Hey guys I got crdroid working, and after a month of work I got it to work.
Everything so far is working.
Report if you see any problems and upload your logcat file
By the way this is a ported ROM from the Honor 5x, hence you can see the model number there on the screenshot, I will have to take a look at the build prop to fix that.
So to install it here are the steps:
- Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery TWRP)
- Copy GApps and crDroid zip to your internal SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
-Wipe system,data,cache,dalvik cache
- Flash crDroid zip
- Flash GApps zip
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET
- Reboot
By the way its still uploading, and its going to take a while, because my internet is pretty bad at the moment.

I hope this isn't an April fools joke!

THIS IS NOT MY WORK
I found this while perusing VK after following a link from 4pda. I'm stuck at bootloop, but I thought I'd share it anyways.
As far as I can tell, it was ported by Zhenya Konyshev (He posted the link)
The build.prop mentions Linuxoidrus though.
The post on VK has since been taken down, but I saved the link
DO NOT TRY AND USE THIS FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN TESTING AS IT IS ALPHA QUALITY
If you are going to flash it, the usual rules apply
1. Factory Reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik
2. Install Zip
3. Reboot and Test

Hi,
I've got a RN3, snapdragon version, 3GB of RAM. Unlocked bootloader. TWRP 3.0.2-2
I've been using CM for a while, android 6.0.1 and I've been trying now for a few days to move to Nougat.
I've tried different roms: NitrogenOS, lineage OS, resurrectionRemix.
I've also tried flashing different versions os miui firmware: 7.3.16, 7.3.23, 7.3.30
So, after all that, the result is always the same. The flashing seems successful, the phone boots but then I cannot go through the initial setup screen.
I choose the wifi network but when I try to enter the password, the screen resets every 5 seconds or so. I know it's resetting/reloading because the password I've typed so far goes away and I have to start again. It happens every few seconds and I cannot setup wifi properly.
I tried changing the password to aaaaaaaaaa to make it easy and quick to setup. Once I go through that, it stays for ever in the next screen "checking information" (or something like that). Again, it seems to be reloading this screen every few seconds.
is there something am I missing? Maybe I'm flashing firmware/rom in the wrong order?
I'm back with android 6.0.1 now and the phone works fine.
thanks in advance for your help.

so, this is exactly what I've tried a few times.
what about wipes and all that stuff?
I don't mind doing a clean install and reinstalling/reconfiguring everything.
I've tried different things, but for example what is mentioned in the thread "CM13/14/14.1/AOSP N firmware for KENZO/KATE [VoLTE][12.1.2017]"
-Reboot to TWRP recovery
-Flash firmware
-Factory reset (data, cache and dalvik-cache)
-Flash your favorite Marshmallow or Nougat ROM
-Reboot your phone
is that still valid for the nightly builds from April 2017?
On Cm firmwares I was unable to get VoLTE working so recommend you to flash Miui beta firmware search in SD Rom or guide section you'll find em if not message me again .
Regarding procedure :
- First flash Twrp 3.1.1.0 from official site cuz that's latest
- Next go & wipe check everything except SD card & OTG
- Flash Firmware
- Flash Rom
- Flash Gapps Arm *64 Android N from Open apps
- Flash Any Add-ons if required like kernel or Sound enhancement mods ( optional )
- Clean cache/dalvik cache
- Reboot
Mention the Rom you're flashing!

So, I did all that several times, except for flashing the latest twrp version. I'm on 3.0.2-2 because it flashes ok but when rebooting it's back to 3.0.2-2. I'm doing this from fastboot. I'm not only loading, but flushing. It seems to be ok but then it's gone after reboot.
Anyway, I've tried this procedure with 3 different roms:
ResurrectionRemix
LineageOS
Nitrogen OS
flashing latest versions for each rom.
Could the twrp not updating properly have something to do with this issue? does the latest version fix some flashing issues with Nougat?
the thing is that if flashed and boots, but it doesn't run properly as mentioned.
I will try to get latest twrp version working and report back if that makes any difference.

so, still fighting with this.
i managed to upgrade to twrp 3.1.0-1, all good.
however, i still have the same problem with the initial screen, it keeps reloading every few seconds and can't finish the setup or even skip it.
i've tried different versions of firmware. I've also tried flashing the latest miui rom (dev and global) and then a custom rom.
i've tried different builds (different dates) of the following roms:
nitrogenOS
lineageOS
aospextended
mokee
resurrectionremix
exact same behaviour with all these roms.
what am I doing wrong? i'm on marshmallow and everything works fine, but stuck moving to nougat. do I have to flash something not mentioned already to move from custom MM to custom Nougat?

Try this once (Clean) :
Flash Nitrogen
Reboot
Flash gapps and firmware.
Hope it may work for you.
Hey guys,
I'm really unhappy with Oreo at the moment because some apps I really did like seem not to work any longer (at least there's no update yet).
Also Xposed does not run stable... so I'd like to roll back to Andvanced LineageOS 14.1 from LineageOS Extended 15.1.
However, it seems that it's not gonna work... steps I did do:
- Flash Official TWRP from link in first post of Advanced Lineage Thread --> "Unable to find crypto footer" message when trying to wipe data and cache
- Format Data --> Recovery was lost when trying to boot back to recovery
- Flashed modified Treble TWRP version (from Official Lineage OS Thread) --> able to wipe data and cache
- Flashed Advanced Lineage and upon start --> "Encryption unsuccessful" message after entering my SIM PIN.
- Flashed back LineageOS Extended 15.1 --> works.
- Flashed RedWolf Recovery and tried to install Advanced Lineage --> same issue (Encryption unsuccessful)
- Tried to change Filesystem of /data and /system --> no changes
I really don't want to keep Android 8 due to stability lacks and worse battery life than before...
How can I perform the downgrade / roll-back? Do I have to stick with Android 8 now? :crying:
EDIT: Solved it via this thread:

this is not a solution, how can I go back to nougat->oreo->nougat->oreo without problems? I will need to format the data again again AGAIN!!(
I'm not responsible if you brick your device flashing this ROM. FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! Please make a nandroid backup through your custom recovery before flashing this ROM. If you are coming from another AOSP ROM do not dirty flash IT WILL NOT WORK. To restore apps and data use Migrate from the Play Store on your old ROM to back up all your apps and data, and then install Migrate from the Play Store again on Xtended, to restore your apps and data.
To flash this ROM just download the correct zip for your model and then flash the zip through your custom recovery of choice.
Galaxy Note 9:
Mod edit: DL link removed
Gapps: To get the full Gapps experience first flash Open Gapps nano full and then Flame Gapps Full. (They are both missing things but if you flash both of them, while you won't get everything, you'll get everything useful.) Flash them in the order I specified or else things won't work out well. Before flashig gapps first boot your phone once, then reboot to recovery. Then flash gapps and then wipe data. If you don't do this you will boot loop.
