I recently installed L-Call and it never worked correctly so I then installed the Lollipop call app which they're basically clones of each other. They are to change the incoming call screen to that of the Lollipop OS. I received a call this morning and my systemui just crashed. I un-installed first the Lollipop call app and then L-Call and yet every time I make or receive a call I can take the call but have to reboot the phone after the call every single time. Does anyone have any clue on how to restore my systemui during phone calls to how it was prior to these apps?
I am on a rooted Note 3 running 4.4.2. Thanks.

Two days ago I stopped receiving text messages. I found that I can send them out and they'll arrive on friends' phones, but I simply can't receive them. I can however receive MMS and phone calls. I had this problem once in the past while on the same rom I'm using now, and a simple restart fixed it. Not the case now Does anyone know a fix for this besides wiping data?? I already tried booting up my sim on a different phone but I got nothing.
I'm using Carbon Rom with android v4.2.2
I used to have the same issue and decided to reflash my ROM and reinstall apps one by one and my phone stopped having this issue but now is back. The issue is that whenever my screen is off and I receive a call my phone rings for a second and then it stops, when I go check who called there's no notification or log about the call. Anybody having this issue. I know it must be a app issue but have no idea which app.
The only app I have installed that could mess with it is GravityBox but I looked trough all the settings, disabled it and uninstalled it and it still does the same problem. But I am pretty sure it has something to do with it.
I also looked into the Call Forwarding option and disabled it but it still does he same thing. This is driving me nuts. I can only receive calls or see whos calling by having my screen on!
I was updating my HTC one google play edition and got a error message (android bot died). I managed to restart my phone and now my dialer and messenger are not working. It takes a long time to launch the dialer and making a call also takes a long time (10-20s). When it is finally dialing, I hear no dial tone or ringing. When I hang up, it gets stuck on the Hanging up screen for a long time, up to a minute sometimes. When I received a call and answer, I can't hear anything.
The messenger is also wrecked. Launching the messenger just closes it almost instantly. I tried a factory reset and the problem persist. I can't even make a phone call. I search through the net and found some similar problems back in Dec 2014 but I have no idea how to fix this one. There are other weird things after the update; sometimes I will get utterly no signal from T-mobile in places I know I have LTE. Sometimes restarting or switching the mobile on/off will get me back on the LTE.
I have not root the phone or did any modifications.

It maybe shows 1 but the other calls that I know I received do not show a notification nor in the call logs. I only know I got the call after receiving a voicemail. This happens after installing any custom rom as well. The call that came through was a number on my contacts list idk if that is relevant. I am asking for the precise things I need to do to get call notifications to work i.e. defaults and such things. The only way I can get call notifications to work for all calls is to go back to stock, and as soon as I would install a launcher boom 99% calls I do not get notified.

This is an continuation to the problem to try and figure out a fix. The solved bit was not correct I just went back to stock.

Update: I set app permissions, default app settings and phone manager notifications to whatever launcher I use and that still doesn't fix the problem. I have tried what is mentioned in other threads as the above without success which is why this thread was created. I'm not sure if my phone is somehow "notification bricked" after installing an launcher.
S5 G900T currently on rooted stock MM.
I've had this problem for about a week. I can't receive phone calls, but outgoing calls always work. Incoming SMS/MMS don't come through and outgoing SMS/MMS are really unreliable or delayed up to 12 hours. Problem goes away for 2-3 hours if I reboot the phone.
I was on Lineage, but switched back to stock for troubleshooting this problem. I flashed TWRP and installed SuperSU, and restored minimal user apps with Titanium Backup. Didn't restore any system data.
I'm on Family Mobile (T-Mobile MVNO). Tech support had me do ##21#, then turn the phone off and on. They say the phone is provisioned and everything looks fine on their end.
