You might be using MIUI stable 8.0.4.0 in which it does not have that functionality.

hey. You just have to use pinch or zoom out on the notification to expand it. It's not as confortable as in other cases since you have to use 2 fingers, but u have the posibility

Hi,
as far as i know notifications now depends on version of miui.
Global Developer roms running A7 have new notification shade that looks more like aosp. You can try it.
China roms have the old one (xioami.eu roms and miuios.cz roms are based on China so there is still old system.
Or there was an app in store called Material Notification shade, or something like that, that can help.
I've noticed that Icons flickering/blinking when I exit an app by pressing back "<" or with "gesture back" has the same result. For example I open Settings and I press the "<" back button to go out, the Settings icon is blinking. Anyone else noticed this visual bug? If so please confirm here: http://en.miui.com/thread-4527763-1-1.html .
Yes that is noticable

Press confirm in the miui thread then. If more people confirms, the thread has more chances for the devs to take a look.

True. Strangely, when I was on miui 10 stable, I didn't notice it. But after trying miui eu pie (faced on miui eu Oreo as well), I see the flickering on icon. Anyway, I use Nova launcher. So, I don't care about it much.

There is no "Confirm" button on miui forum. Do you mean "Favorite" button?
Edited: My bad! I wasn't logged in. Sorry for that. Anyway, I have confirmed.
Update: Here is a weird observation. I have just switched from NOS to stock rom due to battery bug. So, I first flashed stock miui 9 (9.6.25.0) rom through MiFlash tool and selected device theme as "Limitless". Then I got an OTA notification for miui 10 and updated the device. Now I don't see any icon flickering issue. Whenever I leave an app, the icon animates beautifully just like when I bought the device and updated to miui 10 for the first time (long before I unlocked the bootloader and started flashing custom ROMs). And I remember the last time I flashed miui 10 fastboot rom through MiFlash tool while switching from LOS, I had the icon flickering issue. So I suggest you flash miui 9 first and select device theme as Limitless. Then update to miui 10 as an OTA. I am not sure why did it happen, but this is what happened to me.
N.B. The reason I mentioned flashing miui rom through MiFlash tool twice, is because whenever I switch a custom ROM, I start from the scratch which is first flashing the stock ROM (without locking the bootloader)>Flash twrp>Flash rom etc. I know this is time consuming and not at all necessary, but I do this for a peace of mind.
Hello xda-people!
I have just one simple question.
I bought this phone like 2 months ago and sold it like a week later, because I couldnt handle not showing notifications because of the notch.
It was like "show for 3 secs and then show the clock again"
I kinda hated that, although I think the phone is just good for 260€.
My question now:
Is that fixed? If so, how's it now?
P.S.
I want to stay on MIUI, since I really like it.
Thanks!
EDIT:
Touch issues and stuff like that still persistent?
Any other issues?
Still not fixed, another feature brought to you by the flagship of compromises.
Never settle bro
Not as of now, but seems they do plan to make it better. Just note that I'm using a notification mod and it works so well. You can check xda for the link and steps if you still plan to purchase the phone again

Same here thats why im using miui with notification mod and touch issues hone with custom kernels..
Forget it!
Suggest u to buy Lenovo z5 pro gt.
2. Notification dismissed from status bar, expect to keep notification showing in status bar
As the space in status bar is limited for POCO and POCOPHONE, after testing with a group of beta users we picked below 2 solutions:
Keep AM/PM status and a notification indicator when there are unread notifications;
Remove AM/PM status so we could put more notification icons in status bar
Feel free to share us your preference.

Hi all:
2 days ago I bough a MI 8 lite. I really like the cell phone but I have a problem that I hope you guys can help me with.
Is there any way I can give each app a different notification sound? I can only turn on and off notification per app but there is no way to pick a different notification sound per app.
I am in MIUI Global 10.3.1.0 Stable.
I cannot believe this is not possible. My really old phone with android 6 was able to do it...
Is there and app I could use for fixing this?
Is this fixed in a custom ROM?
Thx
P.
P.D. I also had the notifications magically hiding themselves from the notification bar. I installed Notch notification for MIUI from the playstore and at least I was able to fix this issue..

Try xiaomi.eu, there you can set notification sound per app and since version 9.5.23 notification icons are shown all the time.

Thanks for the reply. I'll read then and learn how to install it.

I just seen few people saying that miui 11 for poco has removed navigation bar, its just all just gesture now. Is this true?? Also, if they did removed it, did they added ability to swipe righ/left to trigger one handed mode even in full screen gestures?? You would help me decide whether or not to update, if you could answer this. And sorry, for any mistakes i might have unwilling made. Thanks
I'm on latest miui 11 stable 11.0.5(poco f1) the nav bar is still here, not many changes from miui 10.
