Hi i'm wondering if there's a way to get Xposed framework on my kindle fire hdx 8.9 ?
If there is, could someone point me in the right direction with instructions please.
I downloaded HDxposed from one of the other threads and it totally messed up my system , it was 100% my own fault for not doing more research, that's why i'm asking here, also apologies if this has been covered countless times.
Thanks all

If device is running FireOS I would recommend you avoid installing Xposed Framework. If you have a 3rd gen device you can root and unlock the bootloader which opens the door to several custom ROMs that are Xposed friendly.

Hello all, so i tried to root my new kindle fire 8.9 and i appear to be bricked. I followed the instructions given by this guide: rootkindlefire.com/kindle-fire-root/how-to-root-convert-kindle-fire-hd-8-9-into-pure-android-tablet/#comment-8662
and around step 20 my kindle wouldnt go past the blue logo bootscreen, so i tried to follow the help given in the comments but that did not help either. earlier in the guide he had us create a recovery file and so i thought it would be best if i retried this and so i recovered to the recovery file. That did not help either as i am now stuck at a kindle fire (orange) logo bootscreen and i cannot access TWRP. Any help would be appreciated.
Also another question i have is would i be able to send this back to amazon, as my 1 yr warranty is still valid.
Thank you in advance.
What model do you have, exactly?
The guide is for the HD 8.9, not HDX 8.9 (guessing from the fact that you posted it in this forum).

I do have the HD 8.9 not the HDX, but I could not find the forum for the HD 8.9, I assumed they were relatively the same.

Hi all, I recently purchased a Kindle Fire HDX 7, the price was too good to miss or (to be honest) I'd have bought another device; however I had it in my mind all-along that I'd flash it with another Android rom of some sort. I know by rights I should be scouring the WWW for answers on how to do this (and I have put in more hours than I really have to spare), but I have come up with nothing as the recent Fire OS 13.4.5.1 update seems to nullify Towelroot and Jcase that I found in the downloadable toolkit v.95. The first time I tried Jcase it seemed to work for a few minutes then seemed to undo itself??? I'm no pro with these things and could really use some helpful advice on how I can install a custom rom (preferably Cyanogenmod but am open to options). I hope somebody can help and thanks in advance.
Seeing as you have 4.5.1, there's really nothing you can do in terms of modding.
For now, you're stuck until someone discovers a new exploit.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'll stay hopeful that somebody finds a solution soon.
I had recently purchased a Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 and its been going good so far. I had wanted to download some apps like Imo and Sype and Youtube which do not work or cAnnot be downloaded. So can anyone help me install these apps. I followed a previous guide on XDA and downloaded and followed the steps but it didn't work out. Can anyone help me do this without rooting the tAblet. And if I have to root can anyone post a good guide to follow?
ThAnk you

Try installing 1Mobile market which hosts many of the free apps in the Play store. I know YouTube works; haven't tried IMO and Skype. You'll need to allow apps to be sideloaded in Kindle settings. Make sure you have the authentic version when searching 1Mobile; it will be clearly marked as such. There are lots of shady knockoffs with similar names in 1Mobile.
Rooting is an adventure on HDX tablets with different approaches depending on what firmware level you are currently running. At present the most recent version of Fire OS (14.4.5.3) can not be rooted but earlier versions can with varying degrees of effort/risk. You should probably read through some of the forums/threads first if you opt to go that direction.
Good luck!

FireOS v4 does not play nice with Google apps/services. You will need to unlock the bootloader and install a custom ROM.

This is advanced material - there are no "step by step"...."easy way" guides for those unfamiliar with Android modding. You can look at the attached post for an overview of the procedure. If not confident use the device as-is or sell it.
Recently considered rooting my kindle fire due to amazon no longer supporting it, I want to get lineage as version 14.1 is based on android 7, unfortunately all the guides I have been finding are discontinued and I am a total newbie to all of this, can anyone help me find a good working guide that a simple newbie can follow?
[Thor][Apollo] Unlocking bootloader with any firmware
Hello. At first, I did not invent anything new, just checked some my guess on a other motherboard. All thanks and credits to our great developers. As always, all at your own risk. It does not work on the Fire HDX 8.9 (Saturn)! All steps in this...

This guide is for the 3rd generation HDX 7 and 8.9. The hardware in them is entirely different than the regular HD models.

Easiest way is use 1-click unlock bootloader, it'll install TWRP. The rest of the procedure is easy.
