Hi,
I can't find the option to save RAW on the LG G5 SE.
As far as I know the camera of both G5 and G5 SE are the same, yet I can't see the RAW file option.
Any light on that?
Thanks!
up
try downloading a 3rd party manual camera app from google play and see if it shows anywhere in settings whether this camera supports raw shooting
try apps like camera fv-5, I think there is a free version of it. Or pay a few dollars for manual camera, AZ camera or any of those apps
Same here
I'm having the same issue! No raw option is available on my g5 se H845.
I've tried 3rd party apps that shoot raw and it was fine (camera fv-5), but none of them was as smooth as the stock camera app on my g5 se.
any suggestion?
G5 SE stock camera don`t have RAW mode.
Sorry for my english
Open camera
on my G5 stock camera app I have to be in manual mode to switch to RAW JPG. open the stock camera app hit the 3 dots in the upper right corner and select manual. it will force landscape orientation. on the left side there will be a small white box with JPG in it tap the box and it will switch to RAW JPG. I believe the phone saves 2 copies of the picture in this mode.
I hate when companies take this kind of decisions.
Same camera hardware on G5 and G5 SE but as the SE is cheaper they cut off the RAW option on the app, just because the phone is cheaper.
What an amazing move.

Hi everyone, i just bought the LG G5, I came from a samsung s6 edge + and the camera app from samsung let me set more low iso than the lg g5, so my question is that if there is a camera mode or setting to low the Iso on the lg g5 camera to take better long exposure pics, sorry about my english and hope you guys can help, thanks....
I think this phone is probably the best phone on the market for this kind of photography. Just use manual mode, set ISO to 50, use RAW (depends on you) and play with shutter speed.
On the camera app just click the 3 dots and select manual to access all the good stuff.
Which Camera app do you use and why?
I've been switching between ABC and Open Camera.
Those both have DRO built in.
ABC night mode works well sometimes.
I like Open Camera HDR and the ability to lower ISO, though it doesnt support 23MP
I haven't had a chance to try the snap camera much.
I'm using CameraNextMod.
Stock - third party apps have worse shutter lag because camera will refocus before capture.
stock and google one

Never heard of that one, I'll have to look for the proj thread
XNext Camera, a modified Stock Camera

I like keeping with the stock camera because i can use the dedicated camera button, and it uses the full 22.3 mp. With the mod, you could do some manual shooting (minus RAW capture)
You should be able to use the camera button with any camera.
I'd like to use the sony stock, but I'm on Lineage now so I didnt think it would work.

I just tried it with google camera, which is my only other camera app and i just knew now that it works. But the pre-focus doesnt.
Can Lineage capture RAW photos?
Stock because most apps dosnt support the max 23MP only 8MPx beside Camera FV-5
but! Camera FV-5 crash alot, the good thingg in Camera FV-5 you can use while the phone is hot and blow 4% batt, and abit more "control"
Only reason why I use Snap Camera is because I'm using LineageOS
Otherwise, I'd probably stick with default Sony camera
Greetings! So this is a tough one. I can usually fix these things myself. My LG G5 camera completely changed last week. I can no longer use manual mode on the rear camera, only the selfie camera has the option. When i click on mode while using the rear camera, the only options i have are snap movie, and auto. Manual mode is gone! Also, if i try to take picture with the volume button it gives an error saying "cannot take picture with volume buttons while CAM PLUS is connected." I am not using cam plus, i never have. Also, when in the options for the rear camera, there is no option above 8mp for picture quality. To top it off, I can't zoom either with the rear camera as it says "Zoom not supported for this mode". I mean seriously, wtf!?
I have tried 4 other camera apps, with no use. My pictures look grainy, and distorted most of the time. My s2 takes better pictures. I have messed with almost every setting in the options with no solution. I am praying that someone has a solution! I am on vacation and I am missing many great pictures. Thank you in advance!
How can I make the camera stay at 64 mp? Every time I put it in and take a photo it goes back to 16 mp

The LG V60 defaults its camera shots to 16MP, or about 25% of its actual 64MP range. You can change it in the camera app settings, but it will reset when you close the app all the way. Another, faster way to change it is to tap the 4:3 icon at the top of the screen and change it to 4:3 64MP.

I think basically....you can't.
If there are any developers willing to try, one idea is to root and maybe modify the camera_profiles.xml. And then maybe 3rd party apps could shoot 64MP.......just a thought.
So far, 64MP is restricted :
1) stock app only
2) only works with full auto....no manual control
3) the app will default back to 16mp every single time the app is switched out of shooting mode
4) no raw for 64mp
Other restrictions for the LG V60 camera AFAIK
- RAW does not work for many 3rd camera apps....not even OPEN CAMERA
- RAW only seems to work for Lightroom Mobile and Pro-Shot outside of the stock app.
Hello, I've been using this phone and its really good, but the software sucks, the built-in câmera app can only take photos with the ultra-wide camera and macro camera, I can only record with the normal main camera, I've been looking for Gcam for this phone but I couldnt find anything, the best thing I could find that works on this phone was Camera GO (CameraGo_2.5_Greatness_210725_2109_cameralite), but it only let me chose between normal and macro camera, and the camera that I want to record with is the Ultra wide one, anyone have any solution for that? It doesn`t need to be Gcam, but anything that let me chose the ultra-wide camera for recording, thanks
This camera you listed above is miles ahead of the stock camera app.
