#Bug_Report alpha1
@nels83
*Bug report
P5210 version has a bug that the elapse of time that you are using some APP or do some action the following message appears on the screen, appears more for me when I'm using many after simultaneously. This bug is present in the gallery too, when you take a picture/video
Print below
Good job nels!
Bug
I got this bug when i try to set some image to wallpaper on home and lock screen the picture gets zoomed in at landscape orientation. I guess it is ok when tablet is used in portrait mode, but i have tried everything to set it to fit on landscape display because i always use my tablet this way. Does anyone else have this bug? Everything else works perfect .
Here too!

@nels83 Hi! Found new bugs Lineage OS 14.1 Alpha 1
1. When the tablet is charging in powered off state it displays two charge indicators.
2. Pinch scaling is working very slowly.
3. When you hold the Home button it does not display the list of running apps.
Dirty flashed this new rom, running amazing for many hours. After restart it stuck at boot logo. The same behavior after clean flash. Is it just me?

Don't worry. because bootanimation gone.
@nels83 Hi! Could you please build kernel with Binfmt_misc support?
binfmt_misc is a capability of the Linux kernel which allows arbitrary executable file formats to be recognized and passed to certain user space applications, such as emulators and virtual machines.
When Nels says "First start takes a long time" he is not kidding. I did a complete wipe and clean flash including the internal SD0 and used GApps Pico. The Galaxy flash screen literally flashes at a rate of maybe once / minute and I counted at least 12 flashes even before the boot animation screen with the goofy Lineage octopus (or is it a giardia) started and even that takes quite a bit of time. I think that boot animation was some kind of April Fool's joke actually. Second boot took just as long as the first. Just be patient and go pour yourself a drink and don't touch it. Pleasantly surprised that every one of the pile of basic apps that I installed to get started worked out of the box without Houdini as I was expecting this to be a big problem. I'll update after I have used it for a few days. Thank you Nels.

There is currently a bug with HW video decoding/encoding: you can't have both. By default, the ROM provides HW video encoding but partial HW video decoding.
If you want full HW video decoding, you can flash hw_decode.zip (you will however loose HW video encoding). Fixed in alpha 11.
A bug appeared in Alpha 13 causing voice calls (in P5200) to be muted. It will be fixed in Beta 2. In the meantime, you can flash audio_test3.zip after flashing the ROM. Fixed in beta 2.

Hi! Glad to see a new thread by you!
Just some Thoughts - in "/common-overlay/frameworks/base/core/res/res/xml/power_profile.xml"
Code:
<item name="battery.capacity">2100</item>
maybe 4000?
and
<array name="cpu.speeds">
max value for us is 16000000 and min value is 800000 i think like this:
<array name="cpu.speeds">
<value>800000</value>
<value>933000</value>
<value>1200000</value>
<value>1333000</value>
<value>1600000</value>
</array>
And for Intel platform we need 2 more files: thermal_throttle_config.xml
thermal_sensor_config.xml but i dunno how correctly it will be used by CM frameworks...
P.S. for open\close reaction on case we can try add <bool name="config_lidControlsSleep">true</bool>
Just flashed Alpha1 built for P5200 and camera works now
thx nels83

I don't think so. This would require CyanogenMod changes (if it is even possible).
Thank you for this great ROM.
Is it possible to make the magnetic Sensors work? If i open or close my Bookcover the Display doesn't turn on or off.

I noticed some bugs concerning fonts, it may be related.

These two are hard to try for me as I don't have a P5200 device (but I will investigate). Maybe @Angel_666 could take a look ?

This function is not included in CyanogenMod (afaik). You can try to calibrate the magnetic sensor and install Magnetic Lock from the Play Store.
Flashed this afternoon and I am loving it so far. Can really tell it's been liberated from TW as performance is vastly superior. Haven't really encountered new bugs or anything. Did try to mess with the magnetic lock apps but with zero success. Is it even possible to bake functionality like this into CM?
Thank you so much for putting this together!! Has breathed a lot of new life into this aging device.
I had honestly given up on the tab 3 10.1 haha (as is obvious by lack of pimpdroid updates), I was about a day away from selling it. Good work my friend
Its really awsome to see something new here i will flash it as soon as i get home.
If you need someone to do some testing just ask me since i have a 5200.
EDIT: goddamn thats smooth. its like a whole new tablet
Thrilled
This is just amazing! I've been looking in the development thread almost every day this year. From the start of April it's been less often and I almost most hope.
So imagine my surprise and joy! It's like a brand newer tablet! Thanks :good:

Unofficial CyanogenMod 13.0 for Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, ...
* You flash this at your own risks
*/
About CM
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.
Important information
You need a recent TWRP version to flash this ROM.
Installation
First time installing, coming from another ROM or upgrading from alpha < 4
Copy ROM to SDCard
Copy Houdini to SDCard
Copy GApps to SDCard
Boot into recovery
Backup EFS partition
Wipe -> Advanced Wipe -> Dalvik Cache + System + Cache + Data
Install ROM
Install Houdini
Install GApps
Reboot
First start takes a long time
Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 13.0 (alpha >= 4)
Copy ROM to SDCard
Boot into recovery
Install ROM
Reboot
[OPTIONAL] Converting filesystem to F2FS (thanks @michiil)
The ROM has F2FS support. You may want to use it instead of the default (EXT4).
This will delete ALL files/data from your tab.
What you will need: A working PC and a working USB cable.
Install the most recent Recovery
Download the most recent Recovery from the second post. Flash the zip file in recovery. Back in the main menu press Reboot > Recovery
Format Data and Cache to F2FS
Wipe > choose Cache > repair or change file system > change file system > F2FS > Swipe to Confirm
Go back and repeat the same steps with Data. I got some error messages when formatting Data but they don't seem to be a problem.
Back in the main menu press Reboot > Recovery
Install Rom + Houdini + Gapps
Connect your tab to your PC and copy the zip files on the tab.
Flash the files, reboot and enjoy :good:
How to get back to EXT4
You will again loose all files/data on the tab.
Just repeat Step 2 but use EXT4 instead of F2FS.

How to help
When something is not working correctly, in addition to common informations, I may ask you to provide logs. There are different kind of logs and it's not always easy to get all of them. For this, you can use SysLog (available on F-Droid or Google Play).
Fixed in version 2.1.0 There is currently a bug in the app. Download it from AndroidFileHost. Use this patch if you want to compile it yourself:
Make sure to root device before using this app.
To get the logs:
Start SysLog
Click on 'TAKE LOG'
Once log is taken, SysLog will try to share the resulting file, just cancel
Send me the file /sdcard/SysLog/[YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm]/[YYYY-MM-DD_HH.mm].zip
If you left 'Scrub potentially personal information from the logs' checked, you should be safe.

Download TWRP, opengapps, houdini and the rom (corresponding to your device)
Backup all your data (pictures, music etc.) and apps (preferably with apps like titanium backup) to your PC
put the zips from above onto your sd card (if you don't have one, use the internal storage)
boot into recovery of your tab
wipe /system, /cache, /data, dalvik cache and (if you don't have important data like the zips on there) the internal storage
flash the files in the following order:
TWRP (then restart your device into recovery)
ROM
Houdini
Gapps
if you want to do it: reformat /cache and /data now with f2fs
reboot into system
connect your device to the pc again and get your backed up files and apps
reinstall apps through the play store and if you want to: get their data back with Titanium Backup
Done.
EDIT:
it's nice that CM13 is out and that Houdini is working
though I'm going to wait for RIL support before I update
How complicated is it to fix/How long will it take (min)? (if you can say that)

Not possible to Upgrade without loosing all Apps (and there Settings)?
sorry, I won't guarantuee you that anything is working if you leave the data partition and don't format it
even though it might be nice to keep the data
it's safer to backup your the data and apps that you need and then start fresh
and usually it's not even that much of a hassle (you just need to get used to it)
Nels says at the top:
if you come from an earlier version of cm13 then it's possible
but if you come from another rom (cm12) you need to wipe data
@nels83 I just noticed, your changelog link still points to the cm 12 branch (only a copy&paste issue of course so no big deal)

