LEX720_rogue_6.8.3.17R-beta, I am testing it right now and like it alot.
Does Android Pay work with this ROM?

No issue like this. Everything worked. It booted fine. You may have to use the recovery version from earlier in the month of Jan.
Everything worked for me except volte which is no big deal. Really impressive build. Thanks for downloading @tsongming..

It looks like what happened to me when going from an Oreo rom to Nougat, you have to format data not only wipe data. Format data, write "yes" and then install the rom. Always have a backup of your data before.
flyme is one of the best system , the official one is good but it's old , be sure to have eui firmware before flashing flyme .

Okay thank you how's the battery so far?; I've owned Meizu phones and there is was always good for battery optimization

Ok, this is what I have found. Your original latest flyme seems to be working ok. Here is what I have done. Using RAR apk, I unzipped it, and it complained about one apk in mizu-apk folder, and I ended up removing that folder completely, and zipped the ROM again. It flashed without any issue, but I can't seem to get Data to turn-on. It turns on briefly during the boot, but it goes away. I think if I compare the build.prop from older version with newer version, I may be able to find the fix.

Extremely good, at the moment my phone has no OS at all..
I only glanced at battery life briefly yesterday with Gsam battery tool. Plus, I installed BlackScreen 5.3 r2 which worked fine, I would rather wait for a real answer. Otherwise it would just be a guess.

These roms are provided in case they're useful, no promises, no guarantees...
Only f5121 and f5321 builds were basic-tested (call, sms, data, wifi, camera, bt, fingerprint),
no battery drain, over-heating nor intempestive reboot seen after a few hours mostly idle.
GApps, GStore, GCam and Magisk reported to work when proceeding with care (see this post)
finally something new for suzu thanks i'll test it later

i testing it right now and post a little "review" soon
for now i can only say it boot with gapps and magisk flashed
edit: when it booting on there were only a few minor errors in adb logcat so i think it will be a quiet stable rom

Thanks appreciate it...if there no random reboot issues,it would be nice
Flashed it on my f5121 and it's best rom for suzu right now.
No bugs at all, baterry life and prformance is great.
No random reboots (at least no reboot happened to me).
GApps/GStore working. Magisk too. Im not able to test NFC, 5GHz wifi and cast so idk if it works.
Unfortunately I'm back to nougat PA rom because
drivedroid app not working on this rom (it not working on any rom even on stock only on PA lol)
but if you not using it, this rom probably will be your daily rom.
I'm will flash this ROM soon and i'm gonna write a post about it after a "week experience". I'm still gonna write any "strange behaviours" during usage, if necessary. I hope for the best

I've added details about install instructions ; note the crucial part of those is with fastboot, not adb.

I'm gonna be able to answer correctly to this question after some days of usage. BTW, since i flashed i only got an unexpected reboot after flashing Magisk (so it's not that unexpected) and i had to reboot once because i've got some problems with wifi but this is a bug that i found on other pie ROMs too. I'll let you know in the following days if this issue is too annoying

This aosp build is pretty fast...but one and only,I just got reboot issues while try to use recent app switcher (gesture)

Maybe with a clean flash all our little issues would vanish. Anyway, compared to a 2.9 Havoc GSI that i was using before flashing this AOSP i can say that (for now) this ROM looks smoother and more stable. I'm also trying to increase battery life by tweaking stuff with kernel adiutor

Could you get logcat/dmesg/ramoops logs from the crash ? And describe how to reproduce if possible ?
