hello,
ive recently flashed stock recovery and stock rom (i was using twrp and cm13). everything went fine, the phone did boot and everything worked, except factory reset.
whenever i chose to reset to factory settings, the phone did reboot into recovery mode with error flash system again. thats what i did.
but now it wont start again, its stuck at the huawei logo.
ive downloaded b121, b330 and b370. flashed boot, system, recovery, cust, cache but its all the same.
does anyone have a idea?
btw, whats with "RECOVERY2.IMG' do i have to flash this one too? (ive tried with and without it, but no difference either)
thanks in advance
Can you boot up to recovery??

ive tried this order: boot, system, recovery.img, cust, cache, userdata
boot, system, recovery.img, recovery2.img, cust, cache, userdata
and finally: boot,system,recovery2.img, cust, cache, userdata
but neither did work. right now ive flashed back to twrp and created a flashable zip file (stock rom) with multi tool and see how that goes.
stock rom is running fine now. how do i go back to stock recovery from here on?
Just flash it.

So I unlocked my phone using pudding to flash the 2.3.5 rom. Then I decided to rdslight back to stock(photon SUN-198_7). I don't know if I needed to flash stock recovery smg but I've tried that but my photon still won't boot past the boot screen. Any other methods?

Try wiping before flashing.
When wiping, make sure you wipe all the cache, davlik cache, and then do a factory reset. After doing all that, then flash the rom.
If that does not work, had you done a nandroid backup before flashing a rom? If so, try reverting to that.
The problem is that when I rds to sbf file photon SUN-198_7 its stuck in a bootloop.

The 2.3.5. Removes recovery. Install boot strap recovery, and use it to flash zip version of romracer cwm.

Are you seeing any messages on the screen when the phone boot loops? Can you RSD and fastboot? Are you getting any failed to boot messages?
I fixed it. Did a fastboot -w to wipe and then proceeded with unlock sbf. Thanks for the input tho.

Hi, i followed this tutorial to root, and wanted to flash this rom.. So i wiped data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, format /system.. and now when i reboot, i'm stuck on the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 boot.. did i bricked my device? I want to flash the rom but i cant get my pc to recognize my device as i have not get past the boot screen :crying: so i cant put the rom in the device and flash the rom from clockwork recovery..... :crying:
Of course its stuck. You wiped everything but did not flash the ROM. *facepalm* Either find a way to sideload the ROM to your tab through adb or reflash to stock using Odin.

No, you should put your ROM zip in your SD card, fullwipe, and flash.

Does a full wipe in CWM Recovery not work on the z2 since the kernel and recovery are together? Like in storage if you wipe /system and /data to fully wipe the phone and then install fresh. Would this just kick you out of recovery, making you have to flash the recovery using fastboot again?
Or does the recovery stay in the memory until a reboot? So that you can install a kernel with recovery again before rebooting?
It works fine

Full wipe won't harm recovery.
You could always make flashable recovery and flash after wipe (before restarting, of course) just to be sure...

I don't think the kernel and recovery are together as such

On most of the sony devices i have played with the recovery is in the Ramdisk ( in the boot.img ) or it can be stored in the FOTA Partition and called upon by the kernel / ramdisk at boot.
a full wipe wont touch either of these.
pvy.
Ok thank you for explaining.
On all of the Android devices if had a full wipe has never wiped recovery.

Early xperias with locked bootloaders and root exploits had recovery in system partition.

If you really are stuck then you probably need to restore the factory image and go from there. You can find a thread to restore your phone. I'm too tired\lazy to find it.
Got it back to stock..will try PAC rom later.

So, this is kinda weird and I don't know what's wrong...
I unlocked the bootloader by enabling the orm stuff in the developer settings and flashing a fastboot rom. Then I unlocked the bootloader and installed TWRP. After that I tried some roms (miui, cyanogenmods), but now I want to use the normal global developer version again. So what I did was reinstalling this rom which worked fine. Then I went back into TWRP to install SuperSU, but then I was unable to boot... Any ideas on how to fix this, or how to avoid the boot processing becoming stuck?
Thanks!

I am also stuck in the same problem with my Redmi 4A. I unlocked the bootloader, installed cofface recovery then installed supersu 2.46 and my phone is stuck on mi logo. I have got this zip file but don't know how to flash it since I cannot start my phone normally so how would I put this zip file in my phone?