FAQ
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. This ROM is scheduled to build every Thursday at 8 AM GMT. The download becomes available 1 to 5 hours later. If the build fails then you have to wait until the week after.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter using them.
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports while using it as Xposed can cause a lot of bugs.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. Xposed is not yet available for nougat, however when it is ready you will need to use the version arm sdk 25.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post..
Q. What TWRP versions are supported?
A. ShevT's. Check out this thread for the TWRP download.
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes if you're on Official builds.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds on top of old (working) ones?
A. Flash the ROM zip only (no gapps, don't wipe data).
Q. Will this work on Kitkat bootloader?
A. Read the install instructions.
Using the ROM:
Q. How do I enable software buttons?
A. Settings->Buttons.
Q. How do I change my Menu button to a Recents/AppSwitcher button?
A. Settings->Buttons.
Q. Do I need to provide a log if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a log.
Q. How do I get a logcat, and what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog

Helping the developers
You may have noticed there's 2 versions of this app, one ad-free for donators and one with ads.
You can help us by clicking ads you're interested in for the free version, or purchasing the donator version!
We will use the money generated by this app as common money for the developers of the team. It will be used to pay for our web-hosting (we own a gerrit server and a domain name, exynos5420.com). It will also be used to buy a new device if one of ours breaks.
Translating the App
You can also help us by translating the app to your language:
1. You can start by looking at the full english language file: Link
2. Then compare it to your unfinished language file. You can find it here, under values-xx/strings.xml, xx being your language abbreviation.
3. You can then fill-in the missing strings in your language file. Here's an example of what a proper update looks like.
4. Then you can submit your translation by using our gerrit. If you don't know how to use gerrit, just PM the translation to your favorite developer and he'll get it merged!
Thanks for working on CM 14. You will make it compatible with LP Bootloader or you are still on KK Bootloader? Because with the LP and M AOSP roms we had to stay on KK Bootloader to avoid sound, spen and reboot issues.

It currently works on top of the CM13 device specific code so it's probably best to use KK bootloader. Making it compatible with LP bootloader is difficult and not a top priority at the moment
The Rom is working in lp Bootloader, unfortunately not so well. Where can I get the kitkat Bootloader?

I don't have issues with google apps. Try flashing KK bootloader like this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...cial-build-t2980604/post65631142#post65631142
Regardless, a more stable build is coming in the next few days, with better compatibility for exynos

Wow, the Rom is now very smooth, only with the standard gapps there are many fc and you cant sign in a google account.
Great work so far, excited for the stable build! No crash on gapps for me , everything felt pretty quick for an early build.

The new Note 10.1 is completly different from the Old one, so you are in the wrong thread. Don't expect too much, the n8000 is a very Old device.
New build
cm-14.0-20160915-UNOFFICIAL-n1awifi.zip
Fixed:
Audio
Video rendering (in Youtube and such)
Settings app now has cyanogenmod stuff (don't expect the settings to work) (root works)
New build
cm-14.0-20160916-UNOFFICIAL-n1awifi.zip
Fixed:
GPS (with help from @deadman96385)
Links are dead?
Edit, nevermind. Being dumb.
Few things I've run across.
1) Cannot add a second Google account.
2) Status bar battery settings don't take. Tried adding percentage next to portrait icon but won't display.
And FYI, root is baked in. Trying to use SuperSU ended in a boot loop.

1) 2) will be fixed by Cyanogenmod in the coming weeks, all I can do about that is wait until they update their code to support Nougat
Yes root is already baked into the developer options

Running the 32-bit version for 580 without problems.
Will test clean install again .. in the next days.
If you install Magisk it may boot two times at first start .. looks like bootlooping.
En la T585 ni 32 ni 64 funcionan, se queda en negro en la pantalla de bienvenida. Sorry no write english

Works fine if i factory reset but if I reinstall magisk zip again it gets the black screen again on first boot. Only way to fix is factory reset again and i lose all my installed apps. Any ideas?

