I have lineage os android 7.1.1 on my galaxy core prime ve(sm-g361h) and installed snapchat and cant login plz what can i do .
Are you rooted? If so, that's what's stopping you.
A root error will tell you that your login failed. If it doesn't say it failed, then something else is the problem. I suggest using Magisk for root since you can hide superuser from being detected.

Is it a connection problem? What error is snapchat giving?
If it's connection, make sure you have internet access allowed for snapchat or something (do you have a firewall?)
From my memory of trying to login to snapchat and the whole root issue was it failed at the verifying device phase. You could also download a safetynet checker app from Google Play to see if you're passing safetynet to help ensure everything is playing nicely.
you could always login on another device then restore it onto your main device.
You will have to use a rom that doesnt have root by default. You then have log in and then flash the root. Mind you that you won't be able to log in on any other device without refreshing from scratch.

well that sucks, because my rom comes default with root. i knew it was about root and once all apps was done downloading i unrooted with supersu and snapchat still didn't work. i hope there will be a way around this.
Not sure if anyone is still having issues with the snapchat log in, but i was able to make it work by using this method.
For some reason, I had no issues logging in with my old Galaxy S4, which is rooted.
So
1. I used Titanium Backup and made a backup of the Snapchat app and settings.
2. copied them to an sd card.
3. inserted the sd card into my current Note 4 unlocked, rooted, running LineageOS 14.1.
4. restored the Snapchat backup on the Note 4.
5. Opened the app and was already logged in and have since updated the app and still all is good.
I have not logged out, so I don't know if that will prevent me from logging back in. I keep a copy of that backup on my sd card just incase.
Hope this might work for others that may still be trying.
Thank you
You're amazing

Just for anyone who may still need this: Use magisk or another application which can hide root from certain apps, and if you have exposed installed (or EdExposed) just go to settings and you will find a toggle to bypass SafetyNet restrictions
Then you should be able to use snap like normal...

I was debating on whether or not this was a device-specific issue or just snapchat being a poopy app, but I think I saw Giga mention this in the thread about Tigerhoods' TWRP backup so I'm inclined to believe this is a z3v-specific issue.
Well, either way, I can't get past login on Snapchat, on my rooted 5.1.1 z3v. Did the whole nine yards-- un/reinstall, remove app data, even went so far as factory resetting, all to no avail. Password is correct cause I've reset it to something I remember... Anyone know why this could be happening, and is there a fix for it? Thanks in advance.
(I'm running Tigerhoods' flashable, haven't gone up to the build with the messages fix yet. If that fixes it, I'm about to look like a massive dummy... But it wouldn't hurt to be sure, right?)
It's a security thing with Snapchat, the same with how Android Pay doesn't work. If it involves money, then the devs don't want the risk of rooting to be an issue for customers in having some hacking crisis.
I don't even know why Snapchat went that way, but I haven't been able to use Snapchat for months. It's also backwards too being an issue on the Z3v since my brother's HTC One M8 is rooted and bootloader unlocked, but can use Snapchat perfectly fine.
Do you have xposed installed? If so uninstall it then login to snapchat. Reinstall xposed..

Just the installer or the whole framework itself?
I'd like to make sure this actually works instead of being just a throwaway answer because reinstalling xposed to no avail would be really aggravating considering what I've done to try and fix this so far...

Just use the zip to uninstall the framework in recovery, wipe cache, reboot, install snapchat, login. Once you are logged in you can go back into recovery and flash xposed framework. You don't have to remove any of your apps for xposed. It worked for me. It also worked with android pay.

No problem
The problem is actually about google play services. If you disable the permissions of google play services app, snapchat won't work.
Sounds simple, and it probably is, but could someone walk me through the uninstallation process? The "uninstall" button in the app is gray (can't click it) and I can't find the zip mentioned.
Also, would all of this have something to do why the snapchat beta can't be accessed?

