Share wakelocks you block - Nexus 6P General

Hi, I know there are many threads where the OP shows what wakelocks they think you should block but I'm making this thread in the hopes that people can share what works for them and we can experiment and share what wakelocks are safe to block and what affects what good or bad. I'll post a few things that should help you with wakelocks but I'd love for you guys to share what wakelocks you block and for how long.
Thanks to CappyT for making this wakeblock guide. This is just a starter template and many more things can be changed.
- NlpWakeLock -- 600 000ms
- GCoreFlp -- 600 000ms
- RILJ -- 800 000ms
- UrlDispSvcFastWL -- 600 000ms
- CMWakeLock -- 600 000ms
- *net_scheduler* -- 3 600 000ms
- Wakeful StateMachine: GeofencerStateMachine -- 600 000ms
- LocationManagerService -- 600 000ms
- SyncLoopWakeLock -- 600 000ms
- NetworkStats -- 800 000ms

- ULR_BarometerReading_WakeLock -- 600 000ms
- NfcService:mRoutingWakeLock -- 3 600 000ms

Awesome guide man. This thread should help out a lot of people. I'm still not using the app though because I'm rocking DU atm but will definitley try it out.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. The goal of this thread is not for me to basically tell everyone what wakelocks I block and for everyone to do it but for people to share what they do also. With wakeblock I'm currently trying to make a build and apply the patch file with git so I can get wakeblock on DU. If that's something you'd like then be sure to check my thread where I've got some links to wakeblock for pure nexus and Chads uber. More will be on there soon like DU.

I have no clue tbh. I'm just working on the manifest github repository but I'm pretty sure as du is the same rom the wakeblock mod will work on all three...hopefully.

BTW, wakeblock is not going to support 7.1.2 for at least 1-2 weeks

I just read today they got a working app for 7.1.2. Anyway, hope peeps can share what wakeblocks they are blocking on 7.1.2.

Yeah I downloaded the app just now and it says ROM not supported. I'm on cortex 7.1.2

The app might support 7.1.2 but the patch file that needs to be applied to the services.jar file has not been updated to support 7.1.2

Wakeblock does support 7.1.2 but only stock and odexed roms. Until the patch file has been updated for 7.1.2 it won't work on deodexed 7.1.2 roms

Dexopt is Art's dex optimization process. You could disable it, but installing new apps or wiping cache would cause your phone to be super slow

What about UlrDispSvcslowWL?

Nice thread! But how can we know which one would be safe to block and which one not.
Thanks!

What is the changelog from 0.8.0?
Great looking post!
Trying the new version in hopes this works on my D852!
Just picked up a Canadian D852 since I got an amazing deal on it...saw so many ROMs (D850) so I thought I was good...then realized 850 Roms don't work on 852 and my heart dropped.......
Thankfully found this thread, thanks so much. Really looking forward to updates, will send a donation for sure when I can

Cyanogenmod Moto Z - griffin

Any word out for Cyanogenmod for Moto Z?
TWRP Team has showed amazing support already building recovery for it
The Hardware is awesome, would be cool if CM 13 or 14 comes to this phone
I hope but I don't think so.
CM does have very few SD810/20 devices. We have to hope for an unofficial port.
I hope so too, the phone is still new to the market, lets wait until developers get their hands on it
The problem with Z phones is the mods and how easy/hard it will be to support mods in other than stock based mods. But I sure hope that simple mods like the battery mod will work eventually. All depends on the additional needed software. Are the "Moto stuff" downloadable and useable on other roms than stock? Or do other roms need to build the very own support all from scratch?
İ finally built working cm14.1
But so many things are not working
Like
Wifi
Brightness
Simcards
Camera
Mods(are you kidding me!)
And also drains battery so flawlessly
But other things working like:
Bluetooth
Fingerprint
Touch
...
I'm working on it until someone upload official stock firmware 7.1 but this device need more developer and I'm alone on this project
If someone can help me contact me to build more stuffs together
just registered to say i've got most things working (ish) here:
the github url slash motoz-2016/android_device_motorola_griffin (not going to spam a bunch of posts just to submit a link, derp)
only things broken in 14.1 are:
- weird battery life issues (it lasts quite a while, but sometimes certain tasks seem to drain it way down)
- radio doesn't recover if it loses signal (curse you elevators)
- no mods support
- camera (this was working in 14.0 and died when i moved to 14.1)
- generally odd little things.
I havn't had much time recently to work on it (hope to change that soon) but it's been a daily driver of mine for a few weeks.
on the mods side of things, all the kernel support for them is already released on moto's github. it's just a matter of us actually using it (my kernel actually builds the kernel modules but that's not quite enough)
if any devs want to help contribute feel free to contact. (sent you a PM @erfanoabdi)

Yes, sorry, have been busy, I'll post a build from Very late August as currently I have issues with building that I need help resolving. Mainly because LineageOS moved to new kernel configs for the regular S5 and so I need to modify one in with the Sport stuff...
Also I currently took my dad's S5 Sport back to stock so I cannot test myself at the moment. If anyone has a spare S5 Sport for testing, I'd gladly take it to finish this ROM and make it official

To me the biggest issue is the white background though... and since this phone has a AMOLED screen well the benefits of a black theme to me are higher... 1 Eats less battery (turns pixels off), 2 Easier on the eyes, especially in dark places, 3 to me it just looks cool.

