You can improve the signal strength of the wifi router by using a parabolic antenna. Simple design google it and happy surfing....
I mean is there a line I can use in the build prop. On wolfbreaks Rom the speeds are unreal. Yet on the stock its so slow

The real wifi speed is more related to baseband, what may be your issue is something related to software processing that is too slow, as far as i know there is not much of a difference regarding wifi signal strength or anything that would affect wifi directly, the only changes are in system response and processing.

in past years I could choose gsm codec on my device
so I could have good quality in strong signal
or lower quality if my signal was poor where good codec hangs up
I think it was full/half rate
can I select half rate in my gs2 in areas with poor signal?
What android version 2.3 ?
Now we have 4.1.2 and i think that is not necessary because system handle it

Hi everyone, I recently bought an HDC Galaxy Alpha MTK6582 and I was well happy about the ay it is built, BUT sadly It is a Battery eater device and it has a VERY POOR reception in 3G and calling in general, now ..on my first test I did notice the battery drain quickly upon some test and so I found the only available ROM and flash it, but it seems this one to be the backup of the ROM in stock with the device, I don't know if any of you can help in find a better ROM or suitable one to improve the quality of this device as it often LAG unexpectedly.

Different SOTs I usually get with Cherish OS are comparable to figures you'd expect on MIUI. I'd go even further and declare that the former slightly improves on the stock experience. If you've been encountering underwhelming battery performance lately, I strongly urge you to switch.
