I9300 FM Radio freeze "Turning on..."! - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was having trouble starting Spirit2 on the latest version of LineageOs I9300, I thought it was a compatibility issue!
I decided to install the ROM STOCK 4.3 source and to my surprise, the FM Radio does not start either !!!
In other words, the app starts but when I turn on the radio or search for a frequency it freezes to say "Turning on..."!
Can someone help me?
I've reinstalled the stock rom by Odin.
Thanks

Yes, headphones connected, and sock fm radio also presents the same error.
I think the problem was caused by some advanced Spirit2 setup!

Remove the app and reflash the rom.

I've already done it via Odin.
Is it a hardware problem?

check that you don't connect your chrager to your phone....it makes Spirit FM freezes

Okay, this FM Radio problem came up in LineageOS.
Since I could not activate the FM radio, I decided to go back to a stock 4.3 version (Odin) but it also did not work (freeze with the indication "Turning on...")!
I've tried everything, with and without USB power, connected headphones...
Since in the stock version 4.3 the FM Radio also did not start, I decided to reinstall the latest clean official version LineageOS and installed Spirit2 again.
Attach information that appears when starting Spirit2 (with root permission).
Is it a hardware problem?
Everything else is working fine!
I appreciate the cooperation of all to solve this problem.

...have you tried the stock fm radio app?

Yes.

Do you have a clear view of the sky? And you could also try more gps applications but try to do it with a clear view of the sky if you haven't.Hope this helps.
I tried more than once. Also downgrade radio to 2.14 version but still no progress.

O.K. This should solve your problem. Upgrade your radio back to 2.15.50.14. After that, download and install the attached file on your phone. Make sure you install it TO YOUR PHONE and NOT SD CARD. Then run the app, download data, then run your gps app. You should be good to go. Hope this helps.
Tried ....nothing again...
I would try a task 29 then reinsall the rom, its likely just a software glitch
Go to GPS settings and mark "managed by windows" or something my rom is in spanish, then run quick GPS, and try first whit Google Maps if u have 8 Sat´s+ the GPS work Fine, if u dont want to configure GPS flash AKIRA ROM WWE is ready for use iGo 8 (That i have) ;D

Hello, had the same problem with my HD2. My phone was having an Eastern Europe type of ROM (Poland 1.48.479.1). After I've put the HSPL, I updated the phone to the latest Radio (2.15.50.14) and a custom ROM, i did see that GPS didn't work. In trying to resolve the problem, I installed a lot radios and OS's (custom Windows, SD Androids, NAND Androids, etc), but GPS didn't seem to work in the right parameters (there were sometimes when it worked for few seconds after waiting about 5 minutes). Then i decided to turn back cu SPL, and install the original stock Windows from the HTC site. Now the GPS seem to work fine. The Radio version is 2.05.51.05_2. Hope it works for your phone too.
Another problem that i noticed, is that when i'm starting Destinaror, appears a message that says
"Bluetooth connection is not possible. Please check that bluetooth connections are active and then try again"
What is this? Is this the problem generator?

[Q] Bluetooth Problem with o2 latest firmware KI4

Just updated my o2 i9100 via Kies to latest firmware PDA:KJ1 /PHONE:KI4 /CSC:KJ1 (O2U)
Everything seemed to go ok and phone rebooted
Now when I switch on Bluetooth a message apears telling me there are open available bluetooth devices and then crashes.
Screen goes blank - quick flash of o2 Startup "water" and startup screen then media scanning complete and keeps looping until I can catch it by turning off bluetooth. Then its stable!!!
Newbe needs help please
BTW all was working fine before update
I have the same issue, also noticed that in 'Running Services' there are 2 copies of BLUETOOTH SHARE running, one showing 28.00KB, the other 0.00B, otherwise all other functions running ok.
Does everyone with the latest O2 firmware have this problem? I'd be grateful if anyone else could say if Bluetooth is broken for them too.
Thanks.
Updated yesterday (KJ1) no problems, switch on bluetooth, notification comes up showing available devices.
Downgraded and then let Kies try again.
This time all working!
Not sure what went wrong the first time as both times got exactly the same messages and success at the end.
How did you downgrade ?

I used factory reset.
remember to backup data first
Factory reset resolved Bluetooth issues, thanks
I've been having this problem despite several full wipes. This is happening on the leaked XXLPB (ICS firmware) as well so it doesn't seem to be a software related.
When I enter commands such as *#232337# (Bluetooth Address) or *#232331# (Bluetooth Test Mode), I can't find Bluetooth details (such as Bluetooth MAC address etc.). I'm wondering if I should send the phone for repair.
Would like to hear if this is a known problem and there is a possible fix other than a full wipe.

[Q] Problem with FM radio after changing ROM

Hi, few days ago I changed ROM to newest Kyrillos version in my Ace II and I saw that radio don't work correctly.

After about 30 seconds system says that FM Radio isn't responding and it is asking me if I want to close it. Before, when I had Android 2.3.6 and Kyrillos ROM for this version, I hadn't got any problems with FM Radio. Could anyone help me?

Microphone Problem in Android 11

Hi there
Since I updated my MI A3 to Android 11 the microphone sometimes doesn't record voices !
( I reset and flashed my phone so many times but didn't solve )
Upppppp
If you flashed stock with miflash... Probably the problem is hardware. I have flashed many stock and custom a11 firmware. And my microphone work well. A question. When you reflashed stock rom... You have changed the active slot? All updates are installed on slot b. So if want to make a good clean istallation... In my opinion is better set active slot to a via fastboot before flash. Try this. Also you can try a custom stable rom with oss drivers. But is important to make a good installation. Or the software problems may not be solved
Recently after owning a new car that is my first using Bluetooth handsfree option, I discovered this issue.
It seems the mic got somehow "stuck" to the car when I leave it, as the phone's normal mic then is okay. Just when trying to use the phone's handsfree mic in a call oder video calling in signal or hangouts it doesnt work. Even recording videos using the camera app is fine, but any handsfree option for any communication does not work.
Restarting the device or restarting bluetooth does not work. Somehow the phone recovers after sometime. When, why and how I do not know.
It definitely breaks down again once reconnected to the car.
with other bt devices have same problem?
Sadly I don't have any other bt device that is handsfree mic capable, I just own a speaker that is connected every now and then - it was my first idea to recover it by connecting to another bt device (the said speaker), but it does not work. Of course, the speaker is not connected using the same bt variant, the icon in the phone's settings is different.
mmmm... for this issue, the solution are: try delete all bt connection. if dont work try install latest software update. if dont work the definitive solution is wipe data and make a new clean installation. i suggest do this via miflash
