Here i wish to know the pros and cnos of these 3 roms over each other. Which performance is best? Which rom battery backup is best? Which roms stability is best? Which rom is most featurefull? Which rom is least featured? Which rom is least buggy?
PE/Nos/RR
I HAD TRIED ALL OF THREE ROMS ON MY RN3.
IF YOU REALLY WANTED TO TRY CUSTOM ROM ON YOUR RN3 I PERSONALLY SUGGEST YOU TO USE RR.
REASON :
GOOD STABILIZATION
GOOD BATTERY BACKUP
GREAT CUSTOMIZATION
EASY TO USE
WORKING ALL FUNCTIONALITY
HIGHER BENCHMARKS THEN OTHER CUSTOM ROMS
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO USE PE OR Nos ITS GOOD ROMS BUT IN MY OPINION I PREFER RR.
Find a rom with hardware-specific optimizations. Like the one from MOVZX
If you have the 3/32 version, Use RR(cause why not, good customization and great stability)
In RR charging LED not work...also no advance qs tiles (one touch)...otherwise RR is best..

Honestly, the charging LED is the only thing bothering me right now.
i can report that led is working fine on PE with latest franco's kernel for oreo roms and on stock NOS.i had no problems and major bugs on them whatsoever.
All apps are getting crashed altogether, randomly on PE
I'm currently on PE
Is it true nougat has better Performance and Battery then Oreo? If yes, is NitrogenOS or DotOS better, and is Radon or Agni better?
Currently oreo sources aren't stable. That's why oreo has less performance & battery than nogut. For the best experience try AEX nogut version.
Regarding kernel agni is better for battery & everyday use. For performance & gaming radon is better. But i think the dev has abandoned radon project. It has not been updated for a long time.
In my experience, oreo is much faster than nougat but the battery is simply terrible. Mainly caused by mobile standby drain

Thanks, im so happy.
AEX has an Anututu Score of 105k compared to NitrogenOS 104k, and has updates from April im choose it over NOS.
Most of the Oreo ROMs aren't based on new device trees so they contain lots of issues and bugs switch to aex 4.6
Up to now there are so many good Oreo custom roms, so i wonder which has the best battery performance. Thx.
i've used omnirom, lineage, crdroid, aex. those are good enough for use everyday. but i feel lineage is more stable than other else.

If its screen on time you are looking at with minimal idle drain, AEX 5.5. If you need some customization as well, don't look any further. AEX is the best as of now.
I've tried lots of Pie roms and most, if not all of them have very poor screen-on time, just about 5-6 hours. While on MIUI 9.5 - Android 7.1, I managed to get about 9 hours of SoT. Same usage: surfing the internet with Chrome, using Facebook and Messenger.
Which Pie rom has the best battery life at the momment? I use Pie because of its good compability with google camera and night sight mode, so I cannot use Android 7.1.
I'm using Havoc 2.7.
Pie ROMs I've tried: MIUI 10 EU Pie, MIUIPro 10 Pie, Havoc, RR, DotOS, DotOS Extended, crDroid, PE, PEX (PornAOSP), XenonHD, AEX, Decendants, Syberia, Oneplus 5T Port.
Thanks in advance.
Battery life depends mostly on kernel. I suggest you use a lightweight ROM that has less features and latest Dark Ages 4.9 kernel. For further battery tweaks, search for "KenVerse" channel on Telegram.
Use VIMB for performance and Dark Ages for Balance performance:good:.
Hey,
I made a mistake earlier this year and lost my keys so my phone lost a lot of features and is pretty damn unstable (I regularly lose access to the fingerprint sensor for example), I want to try a ROM that is overall stable, fast, good battery life ...etc.
I tried OMNI last year and it was okay, but I haven't had the time nor the will to go through the flashing process with Pie only to find most of the things broken and go back to where I started. Also, a working camera is important to me.
TL;DR I'm looking for a stable/usable CUSTOM ROM to use as a DAILY DRIVER on my X Dual.
i have a X DUAL and i test all rom but this rom perfect with dual sim already active

Reading through the description and the comments, it seems to be missing the ability to install GCam as well as crashing with bluetooth and aux!
I've used Cyanogen/Lineage back in the day and I don't have anything to say about the ROM, but it seems that Xperia devices are destined for the garbage after they stop receiving the updates since every ROM is struggling with something on them.
I'll go through the most popular ROMs to help you decide based on your needs. Apart from Stock all these are 9.0 ROMs.
Stock (or stock-based ROMs like Existenz): Stable, all function works like you would expect. Great balance between performance and battery. If it hadn't been for Android 8 and the lack of customizations I would have stayed.
Omni, Paranoid, AOSP: Decent stability and battery life, but very poor performance due to bad kernel optimizations. Gcam fully works.
Lineage 16 by Chippa_a: Decent stability and battery life, but has some minor issues with Bluetooth and stuff. Light gaming is fine, but heavier games will run badly due to horrible CPU throttling. Included camera app is decent, but Gcam does not work at all and simply crashes. If you just want a stable Android 9 with near-stock experience then I recommend this one.
Treble GSIs with Pavel's Kernel: Has the best customizability because of GSIs and stuff. Crashes quite often. Unmatched on gaming, but battery life is horrible and you pretty much need to underclock the CPU on anything outside it. Gcam partially works. No NFC, RAW10 and offline charging.
Treble GSIs with modified AOSP Kernel: Same customizability with the above option. Also crashes quite often. Slightly worse gaming performance than stock, and battery life is also below average, but not at a horrible level. Gcam, NFC and offline charging fully works. Currently my daily driver, with Lineage 16 GSI by AndyYan.
lol paranoid android 7.1.2 is legendary

Thank you SO much for the effort, mate! Unfortunately, I need most of the things that are broken and don't need a much customization. I'd love me some 9.0 or even 10.0 but oh well, you can't have everything.
I'll stick with stock for now, run the phone until it breaks and say goodbye to Sony's phones.
Once again, thank you for your help, and thanks everyone.

I just flashed clean PA 7.3.1 and set kernel to performance in kernel auditor app this rom now is f*****g dope! Battery life is really legendary, performance in daily use is great there's no comparison with lineageos 15.1/16 (but anyway thanks to chippa for his work).
Also i flashed magisk selinux manager and set kernel to permissive so apps like Viper4Android, DriveDroid etc work flawlessly.
Xposed works too. What can i say everything is great only camera quallity is worse than on stock but not much worse. I think that PA nougat is the final rom on my X.
heres link: http://paranoidandroid.co/downloads/suzu
I also flashed oreo PA but its freeze on splash screen.

On PA gcam is not working and performance is way better than on latest lineageos or treble.

If you noticed, I only went through the Pie ROMs. Sure, you'll get better options by going back to Nougat/Oreo, but for all the missing features and compromised stability I'd rather stay in stock.

How about fingerprint, does it works?
I personally will use Lineage OS 16..Because Lineage OS is a kinda light if you compare it with stock roms.. Try to give it a shot maybe

Also, it worries just like it is supposed to and rubs on stock kernel, because of this, it delivers more performance.
