A few days ago I rooted my Moto Z and flashed Lineage OS (build: 18.04.2017) with TWRP.
But when I watched the first YouTube Video, the sound was a little bit strange because sounds under a specific volume weren't played from the speakers of my phone.
It's like a noise reduction, but the complete sound was reduced.
Did anyone here already had that problem or heard of it?
Is there a way to remove it?

I'm a LineageOS user on HTC One M7. I used old versions (cyanogen mod) or also tried different roms (like SlimRom, TeslaOS) for newer versions of Android (currently: Android 7.1.1 with LineageOS 14.1 nightly) and all the results are very similar: either no or very little and squeaky sound on ear audio (call). So i use speaker, but it also works sometimes, or not! There is no problem with music, video etc media; but just on calls.
Is there any else, got the same problem? Could anyone helps pls? Thx in advance...

Hello everybody, I just bought a new Galaxy S III and after a few minutes trying it I installed the last cm 9 stable mod.
But I have a big problem: when I listened to music I noticed that the volume was lower than with the stock rom.
I tried to use sound compression with dsp manager, but the sound results distort.
I experienced the same problem with my i9100 with both cm9 and cm10 (last nightly).
I don't know why, but it would be nice if someone had found a fix for this.

Since yesterday, I installed the Rom Cyanogen 10.1 ( 4.2.2 ) (10.1-20130731-NIGHTLY-i9305)
But I have a problem with every sounds (very low sound), whether it is for the notifications, the phone unlock etc... (The levels of sound are nevertheless at most).
Any idea on the solution to solved this?

I recently bought a xiaomi redmi note 4 global (4ram 64gb) but the problems.
I flashato the rom pixel expirience but I do not want the microphone in the audio (calls, telegram, whatsapp, recordings, programs to test the microphone) but when I make a video the voice is heard, thinking it was a problem of the rom I tried with the resurrection remix OS (nougat), aosp (oreo) cardinal (oreo) but also the same problem no audio yes video.
Tired of being quite strange situation, I turned MIUI 9 off and everything works.
Can you explain to me why this thing?
PS.I have given access to the microphone in all the apps mentioned above for the various tests

After installing custom rom you can try using a module from magisk "android mic fix". Although the description specifies that will repair low volume on the mic. Just check if you're recording anything with the mic at all or just the volume is really low that it should be.

no the microphone is not low just do not go. magisk no let me install due to an unknown ERROR 1 (version 15.3 / 15.4).
Since installing LOS 14.1 i've had a few problems with my microphone like in WhatsApp voice notes sounded distorted and slow.
This problem was fixed by installing AldeLOS kernel, but i have another problem which was not fixed.
While playing PUBG and using headphones, my mic doesn't work. I tried with many headphones and it doesn't work so I know they're not the problem.
But if I use the phone's microphone it works. So I don't understand what the problem is and how to fix it.

Hi everyone. Audio is not working on this cheap tablet which has worked fine until recently.
With stock Android 6.1 audio stopped working a couple of weeks ago. Dolby Atmos permissions were grayed out. This was one of the reasons I installed Lineage 14.1 the other day. Unfortunately, different app (AudioFX) but same problem, no sound and grayed out permissions.
Could any of the good folk here suggest a solution or workaround regarding no sound? Are there any other audio apps that might work?

Did the speaker stopped working all of a sudden while using the device in stock ROM?
If YES then I am afraid to say that this might be a hardware related problem.
Maybe your speakers failed, in the most severe case or maybe the gold contact pins aren't making a good contact anymore: what I mean to say is that your speakers might have gotten disconnected physically after dropping the device maybe.
