Phone doesn't recognized as usb device after rooting. - Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Questions & Answers

I have installed twrp and rooted my redmi note 4 sd. Before rooting my phone detects in my pc but after rooting there is no option to select mtp ptp and charging only. How can I fix this??? I tried installing wpdmtp.inf, so suggest some other solutions. Please have a look at screenshot attached.

persist.service.adb.enable=1
persist.service.debuggable=1
persist.sys.usb.config=mtp,adb
Just add these lines to the build.prop file using any root explorer...
It should start working again...

Can't Backup'ing EFS Partition

My phone lost his Imei after restoring to factory settings. I have root, and I was trying to do it because I have root so unrooted&wipe but after wipe my imei lost again, (once happened again, that time i sent it to service and came in good condition) but I found the EFS backup ing and editing with a hex editor will set things to order but even I have root and giving permissions to any program wont see SU.
Galaxy Toolbox prog. can't find any EFS and I could not be able to edit it. There is no Galaxytoolbox folder (or YGSxyz folder) in sdcard. And if I look with root explorers, there is no things in efs folder.
I mean to use this method but I do not have anything in my efs folder.
Any Ideas?

My device is rooted and its giving permission to applications but applications can't read the given SU permission. Somehow weird situation, oh by the way my phone could not connect to wifi on by own, i have to enter values of my wifis parimeters of ip gateway etc. and I could not update SU binary.

You don't have to be a professional, like everybody can do this. Just flash this through cwm and you have stock kernel again.

Can't delete files from my external memory card through file explorer

I have tried a lot of custom Roms. I'm on Neat ROM Lite now. Not sure which ROM changed my file access permission settings to cause this problem but I'm not able to delete any files from my external memory card. I was able to delete when I was on stock rom. The other problem is for a few apps I get an error message which says can't install on usb/sd card. I have posted this in another thread
some time back but got no response. Some one please point me in the right direction.
This is what my file permission looks like.
PS: I am able to delete when my fone is connected to PC via USB. So I don't think it has anything to do with a faulty sd card.

Hey I know its been quite sometime now.but as ur advice I downloaded mobile terminal and now have to run the following command everytime I boot my fone:
mount -o rw,remount -t/yaffs2 /storage/extSdCard
Otherwise i do not get rw access to my external sd.Istn't there a permanent solution to this? Also I fail to understand what changed my permissions and why does this persist across all the new roms I flash?

Create a blank file and type that command in it. Now save it and rename it to 95mountsd with no extension
Now, if you have init.d support, place it in /system/etc/init.d and reboot
Command will run on every boot itself
Thank you, it worked. Now could please have a look at my other issue, in this post I'd be really thankful.
Can you please tell me what could be the reason for my default rw settings to change, coz I remember when I had stock os I never had to do all this.

Dunno if it's possible to directly flash it by TWRP, but I'd suggest you to try this before flashing; take a nandroid backup, first of all. Now, using a root explorer, browse to /version/special_cust/BLN-L21/hw/eu/media (that's the path where i took bootanimation from, obviously if you're on another build variant you could find different model codes like BLL-L22, ecc. or just different paths) and move the zip into the media folder. Reboot and check if it works. If not, flash it by TWRP.
Edit - remember to change permissions to rw-r-r if moved to the folder with a file manager

[MOTOROLA ONE] About Multi-user increase over 5 accounts without rooting

Hello guys, im facing this problem and maybe u all can help me,
actually i got motorola one (not power) and i noticed this function multi-user with up to 5 users isollated. so i wanna increase this number of accounts up to 10, i know its possible, but can i do it without rooting?
or if only rooting is possible, is there a way to unroot 100%? because some apps detect im rooting.
can i acess "build.pro" and edit it without rooting too?
i also own a samsung j7 prime and followed tutorial below and worked very well with a little downsides, its detectable by some apps including banks apps
Any help is welcome
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/how-to/multi-user-samsung-galaxy-j7-j5-t3217939
Step 1. Open FileExplorer (Es file explorer, preferable)
Step 2. Go to "Device"
.
Search for "build.prop"
Edit and add the below string at the end of the editor and save and reboot !
fw.max_users=10
fw.show_multiuserui=1
You'll need root to edit build.prop.

with my searchs i found the pull push command, https://www.**********.com/push-pull-files-android-using-adb-commands/
so basically, run adb look for the build.prop and pull it to adb folder, edit the file into pc to 10 users (fw.max_users=10) save, adb push command and done, reboot? thats right ?

Nevermind! Figured it out! Searched for the G8X Twrp installer, flashed the ramdisk, flashed Disable DM-Verity&Force Encryption, then just used the twrp file manager to handle what i needed in the directories.
I was under the impression that their was no twrp for g8x.

Yes, operating in twrp you are basically running abd root in terminal and you are system-as-root in the file manager so be careful, back-up prior to any changes. Any apk managers has a hard time with system-as-root permissions in production builds unless your the root master topjohnwu lol

It should work in twrp; unless you have a recovery.from.boot file in your system. I would go to terminal and run # getprop and see what's going on, you may have a ro.prop that's not allowing what you want to change

It will help you find to see if you have a RO "read-only" property and value on your desired item example; I want to set my adb port to 5555 i would run # getprop and look through the property's to find my item and if it says:
$ service.adb.tcp.port=5038
I would change it with:
$ su -c resetprop service.adb.tcp.port=5555
Its all depending on the property and the location in the partition the files are in really in how its modified. What exactly are you trying to do?
