Hi guys!
First of all thxs a lot for everything you have tought me about phones in these years. I really hope you can help me with this one.
I have an Xperia S, locked bootloader, but rooted and with CWM installed by the instructions of this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939875. It worked fine.
I've had tried to flash a rom using the update.zip thing. All process went ok. Now my phone starts in black screen and reboots all time.
No led is shown when connected to wall. No led is shown ever (Still I haven't let the battery die, since it happened last night)
I've tried to flash something but flashtool doesn't recognize the phone any longer (it did before the accident). Neither PC companion. My PC shows in the Device Manager a SEMC HSUSB device for some seconds until phone reboots again and disappears.
I have a hope that if I fix that, I could try to flash some stock rom/kernel or something into the phone... but I haven't been lucky with that.
Any idea how I can relive my phone?
Please help me. Thanks in advance
If u cant remove the battery remove it and reinsert it
Dun try to switch on n try flashing ftf
If its non removable
Force shutdown by pressing volume up + power key till u feel 3 vibrations
Now try flashing ftf using flashtool
I dun think it's a hard brick certainly not possible wid a locked bootloader
It's non removable, so I tried hard reset (volume up + power key until 3 vibrations). Then, I tried to flash. Same thing, phone is not recognized (even if drivers were installed before and was recognized before)

Bro, here is not your forum, here there arent any members with XS, why dont you try opening this thread in XS forum Q&A, that way you will get help from XS users.
hey everyone, sorry for most likely making another thread on the same topic but really wondering. im stuck in "red led flashing while plugged in" mode, not edl since nothing is detected no matter what usb or computer i plug the phone into. anyway around using a deep flash cable or test point method? most likely looking at ordering a deep flash cable but hey if you guys know something i don't then i'd appreciate it

I've heard that xiaomi has locked edl since stable 8.1.
Maybe that's the reason.

Locked EDL???? What does that mean?
I was running Global Stable 8.1.6.0 just a week before, installed Lineage OS, hated the buggy camera, and reverted back to MIUI 8.1.6. And now I officially unlocked my Bootloader. I didn't face any such problem.
I had the same situation ie hard brick...as yours... I borrowed a deep flash cable from my friend which he ordered from alibaba shopping app...it helped flashing the fastboot ROM...follow the instruction for deep flash cable ie plug the USB in the computer while pressing the button then release it after few seconds and it would load USB qdloader 9008 hopefully..then ur ready to flash...this is what I did ....I think I hard bricked because I flashed some firmware that was corrupted I guess..(note I left charging my device for few hours and after flashing I rebooted immediately plugged in for charging )
@Zaccary Does your phone's bootloader has been unlocked?

Ya i officially unlocked my bootloader before hardbricking..I dunno exactly why this happened..may be it relocked.
.do u have any possible reason?because strangely sometimes I had to unlock again using miunlock tool...
Hard brick, yoy need deep flash cable. You can make it yourself or buy it in aliexpress.

Yeah. It's not the case with every phone/rom. But I've seen people complainimg that they can't unlock bootloader because of that.
I would share the link with you, but it's not in English.

Instal twrp from fastboot if you can access fastboot. Then instal rom from twrp.
But, if you can't access fastboot nor edl, then try DFC cable.

Did you use Sp flash tool?, if yes You should tick all except preloader. You will have to wait 5-15mins for the phone to boot up.

This is a warning, I made the mistake of installing TWRP on the BOOT partition to install Magisk.
It will turn off and it will not be able to turn on, the screen will stay black, it is not possible to enter on recovery mode or fastboot. It will begin to vibrate at intervals without being able to turn it off, unless you remove the battery connection.
If you have already made the mistake of flashing the TWRP, in the forum there are some people that charges $ 12-15 for flashing through an authorized Mi account and TeamViewer.
Please, be careful.

As I said above, to stop the vibration you must remove the battery connection. You cannot remove the battery in this phone.
Formatting the boot partition implies not being able to restart. Removing the battery is useless.

I ve disconnected the battery so the vibration stopped. But I can not able to formatting boot, because PC did not recognized my phone anymore. If I hold down volume up button, when reconnect USB cable, PC recognize Redmi6A for about 3 seconds, but then connection lost...I can not flash any partition... Where can I find solution?

No way!
Official service points can help us.
however, they will only do this if you can present the purchase invoice and prove that you have purchased the device in your own country, not from China
....but if you are a very good technician then you can solve the problem.

You have 2 possible options
1. You can wait several days for the battery to die, then connect to a wall charger.
It may boot normally, this is the safest thing to try.
2. Use a blankflash there is one available for XT2061(burton) devices
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/burton/blankflash/
download the blankflash, unzip it and
run the blank-flash.bat
If the blankflash works, the device will reboot, you may need to reflash firmware with fastboot or LMSA

Ok, that's info you should have shared first.
Letting the battery die won't help.
Your only option is blank flash, but no guarantee that it'll work.
