Can anyone mod Google Now Launcher for me? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

To anyone who is good at software, can you please modify Google Now Launcher for me? I want the swipe up app drawing just like the one in the Pixel Launcher. As much as possible, make the look exactly like it and post the file here.
Reasons I want this:
-Installing Pixel Launcher won't allow me to swipe left to Google since it is not built in to the system.
-I still love Google Now Launcher
-I like the functionality of Google Now Launcher except I'm tired of that classic app drawer button
-I love the swipe up to get to the apps
To whoever does this for me, thank you so much. You are the man.

Yeah, your best bet will be to install Nova Launcher and customize it. You can set a swipe action to open Google Now (not swipe left). But that's the best you'll get.

Here's my Nova setup

maybe the optimus v launcher? it looks like froyo.
please help
use Zeam launcher ! you will find it on market
Launcher Pro brings you the Froyo-style and is highly configurable.
zeam launcher does not have the froyo styled dock. also not re-arrange shortcuts in menu.
i have launcher pro. i like it but i cannot re-arrange the shortcuts like in the lg launcher.
Any other launcher that might work?

Of course you can, just delete all shortcuts and put them in the order that you want.

no you can't i tried and have been using it for months, the only launcher i found was the go launcher. but it does not look like froyo
Go Launcher has the "arrange in the order you want", but the app drawer doesn't look like the one Froyo comes with (which is not really a bad thing).
Check it out.

Tablet-Style Scroll Outlines?

I can't seem to find a good screenshot of it (and the only person I know with a tablet's sleeping, so I'll post one tomorrow if I get the chance), but in Honeycomb and the tablet version of ICS, when you scroll on your current home screen to another screen you can see light-blue glowy outlines for the icons on the screen you're scrolling to.
Is it possible to replicate that effect in ICS for a phone? Would that have to be something done at the homescreen level, or something deeper? The Android tablets always had my attention with this effect.
Thankies! =]
Apex launcher, free in market, lets you have that animation. It is like ICS stock launcher with a lot more options. Choose trasition effect as tablet from Apex home screen settings.
I know exactly what you are talking about. I suggest you maybe contact the APEX launcher guys (Android Does) and see if that is even possible. I like it too and think it would be cool on the phone level.
Wow, you guys replied quickly... Thank you both. =D

It sort of does; it has the outline of the homescreen that moves around, which looks kinda' cool. However, it's still missing the part where the icons and widgets get that same outline treatment and then as they move in, slowly become visible.

Will do; I just wish Apex Launcher would let me move my homescreens around when I'm in the preview mode. xD It's the one thing I preferred Nova Launcher for, but Apex has improved lots since when I first used it (when it first came out).
Landscape mode?

[Q] google experience launcher - grid size

Hi, since 12.12.13 there is a new update of google search in playstore.
If i install this update, the google experience launcher changes the grid size (now i have less icons) and some widgets disappear or are resized.
Is there a possibility to change the grid size of the experience launcher desktop with a hack?
I would also like to know what has happened to the grid, as now I cannot have my homescreen as it used to be.
I wonder if this is anything to do with the new 'tablet mode' in the launcher. (install on an N7, then turn horizontally)
Funny, that the launcher is not officially supported on tablets!
For the time being, I have just reverted to GSearch 3.1.8. (or whatever it is!)
I am a developer, but I cannot find any reference to grid size in either the Launcher or Search APKs.
If you know, please reply

There are there modes phone, phabet and tablet. With Android 4.4, tablet mode is not available anymore. To switch between different modes use this tool
I think that it does not depend on the tablet oder phone mode. Other user have the same problem on different devices. (home button not in the middle, widgets deleted and and ...)
Hate to post in an older thread, but this is one of the first results when you start looking for ways to adjust the grid size.
GravityBox[KK] can change the grid size on the GEL launcher, but it's not perfect.

some widgets don't take to kindly to being squished down. like BeautifulWidgets.

Thanks for this. I was looking for a way to get the grid size larger on my Note 3. The resize ability for widgets is great too. I got it working using the Kit Kat version of Gravity Box, despite the fact that the dev says it may not work on Touchwiz ROMs.

Enable launcher themes without root

Download launcherpro(the old one)
Set lg launcher as default. Launcherpro only needs to be installed
Add the "activities" widget with the launcherpro icon
Go down to "home" and hit it
Pick the one that is circled in the screenshot
Profit. Now you can download themes from the g2 or flex or optimus g pro or gpro2 threads..

Thank you. Got it working and all but the themes aren't really all that. I really miss Unicon and can't wait for it to work on the G3.

Im on a g2. But should be the same since im on a g3 port
the keyboard themes and fonts are working as well.
metal body keyboard theme is awesome
im really digging MDcats fonts
Im having no luck getting anything to be able to be applied in the theme center thing. Nothing shows up regardless of what I dl. How did you get a keyboard skin to work?
Also I found if you add widget then to home an go to one that lets you access hidden menu scroll to bottom an select this an will give you the theme option in display in menu

[SHARE][APP] SwiftOpen - Fast Launcher

Hello. Yesterday, i was searching for an launcher (NOT a home launcher} which allow me to run apps more quickly from any app I'm running at an moment.
I found this app named SwiftOpen. It's thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-swiftopen-fast-launcher-beta-t2871523 .
It allow you to add apps shortcuts, even some settings like wifi, so you can put wifi on more easy. You swipe from right (you can change the place from where to swipe) and the launcher come.Read the whole description of it's thread. Oh, and don't forget to press thanks button to the developer
Review / My opinion:
In my opinion it does a great job. I don't even have to press home button to go in another app. It use about 15 MB ram. Last night i had 58% battery and i kept this app running in background and today, in the morning, i had same battery percent. So, it seems that it doesn't drain battery.
Now i don't even need to use the home button, as i placed an shortcut of "home" in the bottom left
I downloaded the latest version released. I encountered one bug: when i want to change the place of an shortcut, the app crash, but the shortcut get moved.
Here is an screenshot. You see an white square in the right, it's because i kept my finger there to take an screenshot, otherwise the launcher dissapear. By the way, you can add more shortcuts, even Tasker ones !!!

PS: The developer has also another app which i find it useful, Floating Translator: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2645809 .

btw i doubt that our SMART phone will stand this kind of multi tasking if i have FB installed
Also found this app recently, it's the best launcher by a long shot. I have a G4 and I hate the softkeys taking up screen space, as you mentioned this app means you don't need any other buttons or home button.
Thanks for the tip to put this launcher in the place of the home button, I had it on the side but now that you mention it that's naturally the best spot to put it.
Do you use it on Lollipop and use the Alt-tab feature?
That's not working for me on 5.1, think it's a lollipop issue?
