[Q]Fixing force closes on ported systemui

Hello ,
I am trying to port AOSP system UI to my Asus Zenfone 5 running lollipop 5.0 (which is latest update provided by Asus )
I have almost ported it but, the only bug I found is when I press physical home button system UI force closes and restarts within a second. But if I enable softkeys by editing build.prop and then press the home button of softkey or physical button the system UI does not restart.
If anyone have solution please help me or otherwise tell me how can I find out why it's force closing.

[Lineage os 14.1] Home and recents button not working, can't access developer options

Running latest weekly for lineage OS 14.1 may 18th, I was using my phone when it shut down suddenly and restarted. When it booted back up I had lost all my app data, I wasn't logged into chrome etc, the recents and home button do not work, on either on screen or capacitive buttons. (long press on recents brings up the app menu however, and haptic feedback registers the click)
I tried this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65442177&postcount=3982
By wiping the system folder and installing the nightly again along with an updated open gapps and it did nothing.
I can't access developer options, repeatedly hitting build number does nothing. I can't pull down the notification tray all the way. I'm missing menus in settings.
I honestly don't know what happened. I installed a new app[The world of magic] about an hour before this happened but I was using it the entire time. I've tried to list everything I ave come across, any help or further questions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
One of my friend had similar issue. Go to Settings>Profile and change it to owner. Probably it will help.
I had this issue when I started messing with rerunning the first time setup. Rerun the setup by following these steps:

So, just wanted to circle back... Contrary to the above, it is indeed possible*and I was able to do it and reproduce it reliably.*Long story short, it was the following two commands that did the trick :
1. adb shell
su
pm enable com.google.android.setupwizard/com.google.android.setupwizard.SetupWizardActivity
2. adb shell settings put secure user_setup_complete 0
The first command is case sensitive (SetupWizardActivity)

I was facing the same issue when my phone rebooted due to low battery. Can confirm that rerunning the setup fixed the issue. Thanks to this thread for the help.
These are the steps which I followed:
1. Removed the screen lock (Might not be needed, not sure).
2. Executed the above two commands mentioned by AlexInvar.
3. Reboot.
You can also pass that with Nova Launcher.
Just create an activity shortcut for "installation Wizard" activity and run it
After that, it will be OK.

[Magisk Module] MIUI Dialer/Messages/Contacts for POCO F2 Pro

Guys, if anyone needs it, I made a Magisk module which allows you to install MIUI Dialers/Messages/Contacts on our POCO F2 Pro. It is enough to flash the archive in Magisk Manager and select Dialer and Messages apps as default applications (Settings -> Applications -> All applications -> Three dots in the upper right corner -> Default applications).
Also, whoever wants, you can freeze the Google Dialer. For this, install the "Activity Launcher" application. Go to app and search "Settings$ManageApplicationsActivity", find the Dialer application from Google and click "Disable", that's all. By the same principle, you can freeze the "Messages" and "Contacts" applications from Google.
You can download Magisk module from this link -

Many thanks to Senior Member Dearminder, he responded for my request to attach the file in the comments section (I'm Junior Member, I can't do this), but my .zip file is bigger than 20 Max. so he couldn't do this Because of this I provided a link in the post.
Thank u so much!!
You can just install MIUI 12 Indonesian version for POCO F2 PRO with Fastboot Mode (unlocking bootloader) and u have there Xiaomi Dialer/Messages/Contacts and stock system without root (magisk)

Cannot change any permissions anymore since today

I don't know, what happened. Since one month or longer I use Cherish OS (Android 11) AOSP Custom Rom on Redmi Note 10 Pro, but suddenly I cannot do anything related to permissions. When I start an app and it asks for a permission I cannot press and select anything. The popup for deny/allow appears, but touching any option does not do anything. I just can go back, and use the home button etc, but not select the permission options. When I go to the app settings manually via long press on the app icon and open the app details, I can do everything, except setting the permissions there either. It just freezes I cannot do anything, except go back to the previous menu.. What might be the issue? I cannot use any app properly, except those I gave permissions before. I even flashed the Rom again but nothing changed
Try clearing system cache.
Hard reboot.
