So my Nexus 6p it's dying so quickly lately don't know what to do !

Has anyone here try to change battery and see if the problem it's that the batteries are the problem to deal Whit ? ....
If so what kind of battery u got and how much it's a reasonable price for it to be done ...
Tnkx in advance

You can try and look at this thread for the battery replacement https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/accessories/oem-battery-t3534410.
I switched to DU and my battery life is so much better now. Night and day really.
Talking about DU , were they banned from XDA or how come there it's not sing of them not a single Rom for any phone ?

So, Whats DU and RC?
I am new to this and I need a custom ROM for Nexus 6p. Tried MIUI 8 but the battery drains like mad. Can you guys suggest me the best CUSTOM os for very good battery life?

DU is dirty unicorns. Search Google to find the website, I'm not allowed to link it here. It's pretty much aosp with many possibly tweaks built right in.
RC means release candidate, as in there could be possible bugs.

Not necessarily. I love DU but the devs seem to have a very short fuse if someone asks a question they don't like.

After watching thousands of videos about android L I'm really thinking about changing my G2 for Nexus 5. Maybe because I had nexus 4 and maybe because of so many developers, I dont know. Anyone else ?
I don't care about android L and for me G2 is still better choice
No thanks. We'll have Android L soon anyway either through the upcoming port OCEANDEV and Co is working on or through CM

I did switch, returning my N5 tomorrow, its not worth the battery sacrifice. That and L is way, way to buggy. While i was using the N5 i went back to 4.4.4, L is that unusable as it is now.
Got N5 here dual booting L
anyone in the uk/london area wants to swap?

Hmm well that'd be an argument from the other side. Thanks for your input. I, for one, love my g2. N5 is lame sauce!
We are gonna get L soon anyway, why sacrifice amazing 4k camera and massive battery just to get android a month or two earlier than the rest of people on xda, and those people who actually wait for carrier updates. They would probably get L 6 months later, if they ever do get it. (Not counting HTC)

I don't know or it still exists but i also read that LG G2 Official cm11 builds had Lagg because of some outdated thing and those kind of things but it got fixed on unofficial builds right? Also the official bug list god.
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Known_Issues_page_for_d802
I hope they will fix the things in cm12 but else the awesome devs here will fix those problems:victory:

Best case i got was 4hours screen on time on about 17 hours total time. Which is a good 50% less than the g2 on a bad day.
Not saying this is what everyone will get, but for me that is the case.
Yeah I know, G2 has amazing camera and battery but on the other hand, my previous phone was nexus 4 with LOT of development and I'm kinda used to have all the latest builds

No, that would be silly.
nope

To have it earlier? No way.. thats not even a valid reason to switch the better G2 for an N5 (the N5 is great too, no doubt, but the G2 has better battery and camera - for me).
We'll have Android L sooner or later too, so.. just patience and its fine

Mine previous phone was also the N4 but the reason i quitted was that there were too many roms like on the N5 which all are just looking AOSP so no thanks. You can go to the N5 if you really want much development but the g2 also got already much development. Else when we figured out the black vertical lines issue and when i will receive my G2 then i will try to make a Port guide how to port the roms just like Porting nexus 4 roms to optimus g:laugh:

Check the slim n5 thread, I believe yank is getting 1 end of the month.
Yep, been awhile since using a Slim rom...
Slim unfortunately went from hands down the best to just a side piece. It used to be consistent, ALWAYS STABLE, everything worked, and devs like @Jubakuba @kufikugel and others were literally adding features per request like it was easy. Original features like chamber of secrets and more. Cataclysm has dominated the Nexus 5 forums since LP

It's a totally different experience with Nexus 6 SlimPop, Yank's builds have been the most solid, slick LP rom with all the great Slim features.
Chroma is already available for 6p and is very very stable. Anyone who has used it knows the dev, zephiK, is very active and is always in the thread supporting issues and releasing builds every few days. Check is out if you haven't.

Paranoid FTW!!!!!! It has minor bugs but it is awesome it used to be. The bugs will be cleared in coming weeks for sure.
I actually like OOS. It runs smooth on 3.0.2. It might not have all the options of other roms but I'm happy with it.

Definitely feel the need. Here's the manifest. https://github.com/AOSPA/manifest AOSPA gives very good instructions in the readme

Well, I already tried to build AOSPA & AOSCP, Both were buggy as hell Booted, but almost unusable. :crying: :crying: :crying:
Unfortunately I'm not expert enough ( you can mark me as a noob actually ) to fix them.
Recently all are waiting for nougat rollout. So am I.
even some ROMs manifests on Github are already updated to nougat!!!
Lets wait for a stable device tree to be rolled out for our device. Looking forward to our chief devs( crpalmer, baddaemon, gopi, jsbeyond & all)

You're welcome mate. I myself do hope that , The more the merrier.
Actually development seems to be halted & I myself can't say that I'm not restless... but without a stable device tree or kernel, I can't build myself. But I can assure development is NOT halted & devs are surely looking into stuffs in their free time for the sweet( I mean nougat ofcourse )
BTW, did you try building rom yourself? or have any cool ideas about testing different toolchains with different roms?
I'm currently testing UBER toolchain with RR, it does not work weel :crying: :crying: :crying: & I don't know whats the problem :crying:
