I had successfully rooted my phone last week. But then due to some apps not working with rooted devices I uproot it using superSU. I want to go back everything to factory settings. Currently I am running stock ROM Software version: 5.9.020S (Marshmallow). I would also like to get back to factory recovery and uninstall TWRP. And also I like to lock my Bootloader. I am confused where I can start on this. I am trying to find "stock recovery file .img" but no luck. I can’t find it anywhere on google. I am aware of installing recovery .img using ADB and Fastboot but I just can't find the recovery img file. I hope I made my question clear. It would be great if you guys can help me out on this. Thanks.

:good:
Can't you just install the stock ROM revision that was on your phone originally, and allow TWRP to be overwritten? IIRC, you don't keep root after installing stock, and the recovery reverts as well, unless you tell it not to.

All:
I have attempted to flash TWRP via various methods to no avail. I have somehow messed something up so I cannot get the stock recovery to work. I can get into the stock recovery screen, but if I select anything, it says Secure boot error. I am currently on OTA 5.0.1 VS98523C. Any advice on how to proceed? I have looked at KDZ options, but am wondering if I can just get the stock recovery back and let it ride until TWRP is available.
Thanks in advance,
Steven

In theory, you can use the dd comment to put the aboot back, but I would not recommend it as I got my phone hard bricked that way. (so dead that even KDZ does not work)The safest way is KDZ back to 10b, and then stump root. Then:
1. Install TWRP manager from Google Play.
2. From TWRP manager you can choose your phone model and download and install TWRP recovery.
3. Follow the instruction from this link to use TWRP to install the 23c

Never do OTA if you have rooted your phone. It needs to be completely stock for OTA to work.
/\ What he said.
Twrp doesn't work after lollipop because of the signing requirements in the bootloader.
It needs to be rolled back to 10-12b and then rooted and then you can load twrp. Once you have twrp you can load jasmine or skydragon which are both 5.01.

Thanks! So if I want to use xposed, I should roll back to the other versions of lollipop?
thanks all. I KDZ'd 12b stock rom, rooted, then flashed TWRP through flashify. I then went into recovery and installed the 23c rom. I used skydragon 4.0.0 because I tried to flash Jasmine 7.0 like 8 times. I did not have any of the bottom keys and I could not access my pulldown menu. I could not figure out why this was happening. Skydragon worked for me perfectly. Thanks All.
Hi People, I hope someone out there can help with the problem I have. I'm trying to install TWRP recovery and it results in all Twrp versions 2.xx, i get OPPO powered by Android screen then goes blank. All Versions 3.xx I get the aforementioned screen and it sticks on it. I'm using the unrooted stock version of project spectrum 1.1 atm. I did install the CM recovery when it was around a while back on the device but after bricking it I'm back on stock firmware now and want to use lineageos.
I have tried every method and every TWRP package via fastboot but with no luck, I have been successful before but not now. Thanks
Any luck with it. I'm also stuck with twrp-3.0.2-0-r5.img

Stickies in the general forum are your friend. There are a couple of posts in there that will explain how to get to stock ROM then install TWRP and use it to root.

I'm having major problems with TWRP, and I need help.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 with a properly unlocked bootloader (MDL), rooted, that has had a working version of TWRP 2.8.7.0 and running an older version of Cyanogen.
I'm overhauling the phone, so the first thing I tried to do was to update TWRP.
Since TWRP v2.8.7 supports flashing itself, I booted into recovery and flashed the TWRP update (v3.2.1.0) directly through TWRP. No errors that I saw.
But when I try to boot into recovery, I now get "System Software Not Authorized By AT&T Has Been Found On Your Phone". Fortunately, I can still boot normally - it's only recovery that I'm locked out of.
In trying to fix this, I tried re-flashing TWRP with three different methods:
1. I tried to flash TWRP again through the TWRP app. But I get "Flash Failed".
2. I tried Odin and got "FAIL! (Auth)"
3. I tried flashing v3.2.2.0 using the dd method. This I was able to do without any errors, but I'm still locked out of recovery mode with that same "System Software Not Authorized By AT&T Has Been Found On Your Phone" error.
Help?
Try connect to computer and execute:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash recovery twrp-xxxx-xxx.img
Everything should be good to go.
Note: ALL TWRP settings will be reset.

ADB works fine for me, but fastboot does not. It says "waiting for any device". From what I understand, this is a common issue with Samsung phones. I'm using Windows 10, if that helps.
However, I came across a bug report for TWRP here, that reports the exact same problem from 3.0.0.0, and it's still open. That tells me that this may be a general issue with TWRP that they never bothered to fix.
So on a hunch, I tried re-flashing v2.8.7 using the dd method (since that's the only one I can get to work). And SUCCESS! I can now boot into recovery again!
So here's what I need to know:
1. Is there any way to get the latest version of TWRP to work on this phone?
2. Is it safe to flash a current version of LineageOS using this version of TWRP (v2.8.7)?
I'm really wary about that second question, because the last thing I want to do is brick my phone because an old version of TWRP doesn't know how to work with a new version of Lineage/Android. (This phone currently has KitKat on it)
You need Rashr to do this. You can find this app on the Google Play Store which can flash images in your system.
1. This version of TWRP should be able to flash modern LineageOS.
2. Using the above method provided should get you up and running the latest TWRP.

I finally found an explanation and solution - it would appear that TWRP 3.x does not have the Loki exploit applied. So nothing 3.0+ will work unless it's been Lokied.
Fortunately, the current versions can be Loki patched, so once that's done, they'll install and work properly. Whew!
So i was trying to root my Oneplus 6t that was running OXynogen 10.3.4 Android 10 using TWRP & MagicSk.I read a tutorial somewhere explaining how to install TWRP recovery & then flash Magicsk.I successfully installed TWRP recovery on my phone using cmd with the help of fastboot. However, when i tried flashing Magicsk using TWRP,i got an error "KEY VERIFICATION FAILED".Now, i don't plant to proceed with rooting my phone any further. Can someone please tell me how can i undo all of my actions and get my phone back in original condition as it was when i purvhased.Like pure stock android with no TWRP,No unlocked bootloader...Just like a phone's software looks when purchased new.
TWRP can't get uninstalled. You've to flash Stock ROM to get rid off of it.

How do u suggest i flash the custom ROM? Will i have to do it using TWRP? Oneplus gives a .zip file of stock ROM on its website. Also will doing this lock my bootloader again?
@Illicit_Lokesh
I thought I made it clear.
FYI: Recovery and ROM are two completely independent different things.
No one needs a custom recovery as TWRP to flash Stock ROM: This can be done with Android SDK tools like ADB and Fastboot.
