and i got a NTT Docomo SO-01B. / android version - 2.1-update1 / kernel ver. - 2.6.29
if i insert a sim it show's again " please insert a sim card and restart".
so i want to know, is this a phone lock on this mobile? how can i unlock this?
and i want to update this for android 2.3? how can i do that?
please guys help me out!

make sure you put the sim in the correct way, also make sure the sim works
if you put a sim in a simlocked xperia it just gives you emergency only, but you should be able to access sim card (for example phone contacts on sim)

Use another sim nd check it..sometimes sim may have a problem.so

thanks for the replay.
i tried from a another sim card also. it is a working sim card.
i tried to view contacts from it. but it says "No contacts on your SIM card"
and no signal bar on the top
and i manually search the network . and it shows all the networks that use. but i cant manually register on a network.
it tells your sim card is not allowed the connection for this network.
why is that. please help me!!!!

I do have my Docomo SO-01B SIM unlocked code purchased from a Web site. It was cost USD$19.95
Actually, it's not blocked, but rather locked due to its nature of being contracted to NTT Docomo. You have to either use a SIM card from Docomo (which is impossible, since you'd need to be in Japan to use it, and roaming costs you a fortune, so let's not choose this) or remove the SIM lock.

I'm sorry but I don't know as I've never had this problem. You might get more help if you create a new thread in the Q&A section. Make sure the title is something like "How to remove SIM lock?" and include the details of your phone, except your IMEI. Just tell them what model, and which provider you bought it from (in your case, NTT Docomo SO-01B, the Japanese version of Sony Ericsson Xperia X10).

Hello, i recently got my new K910 but there is a major problem,
the 3G sim slot does not work.
I tried many roms but i couldn't get it to work.
when i put the sim in the first slot, the phone will tell me " No Sim Card "
I also tried to change roaming settings, try 4 diferrent sim cards from diferrent carriers, im stuck

Hi guys, I bought z2 from dubai, when i came for vacation in india, it is not working as it is not taking any sim cards in india, i flashed it with al most all versions ftf but still it is not taking any sim cards. There is no (X) in sim lock but all figures are 0. When i tried to search the network mannualy, i found that there is no option for selecting network mannually. so guys please help to find a solution. How i can add the newtork manager option so that i can select network manualy

I have LG G5 phone "H850" i bought it from UK now im in different country and the phone wont detect any other sim it says no sim card i thought it was unlocking problem so i buy new unlocking code and inserted and it sid unlocked successfully but it still says the there is no sim ,,, and i tried different sim im in Asia region and when you go to Menu-->Setting-->About phone-->Status ,,, it show under Network "Unknown" ,,, here my phone info

Hi I think I can help you with that. I had the same problem with mine. Some sim card my be too thin for the g5. Put a small sticker on the sim and try again . it works for me
