Hi everyone, I have found the latest Pixel launcher O version and works with 7.1.1 Nougat at least, seems to work fine, with the new long press google sub menus.
At last we can have a google stock fix.

It works as an installable APK definitely, but still doesn't show your Google Now feed by swiping to the left, just like the older flashable file.
Am I missing something?

There's a zip, but I can't remember where I got it from.
For sub menus the long press on apps like chrome and others, they all work same as the pixel.

Found this on another forum. It's chromium optimised for snapdragon.
Runs substationally smoother and faster than chrome.
Love the fact that it has edge swipe backwards/forwards which was something I really miss from my iPhone days!

I didn't build this, just sharing the goodness!
So which one we have to take ? From the playstore or your link ?
Looks great unfortunately it's 5 versions behind current Chrome release, likely missing some critical security patches, I wouldn't use it.

Ah I see, has outdated info on the forum post then, didn't install it as thought it was 42.x
I'm using the v42 one. Not tried the caf v46 yet but hear that it is not as quick. Would be interesting to see the v42 one in the oneplus forum updated to the latest version with a block built in..

That won't be optimised for snapdragon, and it doesn't have adblocker or edge swipe.

If you follow the link to the oneplus forum and go to the end of page 7, someone has a link to a version of 42 that they are now compiling with a statement that they will be updating to 46. Maybe one to watch.

Na, thats just for the MI5, if you scroll down a bit you will see the devices list & android versions for each model.
Wishful thinking for now but it may just happen one day if they are updating those.

One last question sorry, does the launcher on the EU rom have the search/recommended apps screen on the left hand side? I know I could just use nova or apex but I actually don't mind xiaomi's launcher as it's smooth and quick enough. I think it's disabled on the global rom, as it's for searching using some chinese search engine so just curious if it's enabled on the eu rom.

No this is the one I have, its on the left hand panel and cant be removed (from what I can see), although I think it's removed in the global rom and yours too. There are some settings but they're all in chinese.
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
Yeah I'm not sure I don't see anything like that & you have a cog down the bottom..So how did you get to that? is it the furthermost left swipe or from the app drawer somewhere?

Yep furthest swipe to the left (screen to the left of the default 'home' screen), probably Xiaomi's version of a Google now type search thing. The cog opens some settings options but they're all chinese, so not sure if there's an option to turn it off or not.
Not to worry, I'm keeping an eye on cosmic Dan's thread and will probably end up flashing the EU rom with his updated tweaks once they're available.
Sent from my Redmi Note 4 using Tapatalk
Yep It's missing on the EU version so they must have removed it, also the one from the pulldown doesn't work either it just closes the window.

You might have already seen this on the miui forum, but thought I would drop a link in case you're interested.
Its a flashable mod for MIUI 8 stable/dev roms and has been updated the other day to work with latest 8.1.3.0.
Its has tweaks for battery/system, the fix for slow play store speeds, amongst other stuff.
