Hey guys. I have a problem. Last days a used LineageOS on my Galaxy S7 and had no problems with Greenify. Now i switched to a stock based Rom (7.0) and there i can't turn off the screen with long pressing the home button.
Greenify has root permissions (magisk v12. Same as with lineage) and it is activated as assisstent. Accessibility is turned on, too!
I know greenify gets the command, but nothing happens. Apps don't become hibernated and screen doesn't turn off.
Hope somebody here can help me! (and i hope you understand my english...)

Nobody?
@oasisfeng do you have an idea?

By "it is activated as assisstent" you mean only in "Default applications > Device assistance app"? Because you also need to activate it as a "Device administrator" in "Security > Device administrators".
I did both

Same with me. When Google app is removed it starts working.
I have no Google app

I am using normal, root version of greenify.
Games are hibernated, most of user apps also, but only whatsapp and chrome runs when I turn on wifi.
Please help. Thank you!
Well I found that I should try to turn on greenify in Setting > Accessibility first.
Let's see if it works...

I am facing serious issue that my phone reboots frequently when I press power button to unlock the screen. I had this problem after upgrading to kk4.4.4. I thought it will be resolved in the new update. But now in lollipop also am facing the issue. Now my device is not rooted and only installed WhatsApp, Facebook, telegram, clash of clans and XDA. Stock recovery with lollipop 5.0.2
Rebooting is more in lollipop than KitKat. Is it software problem or hardware problem?
Please help.

Lol doing so will be useless and a good feelings killer, this is a hardware issue, hence it can be seen in kitkat and lollipop and also will be seen in all future updates.
I used to face the same issue as you.
The fix:
Settings -> Security -> Uncheck "Power button instantly locks"
Set Automatically lock to - 5 seconds after sleep.
I tried it already. But no use...

You could try reflashing stock ROM and try using the stock launcher instead of Nova launcher or any other custom launchers and check if the reboots persists.
I have stock ROM and recovery. Had installed google launcher and removed it. No luck.

Hi !
I would like to know what is the delay for auto-hibernating ? I greenified some apps and when the screen is off, it seems that they can stay many hours without being hibernated... I checked my wakelocks and I saw nothing which can let then device awaken.
Thanks for your help !

Are you rooted?
In what mode are you using Greenify, "Unrooted", "Root" or "Boost"?
Do you have Greenify ticked in DEVICE>SETTINGS>Accessibility and DEVICE>SETTINGS>Device Administrator?

Yes, I'm rooted and I'm using the "Boost" mode (and v2.6.2). Greenify is ticked in both menu (Accessibility and Device Administrator). It's something really strange...

Did Greenify ask for root access at any time? Change the mode to "Root" and try to manually hibernate some system app. It should ask you for access. Grant it. Then if necessary, change the mode to "Boost" and watch if apps are hibernated.
Check in Supersu whether Greenify is listed.
I use my v10 to cast Netflix on my TV. If the phone goes to sleep, chromecast loses connection but the show still plays on the TV. (play and pause controls go missing from the notification center unless I reconnect by pressing the chromecast icon on the top of the Netflix app) anyone else experiencing this?

If you are on Marshmallow, try disabling Netflix doze.
Settings - Battery - Battery usage - Ignore Optimizations - select Netflix
That was my first thought. I already have done that

I have the same issue. I haven't had time to trouble shoot though.

Same Issue
I have the exact same issue. Also assumed it was the doze function, but still see it after disabling Netflix doze. Has anyone been able to com up with a solution, this is so annoying!
Mine does this too. Surprisingly the other day I used Netflix on chromecast but without my wifi on, on my v10. I didn't know that could be done, but apparently it can. And it didn't lose the connection.

hi there...
yesterday I manually updated my opx to oxygen 3.1.3.
everything went fine.
but facing problem with app permission.
for example:
when I try to upload an image on facebook, it asks for
"media access permission."
clicking "allow" on the pop up,,,another note pops out....asking to
" turn off the screen overlay "
but from last night to till now, I couldn't find any way to do this.
any suggestion would be a great help for me.
Regards...

Go in the app permission menu and change it.
youy could , int all apps menu, reset all apps prefs. (tops right 3dots menu)
You can try to uninstall / reinstall app too.

That happens when something is obstruction your screen, fundamentally, closing chat-heads, and swiping away Heads-up should do the job. Did you try that ?
Also, disable any screen filter apps like Darker, Blue Light Filter etc.
If still it don't work then go into settings of that app, and manually grant all permissions to it.

The 3 dots menu at the top right of tha Apps menu, resettings prefs. Do that again.
Reboot in safe mode (Press power, then long press on switch off on the screen. Will be proposed).
Go into apps that doesn't work to see if it's ok
dGo to Settings>apps then click on the settings icon besides the 3 dot menu..then go to draw over other apps and deny permissions to all the apps. Then you can go and manually give permissions to your apps. After that grant permission to draw over other apps to all the apps !!

Turn off overlay feature and it will be working fine
I'm currently running CM13 nightlies. Has anyone jumped over to the new OOS update, and is it worth switching to it? Thanks in advance!
