Hi all,
Since updating to 7.1.1 my phone is no longer recognized by the PC.
Has anyone else had this issue?
I have tried restarting both devices and have even factory reset the phone.

Hello everyone, as the topic name states, my galaxy s3 refuses to connect to kies.
The first time i attempted to connect it to the PC through USB cable kies told me, that my phone is locked and I need to enter unlock pattern, I did so, but nothing happened, connecting was shown for indefinite amount of time. So i disconnected the phone from usb manually. Restarted pc, fired up kies again and tried to connect the phone. Now every time I connect the phone kies simply shows connecting for a very long time without any errors, and on phone when its connected to the pc I get 'Connected as media device/or service - dont remember' notification. Whats my problem, and how do i fix that. Oh, and I'm running WinXP

Try installing these drivers https://www.dropbox.com/s/fm9b12xy3r0t07b/SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones.zip. After installation reboot the pc and reconnect the phone with Kies. It should be good now.

Small update of what has already been done to no avail.
Manually reinstalling samsung usb drivers
Connection troubleshoot from the tools menu in kies
Wiping cache on the phone
Ticking and unticking usb debug option in on of the setting submenus
Attempted to enable usb tethering...
As a side note, myphoneexplorer works perfectly fine. But it ends with that.

My Nexus 5 connects to then immediately disconnects. This happens with any computer I try it with. It will then not recognize or be recognized by any other computer, or charger until you restart the phone.
I can't connect the phone to the computer to unroot it for me to apply the OTA update.
My laptop is able to recognize my Nexus 7. It is also still able to recognizes as a Nexus 5 for the second that it connects.
Any ideas as to what's going on, and how I can solve this? I have no idea where else to pose the question.
I've done several factory resets, both in the menu and in fastboot. I've also erased the cache from fastboot.
I was able to connect to any computer just fine before I updated to 5.0. That's when this issue started.
I've tried several different computers and OS's, they all have the same result. It's not the drivers. Regardless of if there are any drivers on the PC, it will still show up for a second, then immediately disconnect and the phone doesn't respond to any further connections/charging until restart.
Help. When I try to connect a smart phone (Huawei G510 4.1.1) to the computer, nothing happens, the computer does not have any notice, in My Computer has a new icon. On the phone is switched on only charge the battery, there is no option as they appeared before you connect them via USB. On computer instaled a Hisuite which also does not recognize the phone. Hi guys. i really need for your help. I just bought Honor 5x today. After i reached home i tried to connect the device with PC. At the beginning i transferred files that I downloaded from phone to PC and its going fine. Later, i once again want to transfer few songs to the device. When it connected i accidentally choose charge only and after that whenever i connected the device to the PC it just charging without any prompt to choose MTP or USB even after I reboot PC and device. FYI my device os running on 5.0.1 lollipop and my PC is running on win 7. Thank you in advance guys

Yes but after i accidentally chose charging only, there is no notification anymore after i plugged it in usb port. It only charging the device without any option to choose
I have been trying to connect my phone to laptop, the last time I tried was before the nougat update and it worked. I have tried several different cables, booting the laptop in both win10 and ubuntu. I have installed the correct drivers, updates etc, also tried resetting the phone and resetting win10.
Other phones (Samsung j3 & htc desire) work on both operating systems so I assume it must be the phone.
Anyone have an idea?
If you're meaning connecting to a PC to access data? Then I'm having the same problem. Even when selecting MTP for file transfers. Device manager on PC says it's connected and usable but it doesn't show up anywhere...
...for some odd reason it works just fine when you mount it to a PC in TWRP.
Mine won't show up anywhere, and I don't have twrp. Contacted wileyfox and they want me to send the phone for repair.
