Strange things happen.
Yesterday i flashed the Concept Rom (7.1.2) over the Posion Rom, and flashed Magisk in TWRP, everything fine.
Yesterday evening, i ****ed up my system somehow, and i did a clean flash with the Concept Rom.
I realized that the Rom isnt rooted, flashed Poison, did a factory reset (to hopefully geht the su binary), flashed the Concept Rom, and then Magisk.
And now Magisk tells me, that 'my' root isnt fully compatible with Magisk (and Magiskhide), and im not using MagiskSU.
I think i did it the wrong way, flashing Magisk only with Concept Rom doesnt work (cant remember the error), so whats the right way to use Magisk on my X?
the concept rom is rooted. I tested it yesterday. if you want to use magisk please unroot by unroot function in supersu
Did you cleanup supersu before flashing magisk?

the only problem I had is "CTS profile mismatch"
I can magiskhide everything, root is OK, but... fail safetynet check
tried almost all custom rom here in xda, even I try magisk v12 patched for sony device. but failed
if you can enlighten me and everybody here, I would appreciate it big time :good::good::good:

I'm on poison, which includes root. I have magisk manager and although the safety net fails, magisk hide works fine with snapchat.

hi guys
i recently bought a moto x (3 days now before i had nexus then iphone then switch back to android again) and check out all thread here and there to root android 6 mm and all i got is a systemless root and it's not what i wanted so i modified stock android 6 kernel (EU version XT1572) to get full system root . (with this tutorial from Chainfire (first post))
simple way to get root :
1. systemless root : you can flash latest BETA-SuperSU form here and you don't need any kernel or anything like that just a twrp recovery ( you can find out how to flash it if you don't know )
2. full system root (traditional root) : just flash my kernel in fastboot and install stable SuperSU v2.65
Warning !!!!
if you don't know about fastboot adb flash recovery root ... don't use it it's not for newbie .
if you okay with systemless root so ignore this thread .
I am not responsible for any damage on your phone so be careful
nandroid backup is always welcome so if something wrong you can restore only system and boot and your back where you are before .
enjoy
sry for my en.
special thanks to :
Chainfire

Nice work!
Thankssss <3 was looking for this for ages. Once i get my moto back i will test this imediatly ?

Got the same problem seems like the root mode in the dev options is not working. I flashed SuperSu and it's recognised by Root checker. If TWRP asks you to root the device before booting, do NOT swipe to install

Of course I would! But I'm still on 20150220 as I was planning to skip the current version so I did not patch the newest boot.img yet. If there is demand I can still do it though.

I mean is there any possible way to root this device? I tried flashing SuperSU, didn't work. Then I tried flashing the systemmode SuperSU, got stuck in the bootloader warning text. I also tried some pre rooted Roms from the forum.. and they just won't boot. What am I missing here..??

I didn't. I had no clue what it was. I just flash recovery n install the SuperSU file with it on other phones.
Now I'll try rooting it once the nougat arrives.

Nougat could introduce more issues (e.g. Xposed doesn't work with Nougat as of today... Magisk & SuperSU... who knows?) but in theory steps should be the same...
More: this is unknown to most (and I don't have a clear explanation for it... only some hypothesis...) but even TWRP could have issues...
On another phone I've found (only one time to be honest... ) that an updated firmware required an updated TWRP to have it working (older one simply doesn't booted anymore even if reflashed...)

I don't like OTAs at all... I'll prefer going with flashing full images by fastboot (if stock images) or TWRP (if custom ROMs or zip flashable version of stock images...).
They are safer and cleaner than OTAs...

Are you able to restore all the changes you made to /system, to successfully install the next OTA-update?
Or you just reflash the whole stock image before the next ota?

As I said elsewhere, I don't like OTAs at all...
Probably it could be possible to restore all as stock from my backups, but I will surely update (when I'll decide to...) using fastload or TWRP (depending of image formats...) as you said...
I recently rooted my device using this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/how-to/guide-root-using-magisk-stock-recovery-t3718203
The guy who posted it says that since we keep the stock recovery we can safely install OTA updates without any problems but he doesn't mention how. Is there a way to install OTA without getting bootlooped or bricked and of course without wiping everything? Also, Flashfire doesn't work on my phone (it kicks me out after loading). Besides I've heard that it can really mess up your device. Just please help out here because I really want to keep my phone updated without losing my data.
Thx in advance

You have to redo the root process as described in my guide ! ^^
You just don't need to unlock the bootloader as it is already done.
BTW, which Magisk version are you using as I have to update my guide since the release of Magiskv24.3 ?
The root process won't change only everything related with magiskv24.3...
If Zygist is enabled all RIRU modules won't work anymore and will be disabled !
With Zygist enabled you will have to install LSPosed-zygist module with SafetyNet Fix 2.2.1...

will the data be reset?
For future reference, you do not have to wipe your data when updating your phone. Simply acquire the update files, either from Samsung Smart Switch or the internet. Copy the AP file to your phone, patch it with Magisk. Then with Odin, flash from the update, the BL file, the magisk patched AP file, CP if you have one and the Home CSC file, as this will retain your data compared to plain CSC which will wipe it
