Hi all, after a great effort and lot of work finally i got cm9 compile from source working in my s7 model 105.
this is a test version it still has many bugs that i'm trying to solve, help is welcome.
I used kernel from jotamj from another forum and i use asturel device files to get it started, asturel files is for the slim so i had to made some changes in the files, thanks to them.
this work on:
my s7 model=105, it may work on 104 and in 106, probably will not work on s7 slim
do not work:
-wifi
-camera
-many other things
how to install:
first do a backup, IMPORTANT , backup first ( in case same thing go wrong)
copy file zip to sdcard
boot on cwm and install zip file
reboot and wait 4 to 5 minutes, if anything goes wrong restore from backup.
version 49 (more stable)
link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c8wvy519w3l6ie1/s7_cm9-hal-49.zip
changes:
display more stable, fix the bug of some times does not display the aplication corretlry, fixed.
virtual keyboard, some times the key do not worked, now fixed.
wifi (still doesnt work, trying to get it to wotk)
version 33 out dated
link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wikecppfewo5f1j/cm9-s7_33-hal.zip
This is my first stable version (it doesnt hang or reboots) but still needs lots of work until is 100% stable and all working.
help is welcome,
install on your device, test what work and what does not, google for solutions on the bugs you find, post solution here, i will aplly it to the next version, that way we can have a cm9 working 100% in very little time
in the case you can post, write a message to me.
to do next:
-wifi ( working on it )
-camera
-correct other bugs
test it

Hi,
Nice work. Do you have a git hub source?..
Hi goodoane, i dont have a github account, i have is a local device tree made after asturel device, with many changes in order to compile for my 105.
I found in a russian forum sameone is postinfgversions of pa for 105, i dont speek russian, i love to take a look at there device files to compare to many and see what i'm doing wrong or see what is missing.
Do you have a device tree for the s7 ? we can compare files and see if we can make a more stable version, working alone is hard and progress is slow.
I'm making changes in my files to see if i get wifi working, until now no sucess.
Any help is welcome.

Download Link2sd (available on Google Play) and in the settings appears an option to define where the apps are going to be installed as default
This is what appears (I have it in Spanish)
Installation aborted
I did the wipe data/factory reset but it doesn't install
well, at least I could install v2

I have being examinating the ROM and I have seen less things in configurations than in Dhinesh´s version, but they are minimun compared to the App2SD. Now I have liberated a lot of memory, THANKS KARTHICK!

Audio not working on S5310
Rom works great on my S5310, I use my phone principally as a modem and for messaging but I recently got a new plan from my provider that gives me 1000 minutes of telephone credit, it was then that I realised that the speaker and microphone are not working, it does vibrate though. Any one know how to fix the audio? or I will just have to wait for a new rom for the S5310. I do use the camera and the CM12/13 versions currently seem to have problems with that.

hmm, looks quite good... but I bet the project will be abandoned long before it comes out... good luck anyway
cool to see this, best of luck
Oh my god thank you so much for trying to develop a custom rom for this phone! It seemed as if no one would ever do it. Keep up the good work!! Will try when its a little bit more stable
hope to see this finished...good luck and good job
will you upgrade this rom in the near future to marshmallow or Android N?
There are some problems with the source of Omnirom 6.0, for the moment i can't compile it.
Whenever it's possible to compile 6.0 i put the rom here
please tell me this vertion is compatible for kirin 620?
Hopefully haky can find a solution for ril but thanks for the work
4G is work?
ril is not working yet . that means the sim is not working so basically no data connection 2g/3g/4g or w/e .

Sent from my ALE-TL00 using XDA-Developers mobile app
My omni still build, but i fix boot issue, so once booted I'll make cyanogen mod, because I know where is problem.
for ril, i written a minimal P8LiteKirinRIL.java script that should show the baseban, will report once moved.
okay im just testing this rom...
Bugs:
- those ones from first post
- unstable system ui (sometimes you can feel some lags)
- the phone can't connect with PC (on my phone i can only connect with debugging)
- baterry menager in settings
- screenshot preview at notifybar
- somewhere the animations are missing
- simcard is not responding
- torch
- sdcard is not responding
What i think is good to add
- dpi changing
- editing notificationbar ( positions of wifi and other)
- sms app (i think the google app is good idea)
- clock changing (like in xperia phones)
- themes? (i know its not CM but i think it a good idea)
- calendar app (the same like sms app)
- root
- clock or calendar app when you tap on clock/calendar in notification bar
it's all what i found & what i change (if i've been a dev but im not)
these are just my observations , so please do not criticize , that forcing something on someone / something
sorry if i wrote post with incorrect word i'm 15 polish boy and i'm still learning

How about custom kernel?
My goal is to provide monthly updated builds with the latest security patches merged based on the sources of @Valera1978 from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-lineageos-14-1-android-7-1-2-nougat-t3706002

For installation instructions please refer to the original thread. I always flash over the last build and wipe cache partition + dalvik cache.

me to, on sm-t580! great! thank's a lot ?
Flashed my SM-T580 today and everything is working great, many thanks to @cschsz! This totally qualifies to become official!
Can confirm, working smoothly on T-580!
It works like a charm with a sm-t580, very stable and bug free rom. If anyone (like me) miss the themes from other roms, I tested swift black theme and it works with no problem at all in substratum legacy mode.
Good job, thanks.
@followmsi: If you like to test the upcoming patches for the next monthly build, you can have a look on the branch "patches" (https://github.com/cschsz/android_kernel_samsung_exynos7870/tree/patches). There I have added 4 new patches, which are looking stable so far.
The CVE-2017-16939 on the other hand seems to make problems with WLAN (still testing branch "CVE-2017-16939")...

