So recently i rooted my Samsung Galaxy j7 (boost mobile).... After trying numerous multi window root apps not working, I saw a vid on YouTube on how to get the Samsung multi window feature on the j7. This required to edit the build prop so I did to be greeted with a boost mobile logo that stays for about 20 min then finally boots to the lock screen to only have it restart about 7 seconds after. I tried creating shortcuts with es file explorer to try to change back the build prop within the 7 seconds but i don't have enough time. I tried using adb to fix this but I don't have enough time to use adb either. It won't boot into recovery either.... Can you guys please help me out or try to help me out of this hole I dug myself into? Thanks guys. Good day

Hi everybody,
I am new in the forum and new to android.
I need some help please…
I installed the I5500LUYJPL firmware on my Samsung GT-I5500 using
“Odin v4.28 & Ops File” following the instructions I found in the forum and all went perfect. After I downloaded few apps from android market. I have set the display to go off after 30 sec and I have set a password to lock the phone.. After couple days every approx. 10 min the display comes on asking the password to unlock the phone.
I don’t know if it’s a kind of interference of any of the apps I’ve downloaded.
Any suggestion please?
Thanks in advance guys.
Hey man its your settings i had the same issue its because you have the password active the only work around that i found for it was to to use a lock screan replacement app. By the way in running dashblacks froYo based rom.
I have had friends with cm 7 on the device but their lock screan actually rebooted the device. If this happens i would suggest re flashing as this seems to correct this issue aswell.

Hello.
I'm using GT-I9100 Resurrection Remix JB v3.1.3 on my Galaxy S2.
In the last couple of days the battery would overheat and die quickly because of drmserver that kept running for a long time. No idea why since I was offline and I never watch movies etc in any case.
I blocked it from startup with Gemini App Manager and all was well (the battery cooled down and would recharge quickly again) until I rebooted.
Now I'm getting stuck on the Resurrection animation boot logo. It seems it can't start up the interface.
Reinstalling Resurrection (I still had the installer in the phone) didn't change anything. It went through optimizing the apps and then hung again with the continuous boot logo animation.
Is there a way to enable all blocked programs again in the recovery console?
Would deleting the init.d folder take care of it or would I cause more havoc?
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

Resolved.
I let it boot up till it hung at the boot logo and used adb to access it.
To keep it short, the culprit was 'fused location' (com.android.location.fused) that I had disabled.
I tried to enable it with 'adb shell pm' a few times, got 'killed' messages instead of 'enabled', but during these tries, it finished the boot.
I rebooted the phone and it was back to normal.
Thanks.

Hi All
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100G) for over 2 years UNROOTED , yesterday, I rooted it and all went successfully and smoothly in a way I didn't believe that I done it  , but unfortunately I tried to change my System theme , boot animation and installed one of themes offered by "ROM Toolbox Lite" app , then it prompts me to reboot in order for the changes to take place, I done.
The Problem, when it reboots it didn't change any of the boot animation, and when I swipe the screen in (Swipe the screen to unlock) window It freezes and reboots again and again.
One of the solutions I've tried is to Unroot my mobile phone and all went successfully but the problem remains the same! Couldn't enter my home screen to remove the theme , moreover, I tried to wipe system/factory data, to return to main factory settings and nothing changes! , to make matters worse , I wiped the cache partition , when I reboot the phone I got an error message saying :
"App (COMANDROIDUI) stopped unexpectedly . Please try again later", I tabbed on "Force close" then the status bar vanishes and phone freezes for 4 seconds and reboots again :crying: , btw, it shows to me the screen of green android avatar which means that it successfully reset to default factory settings, I didn't flash any custom ROM or made any changes to kernel or firmware.
Now I couldn't open my phone any more :crying:
Any one help me pleaaase , U could assume am a noob
Thanks in advance

Hi, If this thread is in the wrong forum, please move it.
I have a rooted Xperia Neo V (2.3.4 gingerbread). I started to do some changes to build.prop. I mistakenly changed the SDK version to 16 (although the original was 10 I think) and restarted. upon restarting,Google play and SuperUser crashed. I tried to launch some other apps but they crashed too. I could install ICS apps but they crashed as well.. only some small apps work including the stock apps. Now I can't reverse the change because whenever I open build.prop editor, it asks for root but SU crashes denying it..I tried factory reset,Unrooting and rooting again but same problem..I tried adb pull/push and successfully got the file but I can't send it back because the system is read/write protected or something...to change the read/write thing I need Su permission which I already can't get..I tried installing CWM recovery but now when the phone reboots a blue light flashes for some time and if I press a button(e.g volume down) the phone is stuck there until I take the battery out.The phone only boots up successfully If I don't touch it while it is booting up.
I have a backup of build.prop that I made with Romtoolbox.
What should I do now? Need some help.
Bump?
Help is needed Guys!