I've decided to put up with default theme for a while... CM13 build from other thread was too buggy.
Camera and Flashlight from the pull down notification bar don't work. Got a Substratum Theme to function in Legacy Mode, but it had some bugs.
The built-in root is adb only. I have the file to enable apps you may want to share it. I'll upload it here sometime, also will give you a logcat..
Also I got ViPER Audio working with the IO fix.. Had to set SELinux Permissive to install the drivers.
And lastly, Changing the GPU Governor in Kernel Auduitor causes a reboot.
Here is a zipped Logcat, Bug report, and the SU Addon to add root access for apps.
SU Addon gets flashed in TWRP.
If anyone needs root, then you can find it on the Extras tab of the LineageOS downloads page. I'll try to work on the phone today but my knowledge is not very good still

I'm so glad, we can enjoy so much Oreo ROM's on our LePro 3.
This weekend, I have time to test it (Battery, performance, stability, UI adds etc.) and provide a feedback about it.

Btw, did you test already the charging speed and/or mobile standby consumption?
At RR, LOS and AICP nearly 70-80% of all users got problems with that, me included

I had the drain even when i didn't have Cellular data enabled. But not with this ROM. Will test it for some more days just to make sure.
Some other users report that the Network Standby drain isn't as noticable as in some other ROMs.

Well honestly i don't use the IR and because of that i din't test it. But i can say that the LeEco Remote app isn't pre-installed on this ROM.

Thanks for prividing also the changelog!
Do you maybe now, if there is already a working OTA option for updating?

I don't know if OTA works because OTA is included as a feature you need to unlock by donating something to MoKee comunity so i didn't do that yet and i don't know if it works.

Thank for spread this Rom. Right now I am stand on Nougat (Omni Rom) because some Oreo Rom what I tested have some weird behavior that Don't fit to me. So I am looking forward this Rom development and I gonna try it very soon...

OTA update is working
dear friend, tell me, what frequency does the processor use for large and small cores ?? all firmware do not use all the potential, and I do not want to use kernel and put root or magical, too, I wonder what frequencies? 2100 mhz for small and 2300 for large?

Small cores 1500 and big cores 2100 i think. But i use it 1440 on small and 1900 on big and it runs smooth so at default it should run very well too.

No, 1.6 small and 2.3 for big. You can increase it to 2.1ghz for small, but it's not that way by default. 2.1 has a voltage jump for the small cluster, and I don't think it's worth the minor performance difference.
I don't get it..
I installed yesterday Mokee.
Its very smooth and fast! I activate under battery settings the energy saver.
Yesterday I was 3h outside and my battery drains 17% only.
My SOT was about 1½h.
Tonight, I sleeped without charging it (8h sleep now) and my mobile standby drain is insane, like you can see in attachments.. It went down from 41% --> 29%..
But I will look forward and try to calibrate my battery or maybe someone got a suggestion for it!

[KERNEL] [CLANG 7.0] KingKernel

Close this thread please, pm me if you want a build
Feature updates
I will be adding new features, this list will be updated per release.
GPU Boost
Chill governor (prevent overheating, since it's summer where I am)
Maple I/O sched default
High brightness mode
I'll peruse the features guide and see what else isn't in there
Bug Reporting
If you have any problems with the kernel flashing (not the kernel itself) please reply with your OS version, I will look into what is causing the bug and should have a patch
In the features list it says Maple is set to default, but when I went to look I was CFQ did I do something wrong or has this not been implemented yet ? Also BigChill isn't a choice for a governor, that's a future update correct ?

I put the wrong thing in the defconfig so maple isn't default, chill is not implemented yet, so you're correct
Trying this out on the latest crDroid and Magisk 16.6. So far, nothing evidently is going wrong. I remember a couple of crDroid releases ago crDroid came with the TitanX kernel and I remember that one working really well then, and this King Kernel seems to be an evolution of the TitanX kernel.
Does this kernel implement the same eas as in this kernel-https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/development/kernel-oreo-8-0-exnoshadez-eas-stable-t3709035
Also XDA had an article recently on why the eas implementation makes the pixel so fast......just curious is all.....p.s. the kernel is running great on bootleggers ROM so far and thanks

It means that kingri (by mistake, obviously) is attributing a year worth of my own kernel development (look below at my signature) to someone else (Shag), so i'm clarifying who the dev actually is; me....
my remark was a bit cheeky, intended for kingbri (as we've PM's back n forth on occasions. he knows i'm the dev).

but that's wrong. i'm the dev of the kernel in question; exns-eas... which he knows, but said shag built it... i was being cheeky and clarifying that detail ~ not asking him for credit of any kind or anything like that. (I have nothing to do with his kernel).

No I don't think you understood the original question. And then kingbri answered it wrong. The question was "does this kernel implement the same EAS as (exnoshades kernel), the answer would be Yes. I think kingbri meant that shag implemented EAS on kingkernel. Which means "No, shag built this one".
Just to be clear to everybody, I didn't implement (I'm inexperienced when it comes to kernels) anything. I just simply cherry-picked all of the commits from the EAS-project and bri based his kernel on the branch I made with all of those commits included

I completely forgot that this was your development since I used shag's branch that he allowed me to use as a kernel base, my bad for not crediting you nine, but I do promote off topic discussion, so don't clean this thread mods

all good, dude. I didn't care to begin with! ? just clarified... (and tbh, I wanted to follow your thread, so I commented!)...
but yeah, I thought this looked like shag's tree... much like you and I - shag and I pm/chat sometimes too... pretty sure I pointed EAS Project to him, iirc... Great work that RenderBroken and Joshous are doing...
that's sweet that you've got it up and working though. how has your kernel been working so far?