Made a test Kernel for Oreo using your latest patches .. all fine !
Thanks a lot !
Installed this ROM yesterday. Everything great so far except I like to have the wifi OFF when the device is asleep. That Wifi->Advanced setting does not appear to work for me. Wifi stays on permanently regardless. Anybody else have this issue?
EDIT: Ignore this... I played around with the setting and it seems to have freed it up somehow. Working ok!
I have to say again: I’m so happy that cschsz is willing to provide further updated builds in the future. I think the SM-T580 and 585 are great devices - especially for the price.
And being able to use LineageOS makes them really great options for anyone who’s looking for a low priced but capable tablet.
my firewall blocks -linux kernel- very often. why? is this really neccesary that this process is calling somwhat?
Just out of curiosity: with 6.0 I have had GPS issues, I. Especially my T580 has heavy problems to find GPS. Does this version has the problem as well?
Camera and Bluetooth working? I'm asking becuz I have seen notes for Linage 15 that this doesn't work. Therfore I'm curious.

1. What is this firewall for Android? Never heard of anything like this.
2. To which address is "linux kernel" trying to connect?
3. Did only the updated build show this or also the original one?

Is GPS really working for you on T585? Does it get a lock in device only mode, for example in the "GPS test" app?
Just as a q: I installed now this ROM and have problems installing Xposed Framework. Namely I dowloaded it and neiter 89 nor 88.2 versions are working. The installer that library libdvm.so was not found.
Any hints how to install the Xposed Framework properly?

- OTA won't work once you root device.
- ROM Tool permission : Files & media - To save and read files, Calendar - Tool needs some time monitoring to avoid using RT immediately after reboot. Special access for accessibility service - Since Android 12 it requires for QS panel custom Toggl e.g. Reboot to recovery

ChangeLog Q01 For N986B
- Based on N986BXXU1ATH3 1Aug security patch
ROM features are same as mention on Post #1
Some Important things to note -
This ROM is tested only on N986B If any N985 users want to test, can try on your own risk. Report outcome and I may try to fix.
TWRP is Included in ROM itself. Credit & Thanks to Geiti for TWRP
This is first version and needs to flash using Odin, subsequent version may have different scenario. Read Installation guide below for details
This is first release, There may be more fix/features there in subsequest releases.
Recommended Installation Steps
Requirement :
- Rooted N986B based on Aug security patch
- It is must to have root using Full AP Magisk + Patched kernel shown on this thread. If you have rooted with only patched kernel then you must first root with full AP magisk patch file + Patched kernel as shown on linked thread.
- Odin 3.14.4 or above

- Open Odin - Disable Auto Reboot in Option
- Click AP tab and navigate to file you have downloaded & extracted N986B_DrKetan_ROM_Q0*.tar.md5

ROM specific Instructions.
Once device boot to android, straightway do following things before setting up device further
Check Magisk Manager is installed. If there, Open it and complete environment setup (Device must be connected to internet) - Reboot. In case Magisk Manager not installed, get latest stable from magisk gut hub and install manually and follow as said.
Open Magisk, settings - enable magisk hide. Also recommended to turn of supersu notification while setting up.
Open ROM Tool - It will ask to Apply Essential Fix, Complete it and Reboot.
Now you can set up your device as per your desire. Enjoy!
Tips, Add On & Fix
- Stuck while flashing something (Bootloop), How can I reboot to download
There is a golden rule that always works when you stuck anywhere (bootloop). Follow this -
1.Plugin device to PC
2.Keep holding power + vol down
3.As soon as screen goes blank, keep holding vol up + vol down (here you needs to be quick)
And you are in download mode.
- EdXposed You can directly install from Magisk download repositories
- Unable to login to samsung ac : I have observed recently in one condition, restoring a backup that includes samsung acc. I have encountered this once and fixed by installing Samsung Members and logged in with that. By using this app, it showing "your session is expired login again" after this it was worked. Another possibility is, few users have reported some version of custom kernel was causing issue with samsung acc.
- Read ROM Tool - Update & Fix if any new available.
Download and other instructions available in post #2
This is a customized ROM and for end users only, ROM or any part of ROM/mods not allowed to redistribute, modify or to use as base to prepare new ROM/ part of other ROM.