Get the appropriate unistaller zip from here
Flash it, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot, login to SC, once logged in, reboot back to recovery and flash xposed framework zip again, wipe cache & dalvik, reboot.
Everything should be fine.
Remember, if you log out from SC , you'll have to do all this again.
Its Xposed. It wont let you login if you have it. You need to uninstall xposed framework and installer and then install snapchat and login. Then just make a titanium backup. If you switch ROMs, you can just install it without any issues.
Also what worked for me is to take a backup of Snapchat in Titanium Backup with it's data (when you're logged in) and then when you restore from TB with data on a rooted phone and/or with xposed you should be logged in when you open it. Not sure if they will work this out, but has worked for me for a while (didn't even realise Snapchat had blocked xposed and root for months after they did it because of this).
So avoids all this uninstall / reinstall of xposed and saves you time
I did the same technique with android pay, but yea, no dice. Has anyone else been able to get this feature back? Kinda ironic with the 2gb deal Verizon has going right now...

Okay I've flashed cm13 rom on my Redmi Note 3 Pro along with SuperSU and Lazyflasher (this was my first time doing this) and now when I attempt to login to snapchat it says temporarily failed but it keeps repeating the same error. Now, casper works fine but I would like to have the ability to access normal snapchat if I choose to. Anyone have any advice or fixes?
I just installed xposed framework not long after this if that information is relevant. So, it was still producing an error even though I did not have xposed installed.
Same problem
Although i uninstalled
Xposed
Xposed framework
Snapchat and downloaded it from play store

If you've not tried xposed uninstaller.zip thn flash it with recovery *(even if you don't have xposed)* , rebbot, Clear snapchat app data, Force stop it. And try logging in again.
You have to disable Xposed then login into snapchat then enable Xposed
I just had the same problem but I have never ever installed xposed on my phone before only casper.
Is there any way to log into snapchat without unrooting my phone?

Hi all, my SM-G9280 still cannot log into Snapchat. I've rooted the phone (since it doesn't come with Google Play Services). The android vers is 6.0.1 and Baseband is G9280ZCU2BPK1.
My phone is Chinese so it does not come with Google Play Services, and I have to root to get it.
I've tried :
1) RootCloak + Cydia Substrate. Doesn't work for some reason.
2) Xposed + Root Cloak. Installing the xposed framework crashes my phone and causes a bootloop. Recoverable by flashing the stock ROM and resetting phone though.
(EDIT: Xposed + Root Cloak does work now, I've added Snapchat to the list of root-hide apps, but it still does not allow me to log into Snapchat.)
3) Unrooting and Rerooting. Unrooting removes Google Play Services along with the root and Snapchat does not work if Google Play Services is not present.
I would try Titanium Backup with Snapchat except I don't have a second android device avaliable.
Is there any other solutions that I can do to log into Snapchat?
Can someone help me? Please?
Bump, can someone please help me?
Bumped again... Please someone help me with this issue.
First off why would removing root remove Google play services? This is not how this works. From the looks of it you have a china based device that didn't come with Google stuff installed. Take care of that first. Then root after.
Yeah, I have to root in order to get Google stuff.
As far as I know for my device there is no way to get Google Play Services other than rooting.

Well then I would root get the Google stuff and unroot. As they are not connected you should be able to pull it off.
I tried that. But as soon as I unroot Google Play Services dissapears and when I unroot using SuperSU it causes a bootloop, which is solvable by flashing the custom ROM,
So that doesn't work. Or am I doing something wrong with the unrooting process?

You are doing something wrong along the way. If you have a custom rom then you should have a custom recovery as well. At That point all you have to do is flash the rom and a gapps package. Dont flash any root apps. If they are built into the rom then that may be a bit harder to deal with.
I don't have a custom rom...
The way I got Google Play Services and Google Play to work is I rooted, then used a third-party app (Not OpenGApps) to install Google Play Services, the framework, and everything else.
I still have my stock rom, it's just rooted and has google play services that's all.
The fix is easy. Just grab another phone that is rooted but without Xposed Framework, you install SC and login. After login do a backup of the app with Titanium backup then move the backup to you Note 5/Galaxy s6+ and do a restore of the app's data (data has log in token). That's all ?
Now, if you don't own another phone then you have have to install stock ROM, then log in to your SC using the stock ROM without any modding (rooting) yet. After login root the phone and do a backup with Titanium backup. You can restore your Login data anytime after doing the backup. That's all.
I think that the problem with the log in may be because of the Knox counter in the ROM being triggered. Hope it's works for you. I use this exact method to fix the log in issue.

