Hello everyone,
- This is my first post here seeking for help
- I'm new to the ROM and Rooting stuff
- I was hoping that after installing a developer rom will fix the wifi issue that I had after upgrading from 3.1 to 3.2 !
- Here is what I did :
1- I've rooted my wifi GTab 10.1 - android 3.2 successfully using Odin.
2- I installed the : [Task650's KMM(ANDROID 3.2!!!)]
3- When I rebooted the device it is stuck on samsung logo with the glowing thing around it.
4- I tried to do a wipe data/ factory reset. "it does the thing but it says before :can't access to '/system/csc/XAB/system/'."
and now it's still stuck on samsung logo for more than an hour !
DID I KILL MY SWEET TABLET ?
plz Help me!
thank you
here is an image of what shows up on the screen when i try to install from a zip file in the sd folder
it looks like that i removed everything somehow :S
you need ClockworkMod recovery to install Task650 Rom
A smart friend of mine fixed it =D

So please share the solution with us. I am in the same situation and i don't know what to do.
he simply installed CWM Recovery which is needed for custom roms. As you can see from the screenshot he posted, he was using stock recovery.

search the forums and your question shall be answered!
I've found my solution that was to use Overcome's recovery...i just think that an answer like "a smart friend of mine fixed it" wont help anyone that enters here in the future.

You can try rooting it using either Gingerbreak or SuperOneClick. The chances of bricking your device using these tools a very minimal make sure you read the instructions for the tool you are going to be using in the threads I have linked (If your going to use SuperOneClick download the file, unzip it to the desktop, connect your phone, make sure USB debugging is checked on, then press root and wait till it completes, when it tell you it is done reboot your phone and you should be all set). Unfortunately, I couldn't find any information about upgrading to ICS or JB for your device. Good luck though
Thanks Sit for your quick reply

To do reverse tethering you need to be rooted and use this app to do it through USB. Sure I can try and give you a detailed explanation for rooting your phone, which method do you intend to use I would go with SuperOneClick I have the most experience using that.

I have tried SuperOneClick with this phone. It does not work. Micromax android phones are usually rooted with UnlockRoot but we need to make the boot.img insecure first. Please help us with obtaining a rom or boot image dump and getting it insecure. If that's done. We can flash it back to the phone and Unlockroot will be able to root it. WE ARE CLOSE!!

Hey guys, I have a little problem I tried to find the solution in other posts, but I didn't found it, so this is my last hope... I hope you can help me.
So I have an Asus Memo Pad HD7, and I rooted it using framaroot 1.9.3, then one day it appeared a firmware actualization in my notification bar, I updated NY android and then after some days I just wanted to check if the unroot option in the framaroot worked, well my mistake it worked to well, after I clicked I rebooted and them the supersu was gone and I had unrooted tablet again, but when I tried to root again it told me it was rooted and then after reboot it wasn't... I can't root it again
The weird part is that recently I made another firmware actualization and supersu appeared magically in my phone, I tried to start it, but it showed an error saying my phone was unrooted... then I uninstalled supersu and tried to root again, but I can't...
Please help!
P.s: I didn't instal any rooms and I already tried factory reset in settings.
P.s.s: The weirdest part is that people say they unrooted to do a firmware update, while I did it with my rooted tablet. And Avast says my device is running in high privilege mode, but Root Checker says it's not.
Please any help will be appreciated!
Without knowing which firmware you are on now, it's not really possible to tell you how to reroot correctly.

My android is 4.2.2, my kernel version 3.4.5 and my model name is ME173X. I can't find the firmware though, the best I found is this: Camera firmware: 80000 and Build Number: ME173X_WW_user_4.2.4.04152_20140714 release-keys.

Recovery + SuperSU zip or custom rooted stock rom will probably be the way to go.

Sorry, I don't have a lot of experience with android devices so, I hate to say it, I'm kind of noob on that. Can you please help me with a tutorial explaining how to do that?
Thank you very much
Framaroot uses a bug to get Root access and root the Device.Maybe the update has been fixed.Try to downgrade your Software and root again.

I don't have the device, so I can't really help directly, but I mean, there's a picture guide with stuff circled that you need to do. If it's too complicated then it would be wise to invest in having a qualified shop or tech to help.

I will try that later, thanks
How is downgrading any easier than the root guide for the current version you're on...?
I think rooting via Fastboot is safer than framaroot.

I provided the link to what you need already. It's on the 2nd post of the thread. It has a step by step with pictures. You need to unlock the bootloader and install the custom recovery so you can install the superuser zip. If you can't follow the picture guide, then you should really enlist the help of someone who does this for a living since this is your only tablet and are very unsure of yourself.

Root Acer liquid z500 HELP!!!
Hello, I will three days trying to rooot the acer z500 without success, someone help ??
I've used all root programs but nothing, I tried but there is not much information, not already know what to do
thank you very much
You need to use SP flashtool for this
device. With that tool you flash recovery.img (cwm recovery) and your phone can be rooted via cwm recovery by flashing supersu.

@Gillion I used iroot and installed supersu that would be the easier way to get root and then you could use mtk droid tools to make a full backup of your rom right after

Hi there,
For all Z500 owners only:
I rooted my acer z500 by first flashing CWM recovery, and then flash supersu (.zip) via the new CWMrecovery
Here's the links to the filez:
recovery.img: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ic6uadwvxf071d8/recovery.img?dl=0
scatter file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qzcnqzlxkzy5wx2/MT6582_Android_scatter.txt?dl=0
supersu: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zv59bw7bj0ygush/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.13.zip?dl=0
Furthermore if you disable zram (from install-recovery.sh) you will gain additional speed.

Why didn't you used my files ? (which is the purpose of this thread BTW)
Using auto generated files made by MK Droid Tool is not bad, but using updated Recoveries is a little better I think (like CWM 6 and the Carliv one)

Hello to all! I recently got an Acer Z500 and im loving it! This is my first MTK phone so maybe its a stupid question but why isn't there a specific section on xda for this phone? Is it because of the MTK SoC, or lack of community? Latter would really surprise me since the phone is practically free(considering hardware specs) where i live!
This method doesn't works with my Z200, my computer doesn't recognize the phone i have already installed the drivers but it's doesnt works at all how can i root my Z200?
Thanks.
