Rooted og D1 with XP now I have W7 and getting a little lost. Getting a Java path not found, I followed the steps to put the correct path in and it still comes up with the same warning. I am trying to get this up to speed to root my TB and I would greatly appreciate any help or suggestions. Thanks
Did you also install Java?
Yes I did, it is saying Java not found in your path:
It says to got into Environmental Variables and enter
C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_24\bin\java.exe
I did this and rebooted and still nothing.
I have double checked and the correct Java is installed.
Hi everyone, I am trying to unlock my bootloader on my Galaxy Note 2 following the guide listed on here but I am having issues when trying to open the jar file to perform the exploit. When I attempt to open the .jar file with Java Runtime Environment it errors right away saying Error: Invalid or Corrupt jarfile and this happens both on a Windows XP machine I have and Windows 7 64-bit machine. I have tried turning off antivirus and firewalls to turn all security off but still get the same error. I have downloaded the file multiple times with no luck. I tried searching but can't find anyone that has run into this error before. Has anyone ever seen this or can point me in the right direction so I can get my bootloader unlocked? Thanks
Did u extract the file?
Even if I try to extract the files I get an error that comes up saying that the file is corrupted? I've downloaded it multiple times so have a hard time believing its corrupted unless the file on the server is having issues?
I used the first method to 'jailbreak'/Unlock bc I hadn't installed the OTA. I had a problem with the SuckITVerizon file, I extracted and tried to load it into Odin but kept saying 'invalid' until I just loaded the RAR file then worked like a charm.
I know my problem was diff but maybe if could help somehow? I would try to update your Java then download the file from a different computer and transfer it over. If nothing else works then try the whole process on another computer.
Have you posted the problem in the unlock thread you are using?

I've seen this problem on a lot of threads. Also experienced it as well. Tried to run Casual on both a 64 bit Win8 and 64 bit Win7 machines. Went to my 32 bit Win7 laptop and had no problem. So you may want to try that.

If you are using 64 bit OS make sure you have the 64 bit Java installed and not the 32 bit version

I'm also a damn failure at unlocking, but from what i've picked up in all the things i've read, XP won't work.. You need 7,8, or MAC from the sound of it.
I downloded the java jdk and android sdk on a windows xp laptop. everything went right until i ran the sdk manager or, i believe the avd manager and i get an error that say's failed to execute tools/android.bat:error the system cannot find the file specified. Need help with this ive been at it some time now i took a break and now im back at it again and looking to solve this promblem so i can develop applications. Thank You
Did you try a clean install?
This file should be located in <ANDROID-SDK>/tools/android.bat.
I'm trying to patchrom using Ubuntu and when I try to run a command I'm getting a device offline error. It recognizes my phone when I type the lsusb command. I've read various things on this. I've updated my SDK. Before the update I did get errors about adb not being installed when I did install SDK, don't get that anymore so I know its installed. I'm using 64bit and I also ran the command to install the 32bit adb because there is none for 64bit. Did get a error running that command but it replaced it with another lib and it still was offline. Used a different USB port that didn't recognize it either. Even switched the option of camera to SD card once it mounted and it's still giving that error. I also know about the RSA and the security that came with 4.2.2. Did the changes with that and still the same. Does anyone know what else is there to do.