Pls use version Magisk 17.2.
Good luck !
EDIT:
You can always restore boot.img (unzip ROM) and either skip Magisk or use older/newer Magisk version.
This way you don't loose any data!
For me 17.2 works fine.
That is the version i am using

Thanks for job. Mobile data working in this build? Who know?
If i reboot it gets the black screen even without magisk installed. Not sure why this is happening.
Updated to latest version ( flash zip/wipe) without problems on t580.
Microsoft remote desktop app is starting now (used to force close) but when i connect to my laptop app closes, binance app used to force close as well but is running now! Keep up the good work!
Is auto rotate still messed? Last version auto rotate screen would turned black for a second then was normal and can you remove Google bar from home..things like this drive me up the wall. Still on RR 6.2.1 no reason to update.
Reset it 3 more times and it finally started working, not sure what was wrong. Also is the notifications being misaligned a lineage bug or can this be fixed in a future update.
Otherwise good work
I was getting this too until I wiped it a few times more and it suddenly worked (only system and data)
After a few tries, the following worked for me:
Wipe all; install Linage 16 32bit and opengapps 32bit; after booting System reboot and install Magisk 17.2; wipe Davlik/Cache an boot System

Just wait for RR Pie version
As I said several times, if someone starts to build the current version of the lineage that I do, I completely close the project.
In May, I closed the port, based on 10 android and now the time to completely close all work on exynos7870. There was only one reason why I didn't do it earlier - I promised to fix the sound during calls in the LTE version. Now all done, I dont have any desire and motivation to do anything for the exynos7870.
This decision is final, I switched now to the work on note pro 12.2 wifi variant, my smart home and think about starting tab s6.
Thanks to everyone who has been with me all these years, I will see you on other projects.
I'm not responsible for any damage to your device of any sort.
By flashing this you take responsibility of anything that happens.
Process at your own risk!
If you want to check firmware - please make backup.
Instructions
1. Install latest TWRP
2. Download the zip(s) - firmware and Google Apps additional package (optional)
3. Backup all partitions (it least efs) and store somewhere - it need to do - because you can loose imei
4. Full wipe all
5. Flash firmware and gapps
Work
almost all

Finally, I finished the first version of the new android q.
Initially I thought it would be an easy walk. But google in the new version made a huge amount of changes. And I spend about weeks to made something working.
I rebuild the config, wrote a library with sensors from scratch, there were big problems with wifi and sound. For the sound, I had to build a 32bit version to get the missing libraries.
hello how r u?
thx for your great works,
i always try your roms and you are the best
please is there any bugs for t585 before i try it?
and can u tell me how can i backup all of my phone with internal storage like norton ghost on windows pc?
can u tell me your telegram channel?
Hi, thanks for your great work.
I have installed and tested. For now this I have found:
- Magisk 19.3 and 19.4 do not work. Do not start the rom after installation.
- The battery percentage cannot be displayed in the status bar.
Seems to work GREAT on the 580, the only problem i have is I cant use the home button to wake the tablet. I've tried to configure the buttons in setting but it doesn't work. Only the power button will wake it....

Same here thanks for rom Valera
When my T580 boots, I get a message saying there is an internal error and to contact the manufacturer. I just ignore it and everything seems to work ok. That and the battery % are the only two nits I've come across so far.

I have that fault also with SM-T580 and in the Xiaomi Mi A1. It is a fault of Lineage. Just ignore it.
Clash Royale and Brawl Stars work great. The tablet is very fluid.
Great rom, first custom rome redirects the music via usb to my external dac without
extra app!!! Thanks for your great work Valera1978!
Thanks Valera
It works much smoother than stock and earlier aosp.
In addition to what the colleagues mentioned, it happens to me that in Google Chrome I open two tabs and restart the tablet
On the other hand with Firefox in a quick test of several tabs this did not happen.
Thank you for your spectacular work.
Thanks for the Android 10. Fast rom but some random reboot.
This rom look awsome, i will flash it when i will be able to unlock my tablet with the home button
Reboots
Updated to the 09/28 version. Have a problem with the tablet rebooting. I'm trying to use AZ Recorder to record streams from Tubi TV. Start AZ and then Chrome and try to load the Tubi site and the tablet reboots. Did the same thing on the earlier version.
New version 20190929. Hope random reboots now gone away. Was done set of fixes.
Checking few hrs, no any reboots.
Magisk 19.3 and 19.4 unsupported

My primary phone is xiaomi mi9 - more then month I'm on android q and magisk 19.3 working great here.
I'll back to check magisk soon, I need root too.

I thought Android 10 you need the Magisk 19.5, still canary builds so might have some issues.
