I bought this docomo japanese tablet but it came with version 3.2. Is thee any way to update it safely? I'm new to all this techie stuff. The staff can't/won't help me in Japan because they've stopped selling all Samsung devices.
Also, if I see an update for Samsung p7500, is it the same as sc01d?

Hello everybody!
Just subscribed a contract with Belgacom / Proximus for a GT P7500 3G.
Heard of the just released update to HC 3.2 for this tablet but:
1. Kies, when hooked to the tab says "this product doesn't support firmware update"
2. also, OTA, no firmware update available
Does anybody know something more? Is it a problem due to the fact that this tab might be somehow branded and thus not allowed to get "generic" updates?
Or I just need to do something I don't know? (pretty new of android ... sorry)
Many thanks in advance to anyone can help.
Cheers.

Thanks For Help And Sorry about my bad English
You should ask your carrier. They will be the ones that you get the update from, not Samsung.
Alright guys, I really hope I could get some help here as I'm a total noob when it comes to this stuff and I'm pretty confused reading through the forums, so please your assistance will be highly appreciated..
I bought a Tab 10.1 here in Egypt back in April, though didn't get it from the dealer because it was like $100 more expensive than the place I bought it from, usually this stuff that we get without a warranty are either made for the UAE or Saudi Arabia, so I pretty much assumed that I had a UAE tab, it was on 3.1, I kept checking for updates ever since, it was never updated, not even once, so I looked up the updates on samsung-updates and turns out, the UAE version not only received 3.2, but it's also on 4.0.4 now, so I tried to find out the country of my tab, and to my surprise, it had the letters TGY, which turns out to be Hong Kong :S though even the TGY is on 4.0.4 too.
My question is, has this device been tampered with somehow?
And I don't wanna go into installing custom roms, I just wanna run the original Arabic 4.0.4 on it, how do I do that?
It's a P7500, Android 3.1, baseband P7500XXKI2
Hello Experts,
I have bought a new Galaxy S2 mobile imported from Korea. The vendor says it is unlocked.
I had inserted my local sim and things are working fine.
The Android version currently running is Gingerbread.
I would like to know how can i update the version to JellyBean.
I read lot of articles and youtube videos on rooting the version, but i am confused and afraid.
My major doubts are, since it is from Korea, should i use the some Korean version of Jelly bean itslef to update.
When I connected to Kies, it says, this firmware cannot be update using Kies.
Can someone please help me here.
Ask in the S2 forums, they will help you better. Surely you will able to update your phone downloading the firmware from samfirmware.com to install it using Odin, but as I said, ask in the S2 forums to make sure.
Hello!
You may think this is a newbie question but I haven't found an clear answer to my question:
My gf has an locked Samsung SII Plus - I9105p (locked on Orange - Romania), curently running on Android 4.1.2. It runs very slow so I want to update it to some 4.4.2 found on the internet. Can I do this without sim unlocking the phone, is it gonna work?
*note: the 4.4.2 i'm talking about is not an official Orange - Romania OS. Kies tells me there is no newer version for this phone. Truth is that I heard the Orange team here in my country is very low on human resources so they didn't bother releasing anything new for this phone, and I don't blame them.
Thanks in advance!
Yes, you can update it. I am also using an i9105p locked on orange Romania and i've installed any version of android from 4.1.2 to 5.0.2
