Hi, I'm looking for a rom for my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro. I don't like MIUI so pls don't suggest that. I have just installed the last Lineage relase but I discovered that the fingerprint sensor doesn't work at all .
So I'm looking for a rom based on Nougat that has all the components working properly.

Do they support the fingerprint reader?
Yeah I'm on Nitrogen in the first day i got issue with the fingerprint but after one day it is starting to work perfectly

I think there is no need for the patch since the developer said it's fcp+goodix

Hello, I'm trying to setup an old Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 MTK for gaming.
It's the first xiaomi I change ROMs on.
I would like to know if anyone have any recommendation of the better or most update ROM for this purpose. Pokemon Go will be used in this phone, so it would have to pass safety net and not be rooted.
If possible it would be great to have gapps already installed, and to be multilanguage, but not really a problem as long as it has english.
Anyone of you experts has any recommendation? I have already unlocked bootloader and install twrp (not sure this is working though, when trying to wipe or install ROM I get an error saying /oem partition cannot be mounted, altough ROM is installed)

have you tried the one from demon? Demon seems updating the rom while jhenrique does not update his rom anymore
I see you're on MTK... There's nothing much you can choose from, go with Lineage.

How come oreo based AOSP and NOS rom both supports fpc fingerprint and not goodix? I know they are different, but devs added support for naugat before. So, shouldn't goodix also works on oreo builds too? I don't know much about how kernel source works.Just trying to understand.

the same problem happened for the intial builds of nougat only fpc was supported then later on goodix was supported .
i am a goodix user we gotta wait for a week or 2 for goodix to be supported
Damn it dude. I sometimes feel like throwing this phone away because of goodix. Even miui9(ported) doesn't get support goodix

U guys can easily change ur fingerprint sensor if u are ready to do so....fpc fingerprint hardware are available in the market.(ali express i think)...u can buy and change it urself...

Even better. Install aosp oreo. If fp works than you have fpc and if it doesn't than goodix.

Unfortunately my banking app doesn't work with any custom rom .. I don't why .. I am forcefully stuck with MIUI even though I hate it so much -_-

I did all the things, I know about magisk hide.. I didn't even root the roms.. something is wrong with the app I guess.. It just doesn't work in any custom rom

If you are bored with miui then go for AEX or aosip pizza.
use VIMB kernel for better performance. (optional)
I am a sucker when it comes to AOSP and would love to have atleast one fully working AOSP ROM for my A205F. I have used LOS 16 GSI [UNOFFICIAL] in the past. Everything worked flawlessly on the ROM except that the fingerprint didn't have a gesture control to bring down the notification panel and there was no MTP support. I'd like to know if anyone is going to be cooking up a STABLE LOS ROM for our device?

Everything was better with that GSI (Even thou is was unofficial bro) the fingerprint sensor even worked like x2 faster . You can't beat the speed of clean android. We won't be officially supported anytime soon bro , don't count on it. Someone will have to bake a unofficial custom rom for us.

When I enquired on some problems on the LineageOS Telegram group they said that they didn't have an official GSI out
Yes it's an unofficial gsi made by some guy named Andy, it's not theirs, so they can't provide support.. and as you know problems are meant to happen for a gsi..
Unfortunately A20 don't have enough custom roms available for us to choose from, like Lineage os, paranoid android, Resurrection remix rom, or some pure aosp roms..