Read the OP.
I don't have another phone to do Titanium Backup.
When I install Stock ROM, Google Play Services and Framework is not installed therefore Snapchat doesn't work.
Would clearing EVERYTHING, then flashing Stock ROM, then getting OpenGApps help? Because if so then I can do that except i do not know how to setup OpenGApps...
Okay, so I got TWRP then flashed TWRP, then got OpenGApps to get Google Play Services.
I then unrooted but it took away Google Play Services and everything as well. I can't login to Snapchat.
Am I still doing something wrong here?
Bump, posted this on a couple of other forums and no one has replied with a solution
Someone help solve please
Bump.
Bump, I've been able to somehow install Xposed and root cloak. I've added Snapchat to the list to hide the root from the app, but it still won't let me log in.

Nope
I've posted this in several other forums and no one has helped me, or at least provided a solution.
I use a Galaxy S7 flat(about 2/3 years old). It is running Stock OS 8.0 Oreo and it is ROOTED with Magisk latest version.
Just yesterday this weird problem started where whenever I open the Camera app or any camera using app (ex. Instagram Stories) it either freezes or doesn't load. Not only this but YouTube doesn't load and it started at the same time as the other problem. I tried everything you can do (uninstall, cache, reboot , data).
eventually I decided to format my phone COMPLETELY so I formated it using TWRP and rooted it again. I started installing my usual apps and at first everything was working so I just kept restoring things. Now the problem started AGAIN out of nowhere. Exactly the same.
What I've used root for is basically removing bloatware and using Titanium Backup, Lucky Patcher, Buildprop (to use Samsung Health). On Magisk I also installed a Cloudflare DNS and IOS emoji module.
I also installed Youtube Vanced but I don't think it caused the problem because I just installed it and didn't have it before formating. Also I should mention that I can use YouTube on Chrome. Any help would be appreciated since I literaly can't use my phone regularly.
Thank you.

If you use L***P*** you must expect problems but also that nobody is willing to support.
Apparently, my bank updated the app with a new feature that doesn't let me access it anymore, it says that the operating system is not supported, i use a custom rom(AEX) in my Redmi 4x, i believe that the rom is the problem, the root is being hidden with MagiskHide and i have no problems with SafetyNet, maybe i can change some parameter in build.prop to make it work? i did something similar to try to run Fortnite in my phone a while ago, any ideas on what parameters may be relevant to that?
It's a brazilian bank(Banco Inter)
Need Solution for this Problem as Well
I have the same problem.
The new app version 8.4.6 is not working while up till version 8.4.5 it was working just fine.
Their support is absolutely clueless on how to help, but as @Levyks said, apparently they are blocking custom roms now.
Is it possible to make the custom rom look as an original rom from manufacturer?
Same problem.
I'm with the same problem...
IMHO has nothing to do with fact whether it's a Custom ROM or a Stock ROM. Any app ( banking apps included ) easily can find out whether present Android OS got tampered or not.
Same problem any help? Can't use my bank app... WhatsApp also can detect I have a custom ROM, any solution?

Many apps like banking / payment apps today detect whether Android is got rooted or not: it's an easy for them to do so.
Same problem here in Lineage OS 18.1. My non-rooted device pass safetynet and CTS by default. But many Banking application had started detecting that I am using custom rom and don't open at all. Then I rooted my device with magisk and enabled 'magisk hide' but no success.
Hi! A solution that worked for me: use the renaming function in Magisk (you can find it in the Settings).
I had the same problem on a Redmi 4X, LOS 16, no working banking app even with Magisk hide. After renaming Magisk, I was able to log in and use it as intended. Also I left Magisk hide turned on.
My guess is that these kind of apps are looking specially for Magisk, and if it's detected, they just won't let you use them.
